I need help, I enter my address hamachi in .net file but after saving if I open the game and the computer changes the ip in 192.168.... not hamachi ip...how can I do to fix it? thanks and sorry for my english
i have the same problem as dadaldo any solutions?
after changing the file make it read only in the properties (right click)
Also, delete the ip.exe file from the main cm folder.
My flatmate and I used to play via Hamachi years ago and want to get back into a network game.
When playing via Hamachi, are you essentially playing over 'the internet' rather than on a home network? Is the data exchanged via the host and the client going out and back through our broadband line in the big wide world, or just through our home network router? Is it possible just to hook up a network cable directly between our two laptops and play that way, with no router or internet as a go-between?
i'm new here ,
i want to play online with a friend ,
i make all ok with hamachi , my ip adress is the same with hamachi
i gave the ip adress to my friend so that he can join the game i created
but unfortunately i can't join it , it says the connection failed
can please anyone help the fix that issue ???
edit : there is no cpuin file in the folder that you indicate
Pretty disheartening. Was looking forward to getting a network game going with my brother with the shiny new October 2014 Update. Just can't get it to work.
Both using Windows 7, same files being used by both. I've been trying to get it to work for hours now, and this isn't the first time either that I've tried and miserable failed.
When I followed the instructions, I managed to start up a network game with the Hamachi IP address being shown. I got the Hamachi address sorted on my brother's laptop as well, but when trying to connect to my network game it shows the little football (loading) for a few moments then returns the error,'could not join network game'.
After trying several more times, then restarting he computer, I found that the Hamachi IP was no longer being shown and my 192.xxxx IP was visible in both the -net file and in the game.
I've manually changed the -net file to match Hamachi IP, and used Chris' helpful advice above but still can't seem to join a network game.
I wondered if it was firewall settings, but disabling Comodo and Windows Firewall gave the same results.
So envious of you lot playing network games!!!
Anyone know how I might finally get it to work - would really appreciate the help.

my mate has Windows 8 and I have Windows 7 would still be possible to have a network game.
the ip file doesn't open for me on windows 10 any suggestions
Does it say it doesn`t open? Or is because you don`t see anything happening when you double click it?
