KDS tactic at the start of the thread looks like the way teams used to be set up in the old pro evo games.

    See how it goes

I've created my own 4-1-2-1-2 tactic with wib/wob. I started the game with De Graafschap (Dutch) in the First Division. The first season I won the title. The next four seasons I finished second in the Premier Division behind PSV. The following three seasons I won the title. I won the Dutch Cup two times and the Dutch Super Cup four times. I´ve won the Champions League in my seventh season! I´ve reached the quarter final two times. In season eight I won the European Super Cup, the Intercontinental Cup and the World Championship.

My balance is over 250.000.000 euros and I have a transfer fund arround 75.000.000 euros.
I quit playing because my board or the local council blocks my plans of expending my stadium. It has a capacity of only 20.000 visitors.

I use this tactic succesfully with other teams now.

That looks like prime suspect or one of the old classic tacs. WATP

I know this probably isn't the best place to ask but can anyone recommend a good non wib/wob tac for English lower leagues? I've tried making my own for the default templates but seem to suck at it!!!

    Go with the default 4-1-3-2.

    Mentality - Attacking
Passing - Short (or Mixed is fine)
    Tackling - Hard
    Pressing - Yes
    Offside Trap - Yes

Set everyone to Zonal Marking. Have the middle MC on Forward Runs, Run With Ball, Try Through Balls - turn off Long Shots
Have the left SC with Forward Runs, Hold Up Ball
Have the right SC with Forwards Runs, Run with Ball
Left and right MC, Run with Ball, Long Shots, Forwards Runs
DMC, Run With Ball (Turn off Long Shots if on)
DL and DR, Run With Ball, Cross Ball
DC's - Man-Marking, No Forward Runs, No Run with Ball.
    GK, Passing Mixed.

Strong player with good Balance for the left SC and fast player with decent Dribbling for the right SC.

    Should be solid enough.

4-4-1-1 has been decent for me in the lower divisions.

The guy in behind the striker on free role and the two CMs on Hard Tackling

Attacking with Mixed or change to Direct for a push during the game.

all other settings untouched maybe Pressing the odd time.

The little and large strikeforce always does well in that formation

    Probably better on 00/01 though

It was better on 00/01 IMO. It's still a devil to play aginst if the computer is a good team, mind. Zdenek Zeman

Good to see the non-wibwob thread going strong in here

I've been wondering for some time what Total Football would look like in CM01-02.

    Thanks for that.

Total Football is a concept, not a formation

there's a tacts pack for Euro winners.

    Clockwork Orange '88 is there.

But to be honest, I was a bit disappointed... expecting to see some Total Football concept translated into the XI shape on the pitch, but like Alan said, that is not possible

The formations for those packs were taken from World Soccer magazine so whether the Dutch line-up for 4-4-2 and played differently is a debate in itself.

    Tactics.JPG

That's my normal mentality tactics. I have attacking and defending also.
The diffrences are that i attacking I have attacking mentality (duh) and in defensive, defensive mentality (duh). Also there are changes in w/wo ball.
In defensive formation there are none run-arrows and players behind ball.

When leading a game I sometimes choose to change play to players behind ball. And the last 10 minutes with a lead of 1-2 goals I choose the defending tactics.

Works quite good. Beat Manchester United 2-0.
