I was only using iosmount and wine to run CM0102 on Ubuntu .
But glad there is more detailed tutorial around here .
So many options with linux it's brilliant. But I thought playonlinux/furiusiso was the most user friendly.
I guess 2 later ones are fairly new additions as I haven't heard of them (but, I haven't used Ubuntu or Linux for that matter since 2007 ).
Plus I always find without using playonlinux CM runs too slow.
Trying to see if I can get the Tapani patcher working in Xubuntu.
Not work. When start new game need disk, cant run the game, please help
Mount it again via our virtual drive
1. Open playonlinux.
2. Click configure
3. On Wine tab, click configure Wine.
4. On drives tab, click autodetect. (Make sure the D drive is your CM0102 cdrom)
5. Then apply.
Let me know how you get on. If it still doesn't work please take a screenshot of your drives tab and I will help
I send u pm
No problem, I will also reply to the thread so that anyone with this issue can find the solution.
1. Make sure when you configure Wine that the correct bottle is highlighted.
2. Once the iso has been mounted, in your drives tab you need to click "show advanced"
- Make sure the type is "CD-ROM"
- Check autodetect from device
- Make sure the drive letter is D.
From your screenshot your path seems correct but as per the above your drive letter needs changing and device type needs to be set to CD-ROM.
Before starting CM open your file manager and make sure your ISO has been mounted. Click on the mounted cd-rom to make sure your system has loaded it.
I use pcmanfm and unless I open my file manager it will not load my cd-rom.
I solve problem, in tab drivers change drive letter to D, and u Show Advanced I change device type CD-ROM (was Local hard disk) and now work
Hi, first of all i would like to thank you for all this work, it really helped me install cm0102 on ubuntu 13.10, the only thing i can complain is that now the game doesn't recognize some simbols like ~^´``but that isn't a problem.
Now can you help me with something? Is it possible to make the Tapani Patch work? Because i was able to make the JL Patch work (just replaced the exe file with a patched one) but i would like to use the Tapani Patch to correct the league formats, is it possible?
Can you send me that? Witch Tapani Patch? The one who corrects the game bugs and league structures (3.12) or the one that just corrects game bugs (2.19)? Anyway, can you please send me that exe file? because i only have ubuntu in my computer and can't make it work.
I've tried the above but am having similar problems to Kuig. I have followed all the instructions up to "Make sure the drive letter is D." Automatically it assigns the drive as H. The only way I could work out to change it to D was to Add a new drive with the letter D, replicate the path it suggested for drive H and then make sure it had type as CD-ROM. However, the game still does not recognize that the CD is in the drive.
The .iso is definitely mounted and I opened the file manager to check. I'm clearly missing something here, but not sure what. I would appreciate any help, thanks!
Would you mind posting some screenshots? I would like to see the cd within the file manager and also the wine drive configuration.
Wine drive configuration:
CD within the file manager:
Many thanks in advance for the help!
The D path looks incorrect to me.
Let me know who you got on.
I'm afraid it still doesn't recognise that the disc is there:
And here are all the relevant screens with the address changed:
My fault I think.
If that does not work unmount from furiusiso and re mount but choose loop instead of fuse.
Many thanks Zé - worked like a dream this time
Sorry I have a further question now I'm up and running. I'm not quite sure how to install the data updates. I've downloaded the Autumn update and unzipped the folder but I'm having a hard time working out where to go in order to paste the data files. Any ideas?
Updated the opening post. Included a tutorial on how to use tools created by JL and made the installation tutorial easier to follow.
If you would prefer an icon that is not pixelated then:
You can also add it to your dash.
Just right click the shortcut and choose properties and click on the icon and you can choose your new icon.
