New Bury signing Jermaine Pennant has had a nightmare start to life at his new club — after someone stole thousands of pounds of cash from his locker during training, according to The Sun.

FFS - Why would you carry that much cash around?! Loved the guy when he was at Stoke but what a tit!

What did Akpan do? Couldn't see anything in the clip?

Ball boy incident was out of order

Been banned for six games now!

Akpan gave the referee a little push. He'd scored but was ruled out for a foul.

A good read about Sherwood at Swindon - What's going on there, Coys?

I'm still waiting for Coys to clarify what's happening at Swindon Looks like most people don't know anyway

Not going well for Leyton Orient at the moment either although sounds like they've finally been paid their wages from March.

Newcastle always guaranteed to go straight back up, especially with how much they spent. They'll need a lot more work though to stay up next season.

Where to even begin regarding Swindon...

Are you familiar with the Di Canio era Mark? he basically came in, rejuvenated the town and got us promoted. However in doing so we were massively overspending in terms of wages. Our playing budget was suicidal for a club our size. We gambled and it didn't pay off in the end, we were forced to sell Matt Ritchie on January Deadline to avoid going into admin and Di Canio subsequently resigned.

When Di Canio left, Lee Power took control of the football club and immediately told fans he would be slashing the budget in half and running it like a business. He wanted to implement a philosophy of playing a passing brand of football with young, inexpensive players. The hope was that we could develop these young players and sell them on for a profit, therefore stabilising the club and hopefully progressing.

At first it worked, finishing 7th and then 4th (with a playoff final) but eventually all the talent was sold and not replaced. Swindon fans are incredibly frustrated with the lack of investment in the team - especially considering we've sold millions of pounds worth of talent in the last 2 years alone.

Our manager Luke Williams boasts one of the lowest win percentages of any manager in the football league, yet is still in a job. He's completely out of his depth. A good coach but not a manager. He can't motivate the players or even get them fit, most of them gasping for air around the 70th minute mark. He has no plan B and often makes terrible subs.

Where did it really go wrong this season? Tim Sherwood. He came in and hung around the place like a bad smell. Nobody knew who was in charge. Is Williams the boss or Sherwood? who do the players try to impress in training? who are they playing for?

It's worth noting aswell that during this whole time Sherwood wasn't being paid to be Director of Football. This was just a bit of fun on the side for him. I know a lot of people who are completely devastated by what's happened at Swindon and Sherwood can't even take the role seriously. Promising he will bring in experienced players and he doesn't. Not attending games, instead appearing on various TV shows or Radio stations like TalkSport. The club has become a joke. A laughing stock really.

And Lee Power has done an unreal job at Waterford. Obviously a completely different level but he's brought in everyone you'd want a club - decent manager, decent DoF (Pat Fenlon) and club legends coaching at every level. The playing staff is probably 5-6 short of being a mid table Premier Division team.

There lies the problem. At Swindon Lee Power is in charge of everything. He handled all of the player sales, recruitment and kept Williams in a job when he was clearly out of his depth.

We may have spent but it's not like we were throwing away money. Look at our net spend - http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/newca...saison_id/2016

That said you are right. We need work as we bought predominantly Championship players. I'm not buying the whole 'we only have 4 Premier League standard players' rubbish that I have heard over the last 24 hours.
Heard Rafa may be given 70m to spend.
I'll believe that when I see it.

So does Lee Power actually own two clubs? Looks like both Sherwood and Williams need to be moved on at Swindon.

ebfz - I'm hoping there is no substance to the rumour that Rafa wants Shawcross!

Yeah he own's both. If he'd done Swindon right he'd have a great feeder link to the better LOI players. Not sure what the rules are on transfers between 2 clubs owned by the same owner though. Be handy for free transfer with 25% add-ons for Waterford.

Watford/Udinese and Formerly Granada till they were sold off.

Worked well enough for those 3 initially.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but am I right in saying Tom Smith who is on loan at Waterford from Swindon has had a big impact there?

Would you say the Irish second division is conference standard?
