After just 20 players attended training for the trip to AFC Wimbledon, The Gaffer secretly could not wait until the season had finished which would allow players to change their positions in the squad. His reasoning comes as this game represents a big chance for the fringe players to start and improve their form but he had hoped for more than 20 players to attend training, particularly as 2 (Erkifino and trunky) could not feature anyway!

Still, he could at least rotate with 8 players coming into the team. As usual, the trio of batman, Papalzru and Jesus continue but coming into the side were Goofy, Baz, Dermotron, BobMem, felixsjo, Redknapp69 and Janis89. There was also a place on the bench for pyromyst but not for Fodster who was surprisingly missing for a second game in a row when he could have taken up a place on the bench as cover for Janis89.

"Only" 17 games left of the season plus however many games left in the FA Cup on top of that!

The Vipers were punished by the home side after a somewhat slow start to the game. Still, they never threw in the towel and kept plugging away with Ross Worner equal to anything they managed to keep on target. Despite there being just under 30 minutes left on the clock, The Gaffer saw that felixsjo and Janis89 had worn themselves out and sent on ebfatz and AJ in their place. There was also concern over Dermotron with a possible niggle so merkezekrem was put on as well. That gamble paid off as the Vipers soon pulled it back with an excellent header from AJ after being set up by gazzas1uk. They weren't able to dig out another goal but that didn't matter as Southend lost 2:0 at home to Exeter which means the Vipers are now 10 points clear at the top!

A rare 6 from me, must be getting complacent with no competition.

Taking the positives it's another point in the bag and another point closer to promotion.

A point was the least we deserved but we (largely myself) were not clinical enough in front of goal

Great "D" and GK save at the end to rescue a point

Othre results went our way and away from home its decent enough for us

    Onto the next!

You should have put # instead of * Dermo

I demand a 7 with the interception and pass that led to the goal!

Shot towards the goal and the keeper saved yet no shots

Another point to the tally even though the shots went everywhere
