    Problem

    leagues are Italy, France, England, Spain, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Croatia , Portugal.
    have no installed tapani patch

    Likely to be France causing the issue. There are lots of bugs with that league from the 3.9.68 patch, they are solved by Tapani 2.21.1 patch

    Tapani Patch added?
    What year did you start in?
    What leagues you have loaded?
    Running as admin and compatability?

    etc etc

    Game crashing December 27

    Windows XP SP3
    April 2017 update
    .68 patch
    No tapani or other patches applied
    Running English league no background leagues

    I have edited the database and added myself to the game.

    The game gets to 27 December updates and then appears to become stuck. I cannot progress any further. I have clean installed, applied all patches again and copied the save games. I can't even holiday past this crash..

    Any resolution? Or fixes

    Yep I run as admin and compatibility enabled. I have never encountered this issue before. I have tried clean install and transferring the saves but still have the same issue during the december updates. I am getting no error messaging I literally have to return to desktop and ctrl, alt, del to close the program. I also have tried retiring to let the game cycle on but same issue.

    the link above is people having the same issue but no resolution. I don't understand because previously on the same setup I played through two seasons fine.

    I had something similar during a June update. I disabled my McAfee virus checker and it progressed fine after that. Might be worth a go.

    I don't run any anti virus it literally is a old lapop intel centrino running XP i use solely for champ manager. I used to have alot of issues getting it to run on newer hardware / Windows 7 so stuck with the old laptop.

    I am going to just start a new game and see what happens with a fresh install.

    I am annoyed though I was managing Rotherham smashing it up with my own non wib wob tactic think I was 4th in the league

    You didn't say what year you started in - if 2016 then you need Staurn patch to do that
