Yeah ok, no need to make it any easier. Let's go for the challenging mode
Also @Kingsley raised the good point of not forcing people to take a certain club against their will.

Anyway, am looking forward for the new Alphabet game to start.

I left Valencia in 9th place after 13 games to take over a Real Madrid team in 10th place where their own season was just 11 games old. They were in fact in Germany where the World Championship tournament was taking place. My first game was against Leverkusen in the Semi Final where I registered a winning start but faced Barcelona in the final and lost 3:1.

Back on home soil, I made a good start to life domestically with 5 straight wins in La Liga before earning a point in a hard fought 1:1 draw at Barcelona. The momentum was kept going with another run of 8 wins before I finally lost my first league game in a 3:2 defeat at Oviedo. At this point, we'd fought our way to the top of the league but Barcelona had two games in hand on us. In fact, they hadn't yet lost a single league game and had only conceded 12 goals!

All we could do was concentrate on our own performances and hope that Barcelona slipped up somewhere along the way. After beating us, Oviedo did pull off another surprise in beating Barcelona too which helped our case at the top of the table. We embarked on a six game unbeaten run before losing at Mallorca but Barcelona lost at Sevilla too, leaving us a healthy 6 points clear at the top with only 4 games left, thanks to Barcelona actually drawing 11 games!

There was a chance for me to win a potential treble too - Having started off with a 3:2 aggregate win over Barcelona early on in the Spanish Cup. We took on Sevilla in the Semi Final but lost 4:1. Meanwhile, in the UEFA Cup we went all the way to the UEFA Cup Final where Oviedo, despite having a man sent off after 5 minutes, took us all the way to penalties in a 2:2 draw. They won 4:3.

Back to the league action, the title was won without playing a game! We'd both won our next match but after beating Arandina 3:1, Barcelona played the following day but drew a 12th game of the season which meant the title was ours with two games left! Perhaps we took our foot off the gas then as we lost to Sporting Gijon but signed off with a win over Betis.

My favourite player was this guy (possibly David Silva regen?) - He'd failed to score in 20 starts before I arrived but was an absolute revelation in a 4-1-3-2 formation. Surprisingly, there aren't that many vacant jobs around at the moment but I have fired off an application to 9 teams:

    Kashima Antlers (1st after 11 games in J-League 1).
Inter (Finished 14th in Serie A).
Sampdoria (Finished 2nd in Serie A).
Nantes (Finished 3rd in Ligue 1).
Sheff Wed (Finished 6th in EPL).
XV de Novembro (6th in ND3 after 15 games, would be a long term one).
CRB (1st after 15 games in Brazil).
Central (2nd after 19 games in Argentina).
San Lorenzo (9th after 19 games in Argentina).

After 6 long years in Spain, I'd finally won the title! I must admit that it comes with regret though having jumped ship at Valencia. As you can see from the league table, they didn't even finish in the top half! They ended up 16th, just 2 points clear of the relegation spots.

Meanwhile, my reputation has soared to 7th highest in the world. Now where will this journey take me next?

    Hallelujah !

I admire your tenacity and it proves that you were right to jump ship from Valencia.

A word ranking of 7th should land you any of these jobs. The Italian ones look tempting, but the Argentine ones should get a title earlier (there are champions every 6 months !)

Well done, it is a shame not to get the V though!

    Kashima Antlers (1st after 11 games in J-League 1).

That would be tempting to me!

Actually J-League is always a good one. You just have to win one of the 2 seasons to make the grand final. Even the bottom side has a chance halfway through the season.

Finally caught up again, I've missed quite a bit

Kingsley - Awesome stuff on completing the challenge and finally settling on a "T" job Now get yaself back to ya Carpi story or will you be doing it all again on the new update?

AJ - Shame your save buggered up, hopefully you'll have better luck on the next one - don't forget to keep backups!

Mark - Hard luck with Valencia, it was obviously them and not you as you made short work of it with Real Madrid, shame about the UEFA Cup and Copa del Rey though.

sunmancisco - A good move from Cardiff to Man Utd (Not sure I'd make it ), and a brave move to Liverpool after that, but a justified one in the end! Easy stuff with Juventus and looking the same with Sporting so far.

Rapture - Moving from Carpi to Celtic was a no brainer (another one I wouldn't make though ), and a quick win before moving on to Bordeaux where it was more of the same. Harsh of the Mainz board to want the title so soon but you delivered it for them

I am now going on holiday for a week, so I thought I would try and get Sporting ticked off.
I leave them in 1st place, with the league all but secured. We have just surrendered our 27 game unbeaten run in the league losing 4-1 to an average Benfica side. We need 1 point from our last 6 games for the title.
There is still a 2nd leg in the last 16 of the champions league to look forward to,where we host Barcelona, after a disappointing 2-1 loss in the camp Nou.
It's fair to say my goalkeeper is disappointing me at this stage of the season but it's too late to do anything about it.

It didn't take too long for me to get some offers - I had a choice between Antlers, Central and Inter on the same day!

Money wise, Inter was the obvious choice. But they had finished low in the league and it'd be a similar situation to that I had at Valencia in trying to restore them to former glories. Central was an interesting one as they'd just finished 2nd. Antlers were 1st in J-League 1 and if I could keep them there, I could have another letter ticked off in 5 months. It was between Antlers and Inter and I settled on the latter - It'd be much easier to get 'A' clubs later on down the line than 'I' so it seemed like a logical choice.

After the usual backroom staff changes after my arrival, I went through the squad and realised there wasn't much quality at Inter which was reminiscent of my time at Man City and Valencia! The wheeling and dealing soon kicked in with 18 players on their way out by the time my first game came around, sold for £24M in total. In came 12 players for £12.25M, including 5 freebies. I certainly wasn't splashing out with a £263M transfer kitty! In fairness, these were players that I had scouted whilst at Real Madrid so hopefully they can make the same impact.

Despite finishing 14th last season, Inter had made it to the Italian Cup Final, losing 7:2 on aggregate to Juventus who were ruling the Italian game as usual. This looked to have given them passage into the UEFA Cup and I had the pleasure of facing Juventus in my first game for the Super Cup. I lined up with 7 transfer listed players which suggests my work was not done at Inter just yet. The result was a 9 goal thriller which we were on the unfortunate side of! Looking at the Juventus squad, I definitely had my work cut out as every starter had masses of 20's in their attributes!

The Serie A season started with a bang in a 3:2 win over Parma, despite a 33rd minute red card for my goalkeeper! A win against Bari followed before drawing 2:2 to Perugia after twice surrendering the lead. Two more wins followed against Sampdoria and Chievo before we finally lost our first game against Entella, 1:2 despite playing 10 men for 58 minutes! We got back to winning ways by beating Atalanta but then lost 3:2 to Torino. With Juventus seemingly unbeatable, that was a blow for our title ambitions.

Meanwhile, our cup competitions had kicked off. The UEFA Cup draw sent us to Romania where Pandurii were beaten 6:2 on aggregate then we squeezed past Zaragoza 4:3. Sporting were next and we did well to come from 2:0 down in the first leg to draw the game and then win 2:0 at home.

In the Copa Italia, we started off against CMSG Ltd's old favourites Pro Vercelli, winning 6:3 over two legs. Sassuolo were then dispatched 5:2 despite losing the second leg 1:0.

Back to the league action, we got things back on track with wins over Napoli and Pisa before drawing 3:3 to Palermo. But Roma handed us a 3:1 beating just when we were catching up to Juventus who suddenly lost two games in a row. Beating Fiorentina 2:0 was a big result for us and Sassuolo were then hammered 6:1 whilst Napoli moved to the top of the table. We then headed into the Winter break in 2nd place but 4 points behind Napoli.

The January transfer window opened with a bang as 9 players arrived to boost the squad for a combined £13.4M with 4 heading out for £8.6M. 4 of those players were handed a debut as we returned after the break with a thumping 6:1 win over Perugia, going through to the Semi Final of the Copa Italia 9:3 on aggregate!

The action in the league got underway with a big one at home to Juventus. Despite having more shots overall and on target, we lost 2:0 with their goalkeeper named as man of the match, a result that saw us drop to 4th! Cesena were next and now 2nd but we lost another key game 3:1 with a player getting sent off. These two defeats left us 10 points behind Napoli at the top. Thankfully, we did win our next 4 games in a row to move back into 2nd place and just 2 points behind the leaders.

After a 0:0 draw in the first leg of the Copa Italia at Atalanta, we stormed into a 5 goal lead in just 33 minutes in the return leg at the San Siro. Atalanta struck twice but we were never going to lose it and the result set us up against Napoli in the final.

The opportunity to overtake Napoli in the league in our next match was lost as we lost 2:0 at Sampdoria who then beat Napoli themselves the following week! A 5:0 win against Chievo kept us in the title race, being 3 points behind Napoli on level points with Juventus. Further wins against Entella and Cesena then left us just a single point behind!

Back to action in the UEFA Cup, we took on Eskisehirspor in the 4th Round with a depleted squad after my transfer changes in the January window. Despite that, we came out with a 6:1 aggregate win to face Alanyaspor in the Quarter Final. The first leg at home was a 3:0 win which was fortunate given that we then lost the second leg 2:0! Drawing FC Bayern in the next round was daunting, the first leg at home resulting in a 1:1 draw. It took us to Germany with a big task on our hands but we did take a first half lead that gave us hope. However, Bayern struck twice in three minutes to leave us trailing but a 79th minute equaliser proved to be enough as we went through to the UEFA Cup Final on away goals!

A 7th league defeat at the hands of Atalanta was frustrating as it again meant that we could have gone 1st if we'd won. Instead, we dropped to 3rd and 2 points behind Napoli. We then lost a 2 goal lead to draw 2:2 against Torino while Sampdoria moved to the top. A 2:1 win against Pisa gave us another three points but we again lost a lead at Palermo to lose 3:1! Playing Napoli next was a key game in our title chances but losing 2:1 meant that the race was over for us with 5 games left.

Playing Napoli in the Italian Cup Final was a big one. Had I improved the squad enough to overturn them? Unfortunately, we lost the first leg 5:2 which left us a lot of work to do in the second leg at home. We got a goal in the first half but still needed two more goals. Unbelievably, we scored three!

The last five games of the season saw us draw against Roma (3-3) and Fiorentina (1-1) then beat Sassuolo 4-0 before yet another draw against AlbinoLeffe (2-2). The last game of the season was in Turin as we picked up another point in a 0-0 bore draw. All these recent draws and losing leads meant that we had dropped from 2nd to 7th which was a disappointing end to the domestic season.

We'd won the Italian Cup though and now we had the chance to land the UEFA Cup too. Montpellier were to be our final opponents in Istanbul and we were without our top scorer who'd bagged an impressive 43 goals in 47 games.

Bizzotto's strike partner was asked to step up and he got us the opener after 27th minute whilst hearts were in mouths for a second as Montpellier had a goal disallowed. We saw the game out in the second half and we soon declared champions of the UEFA Cup!

Got to be happy with that season mate, two trophies in the cabinet and a good league challenge up until the final few games.

A bit more Hendo wheeling and dealing and hopefully that Serie A title will be yours next season mate, big call not to take that Antlers job though and get a letter out the way quickly.

You were right in it upto the run in. The cup victories show that you can do it, so a couple of additional players and next season, Italy will be yours.

It took Sporting one more game

The lad from Brentford was a hit in his first season

The next game, after securing the title, was the second leg against Barca. Jose Antonio Garcia Junyent bagged both the goals in a 2-0 victory. We then drew Wolfsburg in the champions league semi final but before the game I received 2 job offers.

Eintract Frankfurt sit in 5th place in division 1 and are offering £28 million for transfers.
Fiorentina are 14th in Serie A precariously close to relegation. They are offering £63 million and have some very good players. It's safe to say I'm torn... also the Roma job looks like it will be available in just a few weeks!

Fiorentina would be my pick, good work with Sporting, Junyent is awesome!

He was one of the best players I've had on this save, well worth the 11million I paid.

Ignoring the sound advice, I opted for Frankfurt... It was a league I hadn't managed in yet and after looking at a few of the key players stats, I felt I could improve this team drastically with just a few choice signings.
The first thing I did, before accepting was to cancel all the free signings that were due to join sporting at the end of the season and sign them all for Frankfurt, except for one young decent striker that decided to stay at Man Utd. The previous manager had already agreed a deal for a striker so I decided to give him a chance and use the other forwards already at the club.

There were 4 games left in the season. The players I had inherited performed a lot better when played in their proper positions! We won 3 out of the 4, losing to Stuttgart in a 5-3 thriller.
Sporting changed their tactics under their new manager, dropping the 3rd striker in favour of a defending midfielder. Despite this they managed to draw their way to the champions league final, the away goal coming from a striker I had brought from Brighton for around £700k. They lost out in the final to Stuttgart (I can see a bogey team in the making for the forth coming season).

In other news Cardiff won the eufa cup and Liverpool won their 3rd premiership title in a row (I've created a bit of a monster there)
