    SEASON 1 - JANUARY 2002 Update

THE BEGINNING - Good times... For some...
There is all the league & Cup news.
    We have transfers too.

So the new series is under way.

    Welcome to any newbies...

    NEWS:

Galway Utd's Erik Manolo Escobar was in demand.

    6 offers came in.

And he moved to New York for £300,000 just 2 weeks into the update.

Viking Forward, Liamo, was praised in the media.

Eb Fatzensen was to be on the move too.
He was playing Non-League football in the USA for NY Cosmos.
He will sign for Colorado on the 10th January for £350,000.

Stoke City's Mark Henderson was put up for loan.

In late December an offer came in from 2nd Division Spain.
He agreed to join Alaves for the rest of the season.

Older Bobzimehmedovic was looking way above the standard of Division 3 at Burton Albion.

There was some interest from Wigan and Southampton.
But he eventually signed for Wolves for £875,000 on the 30th December.

    ALL NEWS
    Spoiler!

    On to the League Tables.

    In ENGLAND:

    IN PREMIER LEAGUE

Stoke are in 15th place but 7 points above the drop zone after 21 games.
Mark Henderson is yet to make an appearance for them and is now out on loan.

    IN DIVISION 1

Wolves are in 2nd place and look odds on to finish in the top 2.
Older Bobzimehmedovic has just joined from Division 3 but could find himself in the Premier League in 6 months time.

    IN DIVISION 2

Bradford are struggling, down in 22nd place. It is tight and any decent run should keep them up.
de la Costainho will be hoping to play better himself too.

    IN DIVISION 3

Burton were doing well while Older Bobzimehmedovic was there, he leaves them in the top 3.

    TABLES

Lillestrøm finished 3rd, with Watenstad playing most games.

Rosenborg were 4th, Janis didn't get as much game time as he would have wanted.

Tromsø were 5th. Bestinho playing most of the season and can be happy with that.

Odd were in 6th place, in a very tight part of the table.
Dermo Stormo can be happy at the amount he played too and will hope to improve next season.

    TABLE
    Spoiler!

Peterazo will be hoping for more game time.

New York Cosmos are non-league. Eb Fatzensen is off soon.
He looked well above that level after his 23 appearances.

    Liam off to a flyer!
FFS on Escobar leaving Galway so early for lame ass NY... I guess it's the "concrete jungle were dreams are made" as opposed to Galway where concrete is made... mostly of people's dreams.

Looking at some of the teams picked, I should have been a bit strategic when choosing.

Great stuff wato, glad it's up and running again!

    Nice one wato.

Not too happy with the move for my man, I am sure I can help Stoke to improve on their 15th place. Wouldn't mind a loan so much but playing in the 2nd tier is a step down, especially for a team in the relegation spots! Let's hope I can make a difference and keep them up, I certainly have work to do

Cheers Wato, good to get this back.

Some players have started on fire, might be too early to predict but i reckon some records might fall.

    More games please Sparta.

Comparing Dermo Stormo to myself, I really don't seem to be improving like he is!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk, because I can't get on a fucking computer because obviously I'm not at home or at work, so what? Wanna fight about it?

Bloody hell Liam's already got 2 trophies under his belt!

Pleased to have already made the step up though, hopefully we'll beat the budgie scum to the top spot. Maybe I'll get a game for Wolves at some point too!

Great start Wato, maintaining your usual excellent standard

Also, didn't Rosenborg actually go through on away goals, rather than out? They won 3-0 at home and lost 4-1 away.

Yes. Rosenborg will have gone through.
But there was no round three in there so assumed they went out cos I didn't look at the screenshot properly until today.

Happy with my start but Auxerre performance is worrying. Let's hope we'll have a better 2nd half of the season. Also, when a player is called up by a country's -21, does it happen that he ends up playing for another country when he has a second nationality ?
