Celtic outclassed CS Herediano and thrashed them 6 - 1 in their CM 01/02 World Soccer Manager Shield Round 2 fixture.
Milner scored a brace and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.
Firmino and Källström were also amongst the goalscorers.

Pyongyang successfully dispatched Moghreb 3-1. Two early goals for Malcom and then the clincher for Dembele in the second half.

Shakhtar will provide a very stern test in the next round.

Played my reserves. Knocked out 5-4 on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

Time to focus on the league

Cotonsport reserves welcomed Crusaders to the Roumde Adjia Stadium.
The 2nd string side proved too much for the visiting 2nd Division team.
Cotonsport ran out easy 2-0 victors, Henry Onyekuru bagging his first (of what I'm sure will be many) for the club.

Why did my keeper ignore the ball when your guy struck his freekicks?!!

Well done mate, & good luck against Shakhtar.

Cotonsport have been comprehensively knocked out of the world soccer managers shield.
I had toyed with the idea of playing a stronger side but the reserves had got the team this far so they deserved to continue as far as they could.
Having said that Freddie Woodman in goal will probably be the only player to retain his place in the next cup fixture, following his heroic solo efforts to deny Bate scoring any more.
Bate still easily won 4-0 (although the home side did win a fairly dubious early penalty).
Cotonsport wish Bate all the best for the rest of the competition.

The Warsaw beat league rivals Malmo.

I wasn't sure what team would show up so I played my strongest. Fixture congestion is a gamble I'm willing to take in attempt of a clean sweep...

Pyongyang managed to overcome Shakhtar in a tight game.

Balde put Pyongyang ahead before Taison quickly equalized for Shakhtar. Jemerson sealed it for the home side in the second half however.

Celtic next up will be a much tougher nut to crack.

You're doing ok with a 50k stadium and the star names you have!

A 50k stadium means nothing when your record crowd is 7000.

Celtic beat Ludogorets Razgrad 4 - 2 in a thrilling CM 01/02 World Soccer Manager Shield Quarter Final encounter.
Rooney was impressive and scored a hat-trick, later being voted Man of the Match for his performance.
Kolarov was also on the scoresheet for his side.

That's the last game in this comp then unless we can win on penno's v Erk's boys!
