    [STORY] Gary Lineker Lives Again

    We're going back to 1978.

Gary Lineker is 17 years old.

And signs his first professional Contract with Leicester City.

    We'll track his career.
And see if he can perform better this time around with today's crop of players.

In Lineker's first season with Leicester City, they were playing in the old English 2nd Division. So the equivalent of the Championship of today, which is where Leicester City find themselves as Gary joins them for the start of the season.

In real life he played 7 games scoring 1 goal as Leicester City finished 17th just 3 points above the Relegation Zone.

Will his Champ Man Re-Lived Career be any better?
    Hang about to find out......

Ahhh memories of doing something similar with Ronaldo and someone else lol. It's always interesting to see if they can replicate their real life careers.

No yellow cards in his entire career, bet he doesn't match that.

Also you'll need to wib/wob him so he never leaves the penalty box

Not sure he ever scored a single goal outside the box?

I remember Van Nistelrooy only scored one for United and that was deflected against Charlton.

Gary Lineker Signs Professional Contract with Leicester City.

Leicester City have announced that youth team striker Gary Lineker has signed a contract with the club.
The 17 year old has been one of the most prolific goalscorers for the Youth Side.

He has been involved with the club since he was 14 years old and is glad to finally sign on the dotted line.
"I've always dreamt of playing in a proper match for Leicester City and can't wait to pull on the shirt when I get chance.
I will give it my all.
    " Said an excited Lineker.

Manager Nigel Pearson offered hope that Lineker would be involved this season.
"He's a terrific lad, hard working and honest. I'm sure he'll get a chance to shine at some point this season."

However with David Nugent and Chris Wood, experienced front men, also in the Squad,
BBC Sport believes games will be hard to come by this season for Lineker in the Championship.

    In Real Life.
Gary Lineker Made his debut for Leicester City as an 18 Year old on the 1st January 1979 in a 2-0 home win against Oldham
    .

But on the 1st January in my game in 2002, Lineker had made just 3 appearances for the reserves.

But Leicester City were doing ok without him. Placed 3rd in the League after 26 games.

    Nugent Injury Rocks Leicester City

David Nugent suffered an injury in training this morning and will miss today's match.
It is unsure how long the Striker, who has 13 goals this season, will be out for.
It is expected a shuffle in formation will allow Nigel Pearson to play just 1 striker in the forthcoming matches.
This is a blow to Young Striker Gary Lineker who will have been hoping to make his debut for Leicester City.
Instead he will have to settle for a place on the bench.

LOCAL LAD SET FOR CITY DEBUT

Rumour has it that Nigel Pearson will today hand Gary Lineker a start and his debut for Leicester City.
David Nugent is still not fully fit and Pearson is going with 2 up front today against Burnley.
City need 3 points to push on for the promotion places in the Championship.
And despite Lineker not thriving in three games he has had for the reserves he is held in high regard at the club.

4 shots 4 on target, that's a good start for Lineker.

Yes, but he also won a tackle, so this is completely unrealistic

Went up for 4 headers and won just 1. realism returns.

Leicester City, Hull City & Leeds in 3 Way battle for Automatic Promotion

Going into the final game of the Championship Season.
Any one of Leeds, Leicester or Hull City can seal Automatic Promotion to the Premier League.

With 1 game to go, Hull are in 2nd place on 83 points.
Leicester City are in 3rd place on 82 points.
With Leeds in 4th place on goal difference.
If Hull slip up at Home, all Leicester need is 3 points away at Huddersfield.
If they also slip up a win for Leeds will see them up in 2nd place.
Joining Champions Bolton in the Premier League.

They won 3-1 in Burnley. And despite a nervy 1-0 home defeat in the 2nd leg. They made it to the Final.

Middlesbrough beat Leicester City in Playoff Final after 5 goal thriller

    [B]

So Leicester City and Gary Lineker were to spend another year fighting to get out of the Championship.

Lineker didn't play in much of the run in.
Only making 5 appearances all season and not getting on the score-sheet in any of them.

Nigel Pearson leaves Leicester City to take up Swansea Role.

Nigel Pearson has left Leicester City to take over as Swansea Manager.
Pearson couldn't resist the offer to manager in the Premier League.
It comes after the Swansea Manager Brian Laudrup took over at Newcastle.
Pearson's assistant Lee Bradbury has taken over team affairs on a rolling contract.
Young Striker Gary Lineker hopes this will lead to more game time. He said...
"I didn't have a problem with Nige, but I didn't feel like I was given a fair chance in the team.
The new gaffer has always understood my style of play and hopefully that will bear fruit this season."

Leicester City Off to a Good Start in New Season.

Leicester City were off to a flying start in the Championship as they look to get out of the division this season.
They collapsed towards the end of last season missing out on Automatic Promotion on the Final day.
Then losing in the playoff Final against Middlesbrough.
This time out they won the first 4 league games.
However they have one just 1 more in the 4 games after that but find themselves in 4th place after 8 games.
Gary Lineker scored in the 2-0 win over Barnsley early in the season to record his first goal for the club.
However he has scored just once more in the following 6 league games without playing well and his place is under threat.
Although nearly all of his league performances have been cut short with him being subbed off.
    Sometimes immediately after half time.
Although Lineker has looked better in the League Cup.
Scoring all 3 of Leicester's goals in the 2 wins so far in the Competition.

Picking up now, are you going to insert the true life transfers to Everton, Barcelona, Spurs and Grampus 8?
Or let him find his own path?
