Draw just been made for the Worlds which starts this Saturday. Tough one for Ronnie as he plays Ebdon who recently won a tournament in China and won his last qualifying round match 10-0! Also can wind Ronnie up with his slow play, which he did when they last met in the World's.

Couple of quality draws there, Bingham vs Hendry, Dott vs Perry, O'Sullivan vs Ebdon, Robertson vs Doherty, Ding vs Day, and Stevens vs Fu could all go either way and Selby has a tricky one against Hawkins, but you'd expect Higgins to beat Wenbo, and the other seeds should have more than enough to go through.

Selby also pulled out of a recent tournament due to a neck injury, be interesting to see how he plays and if it's still causing him trouble.

Hendry hits a 147 on day one! Guwon, let's have another!

Awesome stuff, didn't see it as I was out but heard about it on twitter. 8-1 up as well so looks good for the 2nd round.

Hendry 5-3 up on the cheat and looking awesome. Go on Hendry!

Stephen Hendry has announced his retirement after losing 13-2 to Stephen Maguire.

Greatest player ever!

Totally agree, and to win 7 world titles is just amazing. I wonder if he'll ever make a comeback, afterall Steve Davis is still going!

so happy for ronnie o'sullivan to win it. just awesome.

remember years and years ago when i started watching a bit of snooker and he just won his 1st or 2nd (not sure) world championship.

love the guy. good to see he defeated his demons, at least for the moment.

Ronnie is gold!

Taking a sabbatical for a few months in protest at the new 50 week snooker season masterminded by Barry Hearn.
Wonder if he'll be back.
He's not bigger than just quitting himself.

Congrats to Mark Selby on winning his first World title, to recover from 8-3 and 10-5 against Ronnie takes some serious skill and mental strength.

Thought I'd move the snooker talk out the betting thread on it and into here :D

After Ronnie went out yesterday Judd Trump survived a scare to advance to the next round 10-9 after being 6-3 down overnight, him and Robertson joint favourites for the tournament now.

25-04-19, 07:15 PM
Excellent session to kick off the 2nd round this afternoon between Robertson and Murphy. A clichť but could easily be the final like Trump v Ding to come.

Robertson leads 5-3

02-12-19, 05:47 PM
Massive shock in the UK Championships as World Champion and Number 1 Judd Trump loses to Nigel Bond 6-3.

02-12-19, 10:15 PM
Is that Nigel Bond from the 90's or whatever?!

02-12-19, 10:19 PM
Certainly is mate, 1995 World Championship Runner Up, now 54. Trump's long pot success was about 32% from what I remember from the stats, abysmal by his standards.

05-12-19, 04:31 PM
Ding knocks out Ronnie 6-4 and with Robertson losing 6-1 last night that's the three favourites in the betting now gone. Just as well I did the 4th favourite Selby on here :D

06-12-19, 01:38 AM
What did you say about selby lol

06-12-19, 08:18 AM
Standard

06-12-19, 11:27 AM
Heís not been consistent enough last few years. Gonna be a bit of a shock winner, probably have to fancy Higgins, Ding has all the talent but will do what he does beat and blow a big chance. Iím hoping Mark Allen can win it, should win a few more majors in his career

06-12-19, 12:05 PM
Looked at the odds this morning, Allen favourite, then Higgins and Ding, Maguire seems quite generous at 9/1.

06-12-19, 12:36 PM
O'Sullivan out..... good thing V-bets are down...

06-12-19, 06:31 PM
Well thatís Higgins gone too, he was terrible today

16-12-19, 08:44 PM
Sodís law Selby won the Scottish Open last night :D
