A ridiculous player. Surely has to play up front rather than at right back?

First bit of my holiday is done and I've had time to play some again, and I finished my first full season at Hobro. It went better than expected, and worse/slightly better than I had hoped.

Getting promoted without winning means that next season will be harder, and I don't think the club has the resources or reputation to attract good enough players to win the 1st division. At least I have some players that are good enough and it's a low enough level for plenty of freebies to be available, I just need to find the right ones.

No idea. I thought about re-training him, started it and he got the arse. Seems to play well at right back though. A few assists so far and an 8.5 rating for the season. He does want to move to a new club though, luckily he signed a 15m clause contract so at the moment he's going no where. Might try him up front...or indeed on the wing later.

League Cup won with Man City. Usually this lovely game makes sure that your best players are injured for a big game but not this time*...oh no!

    *Won on penalties.

Still in the F.A.Cup, the manager's favourite of all the cup competitions and top of the league by 12 points with 6 games to go...going for the full house!

It now appears that if a club gets relegated then I pick up the pieces...

    Say hello to Newcastle United!

39 million quid to spend...let's see if City will let that star player go!

I promoted Leganés to the Segunda by finishing top of Segunda B Group 2 and an impressive unbeaten 1st in Promotion Group C. Of course this isn't a title for the challenge, so work begins now on getting this team to the point where it can win something which is significant.

After failing in another penalty shootout with Kayserispor last season after setting the target of ending my penalty hoo-doo, I also finally won one in the Round of 32 in the Copa del Rey, but La Liga side Sevilla beat us 1-0 on aggregate in the last 16.

    Previous clubs:
    Ards: 3rd in Premiership
    Ballyclare: 1st in Championship, promoted
Cliftonville: 2nd in Championship, lost playoff & not promoted
Derry City: 3rd in Premier Division, FAI Cup runner-up
Esbjerg: 1st in 1st Division, promoted
    Falkirk: 10th in Premiership
    Gamba: 9th n J2 League
    Huddersfield: 6th in Premier League
Independiente: 7th in Primera Division opening stage/9th in closing stage
    Jämshög: 13th in Superettan
Kayserispor: 16th in Super Lig, relegated

No, I meant in the club history. Does it say Winners in there? This is the club I've just taken over's history page...

Edit: You have won the North version of Liga 3. There's a South version as well. Is there no play off?

Guttingly finished 2nd in the Segunda, so we are promoted but without winning the title. Obviously I would have preferred the outcome to be staying in this division and trying again to win it, or to have taken the Leicester job that I turned down just two days before the title decider we lost to Torrelavega.

I assume La Liga will be out of the question next year against a rampant Real Madrid, so we will need to substantially improve our Copa del Rey efforts. Time to get improving the squad... (Alternatively, if someone like Liverpool would like to offer me an escape route into a club that will be easier to win with, that'd be great too!)

    Good thinking my man.
It is indeed there so I'll take that and start looking for a P.

In terms of playoffs - there aren't any. Four go down from Bundesliga 2 and two each go up from North and South.

    Negotiated to £75m and 25%.

Mark - I'm not fussed whether he stays or goes. Hopefully I won't be here for long.

We finished 14th in La Liga. We made superb use of our £7.5m in the summer and enjoyed an outstanding first half of the season, but the second half was nowhere near as good and hopes of pushing on to finish comfortably in the top half collapsed. We were never in danger of relegation, but need a rethink to get close to competing for European qualification. For the first time ever my 4-4-2 is under pressure, with Spanish teams packing central midfield and often overwhelming us. We need a serious upgrade in goalscoring if we are to overcome the control advantage of our opponents.

Surprise league champions Espanyol were the ones to eliminate us from the Copa del Rey. We went out by just one goal on aggregate so I hope we just need some draw luck to make a deep run in that competition. Let's see.

Oh, and Liverpool, the offer is still there. I've turned down Chelsea twice this season, I'd be right up your street. Fancy saying goodbye to Fabien Lemoine and hello to yours truly?

I was right and I wasn't waylaid in Marseille for too long and I have found my next club.
And I must admit it will be a first for me in CM 01/02 as I am off to South Korea. Never managed there.

Will start 7th out of 10. No relegation. Just three games of this season remaining and then a rebuild I feel.

An absolutely heartbreaking season as, having beaten several lower-league and bottom-half-of-La Liga sides on our way, we guttingly lost the Copa del Rey Final 4-3 to 3rd-placed Malaga. A whole season's work guttingly down the drain. I have to feel that if injured star striker Neri Sanchez, who I've been reunited with having managed him at Independiente in his native Argentina, was available then we would have won the game - not that I can really complain about his backup Noguero who grabbed a hat-trick in the Bernabeu showpiece.

Earlier I had lost 2 and drawn 1 of our first two games, forcing me into a tactical rethink - as I mentioned, teams were using a narrow formation packing the midfield against us and it was absolutely killing us. I've switched to three central midfielders myself and had a much better season as a result: as well as the Cup run, we also finished 7th in La Liga and will play in Europe next season.

Surely I have to win something sooner or later? Another round of squad strengthening should put us somewhere close to Malaga and Espanyol's level even if we can't quite compete with Real Madrid, who were back to their best this season.

Elimination by Atletico Madrid in the Quarter-Final of the Copa del Rey left us with only one avenue for silverware in 2038/39, and thankfully we were able to deliver, following up a hard-fought away goals victory over Osasuna by edging the Final 1-0 against Le Havre, finally completing L!

Lionel Messi has moved from Manchester United to take over at Spanish champions Espanyol, and I'm the new man in the Old Trafford hotseat, with a ludicrous £657m warchest at my disposal. Let's get going...
