24 players showing up for the Vipers' next game is exactly what The Gaffer wants to see when he is looking to rotate the squad as the visit of Walsall comes just 48 hours after a solid 2:0 win over Rochdale. It's genuinely the first time that The Gaffer has options across the pitch to choose from and it's allowed him to make 8 changes which is a big opportunity now for those coming into the side to put together a run of games in their natural spots.

Naturally, there are no fitness concerns over Kowalinho who keeps his place after a clean sheet too whilst ZanSnake's early withdrawal means he's fully fit to start the game as well, which keeps both Erkifino and hornbloweroafc on the bench whilst samsami regrettably remains in the stands. trunky also remains in the side but is moved over to left-back from centre-back having had to fill in for Dermotron last time out. Both he and Baz are actually only 90% fit but with Baz registering a 6, trunky gets the nod to start his 17th game of the season.

The 8 coming in are Dermotron, PedroM, ebfatz, gazzas1uk, colml, Felix, pyromyst and AJ. GFRay86 and drkshadow1 are added to the bench and Baz, evesham and Janis89 are fittest of the unfittest to sit on the bench. Joining samsami on the sidelines are BobMem, Redknapp69, Bevchenko and London35.

It'll certainly be interesting to see how the Vipers will cope without Redknapp69 pulling the strings in midfield, he's scored 20 goals and created 14 goals in just 25 starts which has restricted colml to a bit part role so far this season, starting only 4 times.

The season is officially in its second half after facing Rochdale but the Vipers have yet to play Walsall this season who are only 6th in the table though they are 8 points behind. Meanwhile, Sheffield United are hosting Millwall who will hopefully do us a favour!

The game really didn't start well for gazzas1uk as he earned himself a yellow card after just a minute had gone by! The defensive midfielder was punished after holding Jackson and 9 minutes later, he was forced off the pitch. Thankfully not by a red card but with injury after hurting his knee. Thankfully we had evesham on the bench as an option and he came straight on.

While gazzas1uk took the early headlines, AJ grabbed the next one after linking up superbly with colml. colml did well to hold off Cuvelier before being shadowed by Laird as he lifted the ball into the box where AJ headed into the net.

However, Walsall responded immediately as O'Connor took a quick free-kick which saw Jackson get up above Kowalinho to equalise.

The woodwork was then involved as Flanagan rattled it with a hopeful looking shot before Dermotron was next to be booked after pulling Jackson.

The teams emerged after half-time with drkshadow1 joining the action after Felix's fitness had dropped to 80% after just 45 minutes of action.

After Jackson saw a shot blasted high and wide, there was another change as Baz came in for trunky in the 48th minute. There would be no more changes left for the Vipers!

As for Walsall, they made a double change of their own in the 56th minute when Kouhyar and Oztumer replaced Moussa and Flanagan.

AJ was found by ZanSnake in the area and tried his luck but Etheridge pushed it away. Shortly afterwards, Jackson, who the Vipers defence were struggling with, forced a great fingertip save from Kowalinho after being too quick for Dermotron.

Walsall's last change came in the 68th minute as Laird was replaced by Osbourne.

In all honesty, this was a game of few chances. But the Vipers nearly had the last say when Cuvelier tackled pyromyst which saw colml pick up the ball and smashed it at goal. It beat the goalkeeper but hit the post and went behind!

As for Sheffield United, they scored a late goal in a 3:2 thriller against Millwall and pull 8 points clear of the Vipers.

Too many changes spoiled the rhythm a wee bit there...but a draw is better than a loss!

Well played the #LBU...7's all round and back to full fitness.

Life is a lot harder for a striker without Redders. Still, two shots on target and a goal is still pretty efficient!

Other than that, get fit you lazy bums!
