Hello and welcome to the very first season of the new Ultimate Managers League!

This league has been set up for managers all over the world to prove that they are the ultimate manager. A highly anticipated competition that the world has been anxiously looking forward to that will see the top managers take on eachother in a battle for the ultimate glory!

The application proces for this league went quite well as a total of eleven managers decided to take on the challenge in this very first season. Let's introduce the managers to the public:

    1. ebfatz (England) - Our first applicant is none other than the leader of the CM Vipers Right Back Union, manager ebfatz! He's well known for his natural leadership and is always making himself known on the different social mediums.

    2. Redknapp69 (Wales) - Joining us from the country of the sheep-shaggers is all-rounding giant Redknapp69! This competition will certainly will be up his alley as he can fully live up to his nickname, King Haggler, with no more than 15 auction rounds this season!

    3. trunky (England) - The third manager to apply to this competition is second in command of the CM Vipers Left Back Union, trunky! No one really knows how old he is, but legend has it that he has seen Pelé play live! Definately the most experienced git of them all.

    4. AJ (The Netherlands) - As fourth manager we welcome none other than the main striker of the CM Vipers and important part of the Challenge Team, AJ von Krondor! His years of experience in all ranks of the football society and his lethalness on the pitch will make AJ a major competitor in this league!

    5. pyromyst (England) - The fifth manager we introduce to you is the DTL's Super 6 main gambler, pyromyst! This Plymouth native has a strong bond with his local team and he's taking them to new heights in the DTL! Can he be just as succesful in this league?

    6. Janis89 (Norway) - Joining from the land of the vikings is none other than second main striker of the CM Vipers, Janis89! While he has a harmoniously bond with fellow striker AJ at the CM Vipers, it's yet to be seen if Janis89 will be as friendly in this league!

    7. Mark (England) - As our seventh manager, ladies and gentleman, we've managed to land an absolute world class manager. Known and respected by almost everyone as the Chairman or Gaffer, we present to you: Mark! He might be the manager with the most stature in this league, but he still will have to prove that he can do better than last season in the DTL where he relegated with Arsenal.

    8. colml (Ireland) - Joining us from the most beautiful of the two British Isles is colml! He has shown with a good start in the CML that he has a good eye for spotting the best players! A lot will be expected from him in the auctions!

    9. Erkifino (Ireland) - Although he comes from the same isle as colml, his name would point you more towards a Brazilian type of guy, so here is Erkifino! He absolutly romped the DTL season 11 winning four of the available eight trophies and finishing second in the league! He's known to be a tough negotiatior who haggles on the limit!

    10. evesham (unknown) - Joining us from a country unknown (to me at least) is none other than CM Viper DMC, evesham! If he's as reliable in this league as he is in front of the CM Viper defense, we can certainly expect a lot from him this season!

    11. London35 (unknown) - Our final contestant is also from an unknown country (again to me) and is none other than CM Viper left winger London35. A very active manager that many people know for his endurance (how else can you get to a +50 year network play save game?) and his lightning quick moves down the left touchline! Will certainly bring something exciting to this league!

These are the eleven contestants for this seasons Ultimate Managers League. We will now go on to the main part of tonight which is the revealing of the Poll's result in what country the season is going to take place and the allocation of the teams to the managers!

And here come's the result of the Poll. In what nation is the first season of the Ultimate Managers League going to take place?

    Spoiler!

It's in the German Bundesliga! It was a close call with the English Premier League in second place, but it seems like we're going to Germany!

Now onto the allocation of the teams. A blind lottery will determine which team each manager is going to manage. The remaining teams will be managed by so called AI managers who will keep the selections they now have and mostly intact. Let's just hope someone gets Bayern Münich and/or Borussia Dortmund, because with those two teams in the league, the competition will only get much fiercer!

    Here come's the draw:

    1. ebfatz
    Spoiler!

    2. Redknapp69
    Spoiler!

    3. trunky
    Spoiler!

    4. AJ
    Spoiler!

    5. pyromyst
    Spoiler!

    6. Janis89
    Spoiler!

    7. Mark
    Spoiler!

    8. colml
    Spoiler!

    9. Erkifino
    Spoiler!

    10. evesham
    Spoiler!

    11. London35
    Spoiler!

Well now that we know which manager is going to manage what team, we can look forward to the start of the season! Join us again Sunday 19th November at 21:00 UK time to get a live view of the first auction round!!

Had to slip in the relegation with Arsenal I was playing the long game there, y'know!

Was kinda hoping to land Hoffenheim but RB Leipzig will do!

Last night was a crazy night with the introduction of the eleven managers that are going to take part in this season Ultimate Managers League.

Now that we know in what country this first season of the UML is going to take place and that all managers are assigned a team, we can look forward to the next phase: The Auctions!

Every manager has gotten himself a club and they will have to build up their squad through certain 'Auctions'. There will be a total of ten auctions and in each auction a list of 50 potential players will be presented to the managers. They can then make bids on max 5 players per auction and after all bids are made, it will be announced who has won which players. In the event of a tied bid, the involved managers will have to submit a re-bid until one of them wins the player.

Every team will have a starting funds of 50 million and with that money they are required to sign AT LEAST 18 players to be able to participate in the league. It's expected that every manager will be able to at least sign between 20 and 30 players. In the case some managers are really unlucky in the auctions and get less than 18 players, there will be a final auction that contains all the players that weren't picked in the first 10 auctions. The managers who have less than 18 players are then allowed to bid on as many players as they need to get to 18 players. So for example: if a manager landed 11 players in the first ten auctions, he can then make 7 bids for players. The other managers however are also allowed to participate in this auction, but can only make 3 bids for players. This will continue until all the managers have at least 18 players.

Well now that the auction proces has been made clear, it's time for a little sneak preview game of the auctions to warm up our managers!

Can you guess what players are going to be in the auctions based on this information?

    1. This striker is lightning fast, always has a big smile and has a FUT rating of 88!
    2. This attacking midfielder is fluent in many languages, has a magic touch on the ball and has a FUT rating of 87!
    3. This keeper is well known for his giant ears, great reflexes and has a FUT rating of 89!
    4. This forward makes a theather out of everything, works his ass off all the time and has a FUT rating of 87!
    5. This defender always goes in hard on tackles, marks Messi out of the game and has a FUT rating of 88!

We'll be looking forward to the managers predictions and will post the players tomorrow night!

I want to, but like Redders pointed out earlier: not everyone gets on here every day and especially in the weekend. So by waiting until sunday everyone has the chance to prepare for it.

Tonight we will reveal the five players who were teased last night and they will be in the coming auctions for sure!

    1. This striker is lightning fast, always has a big smile and has a FUT rating of 88!

The managers seemed to think this one was either Liverpool's Mané or Atlético's Griezmann. They were all wrong, because it is:
    Spoiler!

    2. This attacking midfielder is fluent in many languages, has a magic touch on the ball and has a FUT rating of 87!

The managers seemed to think that this one was Croatian midfielder Modric, but they were again wrong since it is:
    Spoiler!

    3. This keeper is well known for his giant ears, great reflexes and has a FUT rating of 89!

Lloris was named the most for this one, but again wrong since it is:
    Spoiler!

    4. This forward makes a theather out of everything, works his ass off all the time and has a FUT rating of 87!

The most named one was Diego Costa and although it matches the discription, they were again wrong since it is:
    Spoiler!

    5. This defender always goes in hard on tackles, marks Messi out of the game and has a FUT rating of 88!

The only right guess came from Erkifino on this one, since it is:
    Spoiler!

So far the managers haven't been on point with the exception for one good guess from Erkifino who wins this round. Let's see if they can do better on the next five players!

    1. This fast winger does amazing dribbles on the right flank, is known to dive a lot and has a FUT rating of 88!
    2. This striker always has to stand in the shadow of superstars, argues over taking freekicks and has a FUT rating of 87!
    3. This goalkeeper still is one of the best in the world despite his age, is respected by the whole football world and has a FUT rating of 89!
    4. This defender is really voiced about his political opinion, always plays with long sleeves and has a FUT rating of 87!
    5. This false 9 is the top goalscorer for his country, has moved back to the club of his youth and has a FUT rating of 81!

Let's see what the managers make of this one! Tomorrow night we'll reveal these five players to the audience! To make it even more exciting, the manager who gets the most right answers will be awarded a special prize!
