I saw Kasper Schmeichel wasn't too impressed in that game, either...

Astana Arena's pitch is s**t, i don't know how they got license to play european competition games there. It's slippery as hell for boots but has such a grip on the ball, it's bulls**t!

What a shocker of a performance. What on Earth were those blind back passes from Dier (twice!) and Henderson? Suicidal!

Says it all when Townsend came on and did more in 5 minutes than the rest did in an hour. We need more direct players like him.

England should have got pumped about 4-0 - they were awful

Credit to Slovenia though - they did very well

I thought Studge and Hendo were pretty poor

Walcott been given a couple of chances now and not taking it

WTF is happeneing with Scotland - Strachan under pressure?

Looks like NI put up a decent fight

How has the Dutch manager not been sacked yet?!

The funny fact: Lewandowski under Nawałka coach is most deadly sniper in the World. He is better than Messi and CR7 in that regard . His goal tally to apps is really good. Never noticed that O_O.

Lewa has a bit to go before he's a true legend of international football, like Stern John

He won't be, but he has chance to beat Boniek records in Polish cards.

Under Nawałka he played 27 games, scored 24 goals and netted 6 assists. Not too shabby I would say. Co-leader in goals scored in this World Cup eliminations too (joint top with Cristiano at 7 goals each).

I guess, Liverpool are wondering how they didn;t get him when he was on free contract option and Bayern snuffed him .

If people don't remember, Milik had surgery on his ACL/PCL (still don't know which one it was lol) following a fatal fall during Denmark vs Poland qualification game.

Well, that is what he does now. O_O I will be damned if I dare say so. Normally it takes 2-3 months to even stand on that leg, not to mention training. Full recovery 5-6 months. HE is expected to be back in January already for Napoli games O_O.

    MILIK you're an ALIEN .

A recall for Jermain Defoe! Redmond and Ward-Prowse called up, meaning they and Keane/Antonio could all earn their first caps.

I can't get over Luke Shaw being selected though? I know Rose is injured but surely Baines or Cresswell would be the next option?!

Video ref in France Vs Spain game

Went well by all accounts, one offside goal ruled out, one onside goal ruled out but then given

Sky must be absolutely shitting themselves over what the fuck they are going to have the clowns in studio will talk about now

Shaw could be the Maldini of England if people just have some patience with him. He's still young.

Except Maldini could complete 90 minutes occasionally.

I still remain skeptical about the video assistance. It prioritises penalty and offside decisions yet a goal could be scored from a dubious free kick or corner or even a throw in. I admit that it was good last night but both situations ended up with the ball in the net and time for a decision to be made. What about a common situation where the officials (wrongly) stop play for offside and the attacking team are denied the chance to score? These things are just as important in my opinion but can't be incorporated which makes it inconsistent.
