Former Cork City manager Tommy Dunne has been appointed team manager for the newly formed Galway Football Club as they enter the Airtricity League for the 2014 season.

Mick Cooke today made three more signings as he continues to build a squad for the upcoming 2014 Premier Season.
First signing sees the return of defender and our own captain fantastic Aidan Collins who signs for another year after leading the club to the Airtricity League Division One title.
Micks second signing sees 29 year old centre back Derek Prendergast joining from Drogheda United. Derek first entered league of ireland with Kilkenny City in 2005 before heading back to non league football with Bangor Celtic where he won the FAI Intermediate Player of the Year award in 2009. He then moved to bray before signing for Mick Cooke at Drogheda United. Derek is described as a commanding center back.
Third signing of the day sees 27 year old midfielder Sean Brennan join from Shelbourne. Sean is the brother of Ryan and Killian Brennan. Sean played for Drogheda U21 before moving to Drogheda Town where he was snapped up by Monaghan United after an impressive cup performance against Bohemian FC. He made his league debut in July 2008. He won promotion with Monaghan United in 2010 scoring 13 goals from midfield before joining his old boss Mick Cooke at Drogheda helping them finish second in the league. He joined Shelbourne in 2012 and now joins up with Mick Cooke for a third time in his carreer.

Shamrock Rovers boss Trevor Croly has completed the signing of Ryan Brennan and David O'Connor ahead of the 2014 Airtricity League Premier Division season.
Brennan joins Rovers having spent the last two seasons at Drogheda United, having signed from Monaghan United, while O’Connor has spent the last four seasons with UCD having played schoolboy football for Belvedere.
Mick Cooke continues to build his Athlone Town squad ahead of their return to the League of Ireland Premier Division with the announcement of two more signings. Former Drogheda United and Shelbourne goalkeeper Paul Skinner has re-signed for the midlands club whilst Graham Rusk becomes the fourth player to follow Cooke from the Drogs to Athlone
