Do you know what, I have just realised that this would have been the perfect present for my brother. If only I hadn't already bought him a few pressies! May have to wait until next year now!

I absolutely loved Subboteo, of course. My version was the American one as it was after/around World Cup '94. Had the scoreboard and cardboard cutout of each nation to keep track.

Yes - remember playing this as a kid - was never that good at it and don't think I played that much - I think at that age I preferred to be in the park with jumpers for goalposts instead kicking the real thing

Me n my bro loved it.

I bought a new pitch the other year.

And a few of us played it.

Cant wait for my 19 month old son to be old enough to play with.

Played it but never really enjoyed it. I much preferred computer games or playing the real thing outside!

I owned a couple of teams and build a stadium back in the 80's. thing was, I was totally footballminded but none of my friends were. Had a lot of friends and family in the UK who supplied me with this shit, but never had anyone to play..

Always thought it looked amazing but never ever actually enjoyed a game of Subbuteo. Find it boring, dense and overly-fiddly to play. Plus everybody I ever played "flicked to kick and I didn't know".

I've never even seen or heard of this game.... but then again, football wasn't big over here when I was growing up...... however every kid I know had this:

I was a big fan of Tomy Super Cup Soccer (http://www.branchofscience.com/2014/05/museum-of-plastic-tomy-super-cup-football/), which is clearly a battery-operated table ice hockey game that was repackaged and marketed as a football game.
