All the tactics below are based on the formations listed in the booklet that came free with the May edition of World Soccer Magazine.

Or course people will have different views on how a team played but these are just the tactics as they are in the book :)

Oh, and these tactics aren't going to break into the Open Tactic League (http://www.champman0102.co.uk/showthread.php?277-Open-Tactic-League) Top 10, just a bit of fun :D

Good work mate.

Almost certain that Helmer played as a sweeper in the '92 German side but I may be wrong.
I'm more likely to be wrong than WSM!

I suspect you won't be the last to debate a German tactic mate

Good work!

(I think it is Henry or Dugarry in France 2000, not Lacombe)

Cheers mate, will definitely be purchasing the magazine.

As well as Henry for France 2000, was it not Marcos Senna for Euro 2008, and Busquets for WC 2010?

No wonder West Germany won in '72 with a bloody centralised tactic!

It's quite interesting to see how tactics have developed over the years, eventually settling on the 4-4-2 formation in recent years.

I like some of the formations though I must admit, especially Portugal '04, Italy '00, and France '00. Impressive stuff.

I'd recommend this book to you then mate if you like the history of tactics,

Even wib-wobbed, the WM tactics will not set the world alight. I've tried it before, CM doesnt love it.

I've just finnished the first season using France - Euro 2000 Winners with Chelsea. The result is quite good. But when I met PSG, Real or Barca, I got bad results. Hope to get some advices for this tactic to have better results. Thanks, mates!!!
