Makes me wonder why I never signed Poch on the ODB back in the day...

Pep was probably the best Freebie in the game EVER. Even better than Taribo!

Yeah he was on a free, I'd probably go with West over Guardiola as best freebie but both were class.

Sign them both up. That's what I say. I have a lot more memories with West than Guardiola on the ODB.

West in the defence, Pep Guardiola in the middle and Martins + Paiva up front. There's a decent freebie quartet for you! Only problem with West is that he gets a lot of red cards.

Kiko too. Even if he doesn't play brilliant you can get 7m for him after a season

I was going to say Kiko, when I very first got the game me and my mates used to sign Kiko, Guardiola and West and cash in on them straight away, could earn quite a few million doing that

Guardiola was too injury prone for my liking for used sell him and buy Hakan Mild

Hakan Mild - Injury Proneness: 20

Wasn't Victor Huge Aristizabal a decent enough freebie too? I used to cash in on him immediately.

Jairo Castillo and Alonso Solis were the other freebies to add to the other 3

Robert Tomaschek was another top freebie, on .68 at least. Good enough to play CM for any side, you could quite often get him for a second tier club without a release clause.

I'd also say an under-rated freebie was Billy McKinlay - did a great job for a bottom-half PL or Division One team

In the lower leagues, Baldur Bett and Byron Bubb are quality freebies.

Tallan Martin grows into a beast. Also his Aussie mate Matthew Christensen was a good player for a small club on the .68 version. And even better on the .60 version as he was duplicated Though I think he and his twin were at Coventry on the original game
