    Introduction: Championship Manager 2

    Introduction: Championship Manager 2

    Overview

Championship Manager 2 is a football management computer game in the Sports Interactive's Championship Manager series. It was released in September 1995 for PC. An Amiga version was released in 1997.

    Features

CM2 introduced a far better quality of graphics compared to previous versions. The game included SVGA graphics and photorealistic background pictures. Possibly the most notable new feature was the audio commentary engine. As well as the traditional text-based match commentary, there was also optional voice commentary, provided by famous British football commentator Clive Tyldesley.

Another milestone was the inclusion of playable Scottish leagues, albeit only in the PC version. For the first time in the series there was a selection of leagues to choose from at the start of the game - only one could be run at a time, however.

So for years I accepted I couldn't play CM2 for the first time ever. I played 9798 back in 98 and 1999 but in 95 I still had an amiga playing CM93 and school/girls/drinking was more fun.

Fast forward 20 years, Cam is bored and looking in his disk collection, wow I have windows 98 (first ever pc and I own CM2) , 24 hours later of installing windows 98 and googling why it wouldn't work

Anyway, it was worth the 22 year wait...

Hail Laudo (again), best ever player in Scotland and surely any CM game world record?
