Yeah, I noticed. Still struggling to get the hang on FM15, think I'll pass on this one. Besides, "create your manager"? "Create a club"? Why on earth would anyone want that, why are SI focusing on such features?! And the tactic overview screen looked bloody awful.
    Spoiler!

On a side note, games like FIFA, FM and most sports games really, I think it's a ripoff that they are sold for full price each year. Every new release is only a slight mod of the previous one, they could just as well stick with the current version and release any new features/improvements as optional patches with a lower price tag.

I have only tried the beta (due to my laptop being poop ). They improve the game based on feedback each year, but... There is one thing which fucks me up every time. WTF is that manager creation bullshit from The Sims?! Seriously, is it a simulation game or wannabe house game .

I did like the rest of it though, including, copying of stats from previous managerial career. Plus those new wib/wob player instructions give more opportunities. They balanced game out. Did I mention default skin being the best I have seen yet:? It's so good I won't be switching to anything else in a while (when i get the game). It's crystal clear, intuitive and not intrusive.

But yes, to enjoy FM you do need to invest time into it and stop thinking in CM terms. Had to stress that one out .

And yes, I am not up for another debate/war which one is better.

Dunno, but my guess is no.

Those are mostly based on ProZone analytics from real-life and put into game thus freaks are really hard to find nowadays (the likes of Skalidis, Papadopoulos and others).

    Hi everyone,

Was seriously thinking to get into FM. Don't know what I would be in for exactly so.

What is it like in a few sentences? main differences with CM? which FM version is best to start with? how good is the last opus FM16? is there a "classic" version to start with, such as cm01/02 for the CM series? any tips, advices for a complete beginner? and also, what's the best community/forum for FM gamers around? with tips on tactics, etc..

    cheers
    Rui

Its good if you are into the more complex areas of managing, dealing with the media etc and have lots of time on your hands, a season can take a week of gaming where as CM0102 is quick, not so complex and quick.

Id say this was the best forum

Will need to make little shuffle to the team, sold Mata to Real for 47mln Euros. Goodbye . Season rolls now .

If someone says this game is slow... I will do season tonight .

yeah. Testing stuff. Didn't like it. As downloaded tactic. Too much shit going on .

    Went for 442.

Won pretty much all friendlies, made sell of Mata like I said earlier, bought de Vrij, Bellarabi and Goretzka as Pogba didn't want to come .

Won Community Shield 4-1 vs Leicester and now got beat by Arsenal at OT 2-3 after thriller and controversial penalty decision.

Playing FM2016 was the reason i came back to CM01/02. This was due to a myriad of reasons. However for me it has silly things added that offer no added enjoyment.

Create a manager is THE WORST implemented idea i have seen and is so poor i would rather disable it. The tactics screen is disgusting. The media is almost everyday and pretty annoying. It is by far the lowest amount of hours played out of any CM/FM manager game.

You do realise you can make Ass man handle all media stuff right? Create a manager as it is now is stupid, was better last year when you just selected managerial style (should have left it that way, as I don't give a damn how I look xD).

As for tactics, they made it simple. I like that. No gripe here.

After some crappy games in the season, final table:

What can I say? Won Community Shield on the way to EL final and FA Cup Final. Difference makers? Ibrahimovic, Mkhritanyan, de Vrij, Bellarabi. What a force. O_O

Crosses are broken in this game. Virtually all goals come from crosses.

Is there a place to download crests for the Premier League ?

Also what version are you running? yours looks different to mine - ver16.2.0

My first season in charge was also a close one - Tottenham and City drew their second last game vs eachother and allowed me to sneak into first

Hmm, easy. He was scoring important goals for me season before. Didn't want him to rot as usually he would be on sell straight away list, but wanted to keep the core of the team in 1st season in tact. Learning from previous FMs too many changes to the squad, destroy the cohesion and make players feel not at ease.

ONE player I didn't want to sell was Depay. He forced the move. Cheeky bastard...

Though with how Ousmane is performing... I don't miss him. It's funny to actually SEE how much of difference there is in play style between players. Ousmane playing same position as Mkhritaryan plays completely different.

    What tactics are you using?

I foolishly launched into a create your own club in non-league. My finances are rubbish, pitch is rubbish, etc. etc.

I just cannot get promoted. I created a few of my own and tried 3 different tactics depending on the opposition. No luck.
I sign better players every season but I'm too inconsistent.

I'm playing FM Touch btw as it is at least quicker and less clunky.

Tried various variants of tactics, but most stable I found myself is with 442 or 433 Flat (non wingers one).

That's the last season I did with BVB

And here is the star of that very season:

    BEAST.
