That is the amazing thing in this story, at least from my perspective. He isn't. But look, just like good wine he keeps improving:

And László, our backup goalkeeper (signed on a free transfer!) may be even better!
László's PA is 185 whereas Steele's PA is just 134.
He plays in all of our Cup matches.

László is perfectly happy with the situation. In fact, he has just signed a new contract.

These are their attributes as well as those of our other goalkeepers:

Rovers to FA Cup Quarter Final

The FA Cup 5th Round Replay on Wednesday 26th February ended in another narrow victory, with the only goal of the match scored after just three minutes by Pione Sisto.

Akpoguma is currently our only unavailable defender, but of course we also had to start without Duelund and without Vera, our young but very talented backup striker. So we had Jeremain Lens (33) start out as striker with Mahrez and Fekir as wingers. However, it wasn't a huge success.

It started quite well when Lens looked to nutmeg Ashley Smith-Brown who made a good sliding challenge on Lens. However, Smith-Brown could not clear the ball so Sisto took control of it and his low shot skidded on the wet surface and the ball went in!

Perhaps that quick opener made our lads think too lightly of the match and of our opponents. Be that as it may, we created only a few more scoring chances. Clasie almost found the net when he struck the ball with fury, but Baumann pushed it away. Lens also tried a low drive but Baumann did well to get his fingertips to the ball and although Lens was first to the rebound, Bauman saved well low down and so there were no more goals to be seen.

Now that is nothing new, of course. It must be said that our fans have hardly been treated to a plethora of goals lately!
    Spoiler!

Still, we won the game so we should not complain. And our wingers played decently. In addition, Sisto and Clasie played well together as central midfielders; Clasie was even named Man-of-the-Match.
    Spoiler!

We will be facing Man Utd at Old Trafford in the Quarter Final so it looks like a very tough draw for us, but at least we have reached the FA Cup Quarter Final and that is not to be sniffed at! Especially not since we have just qualified for the EFL Cup Final as well. Rovers are well on their way to becoming a force to be reckoned with!

Now before we play Man Utd in the FA Cup on 7th March we will first have to play Chelsea at Ewood Park on 29th February.

March will actually be a decent month, fixture-wise, with plenty of rest for our lads, but first they will have to prove what they are made of in these two upcoming clashes against Chelsea and Man Utd! If we would lose both games, things suddenly won't look so bright anymore.

But who will score our goals?
    Spoiler!

As for goalkeepers. You don't change a winning formula midseason.

Solid win, but you do need to find a goal scorer from somewhere. The defence can't rescue you every game. Apoinnt from Chelsea would not be a disaster and an FA Cup semi-fianl would be a bonus, so in some sense, the pressure is off for the next 2.

I guess what I meant was, who should be our goalkeeper next season? I won't change it for these last ten games or so.
László will play in the FA Cup and in the EFL Cup Final.
Steele will play in our League matches.

But when it comes to next season, do we keep Steele as our first goalkeeper, because he has been with the club from the very beginning and his average rating is increasing every year so far?

Or do we switch to László who looks like he will even be better (but who can't jump)?

I wouldn't change my vote. Why change a winning formula ?

(although you did miss out the option of dump them both and bring in someone even better )
