Can you keep the same team for many years? That is, a player goes through bad times during a competition and then comes back to play well or is this a myth? Do perfomances depend purely on whether the player is good or bad or he may be in a bad moment?

It's worth keeping track of the last 5 games or you always put the best ones? Do you put players with "low morale"? Thank you.

Morale and happyness are two factors that can affect player performance like a bad moment. Appart from that, as far as i know there is nothing else, just randomness.

There is also some hiden attributes which can cause a good player to perform bad in some matches, like low 'consistency', low 'important matches', low 'pressure', but thats not exactly a bad moment.

Of course a change in tactic/instruction or a different opponent that can neutralize a player can cause a good player to perform bad, but thats different from a bad moment as well.

its not uncommon to have news stories on shortlisted players where the media are killing a player for poor performances - these are red herrings and excellent triggers to put lowball offers in for really good players. Some guys take a year or more to adapt to a different league, and on the other hand a player might start off having a great year and suddenly turn to crap the next season - sadly I resort to checking CM Scout in these cases and it's usually because their CA/PA is absurdly low relative to their superficially great looking attributes....
