Adelaide United have officially announced the capture of Blacktown City and FFA Cup standout Danny Choi.
The 21-year-old, who is capable of the spectacular, signed on as an injury replacement for the Reds Argentine star, Marcelo Carrusca.
Carrusca is expected to be sidelined by an ongoing foot injury for the opening few matches.

Adelaide United has announced that former Blacktown City winger Danny Choi has departed the Hyundai A-League Champions.
Choi, who made two appearances for the Reds, signed for the Club as an injury replacement for Marcelo Carrusca.
Due to Carrusca’s return to Adelaide United’s playing squad in the team’s 2-1 loss to Central Coast Mariners on Sunday, Choi is no longer available for selection.
The club also advised that Choi has suffered a stress fracture in his foot and subsequently had surgery to repair the extent of the injury, which could take 10-12 weeks to recover.
Wellington Phoenix have been rocked with the news that head coach Ernie Merrick has resigned from his position, effective immediately.
The Kiwi outfit has struggled in the opening nine rounds, recording just two wins to sit bottom of the Hyundai A-League.
The two-time A-League champion felt that with recent results he had taken the team as far as he could.

"I take full responsibility for position the team is currently in," Merrick said.
"I feel that I have not performed well enough as Head Coach, as we have a very strong squad that should be higher up the table.
"It's therefore the right time for me to step aside and allow someone else to take over. We have a run of home games coming up and I think this will give my successor the best opportunity to take the team forward.
"I'd like to thank everyone at Wellington Phoenix for the past three years and particularly Welnix, the Chairman and the board who have been nothing but supportive during this time."
The club understands the decision and thanked Merrick for the hard work and dedication he has put in during the past three years.
Wellington Phoenix have appointed Chris Greenacre and Des Buckingham as joint Interim Head Coaches while the club undergoes a thorough process to fill the role full time.

John van 't Schip to free
Melbourne City have today announced that Head Coach John van’t Schip has resigned with immediate effect.
The 53-year-old will return to his native Holland to contribute to the palliative care of his Father.
Michael Valkanis has been appointed interim first team coach with immediate effect while the Club conducts a search for a permanent replacement for van’t Schip.

Attacking midfielder Dimitri Petratos will leave the Roar at the end of the season after four seasons at the club.
He will join Newcastle Jets from next season on a three-year contract.
His brother and former FFA Centre of Excellence man Kosta Petratos is also confirmed at Newcastle for 2018.
Adelaide United have announced a big shake up of their squad for the remainder of the season headlined by the signing of experienced South Korean midfielder Kim Jae-sung.
Kim will be eligible to play in both the Reds’ upcoming AFC Champions League campaign as well as the remainder of the Hyundai A-League.
The 33-year-old has accumulated over 380 appearances in his homeland, most notably with K League Classic heavyweights Pohang Steelers, winning the coveted Asian Champions League in 2009.
His stellar performances earned him a call-up to the South Korean National Team, where he featured in three of the country’s four games at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Kim, who scored two goals in 16 international caps, is known for his versatility, and can operate anywhere in midfield.
He is also renowned for his technical ability, excellent vision, and endurance to cover a lot of ground across the park.
In addition to his spell with Pohang, Kim has represented Jeju United – one of Adelaide’s Group H opponents.
Adelaide United Head Coach, Guillermo Amor, said: “We are very happy to sign Kim for the rest of the season.
“He is a player with a lot of experience and has played at a very high level in his entire career.
“Having him available for our Asian Champions League season as well is very important and he will help us in this competition for sure.”
Adelaide United also wishes to advise it has completed the signing of Eli Babalj for the remainder of the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 season and 2017 AFC Champions League.
