People don't watch what was once a prime sport for noble people ;).

Though, ATP released TOP 10 Hot Shots of 2012 (as all tournaments have ended).

Makes me proud that Jerzyk is 2nd in that one! :D

Amazing plays from Federer and Nadal. Och yeah, watch 1st one... Bulgarian Federer... ^^

Novak Djokovic has bought the entire supply (and future supply) of Serbia's donkey milk cheese

Yep, donkey milk cheese

Jennifer Capriati charged with stalking, battery

Jennifer Capriati, now 36, has had a tough road since her days as a teen tennis prodigy and a stint atop the world rankings.
Although she's a three-time Major winner and a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, she's had difficulties off the court, with arrests ranging from shoplifting to marijuana possession.

And the problems continue. Capriati now faces battery and stalking charges in Palm Beach County, Florida stemming from an incident with an ex-boyfriend on Valentine's Day. According to North Palm Beach police, Capriati approached her ex-boyfriend, Ivan Brannan, at a gym and began screaming at him. When he tried to leave by going to the men's locker room, Capriati allegedly blocked his path and punched at his chest.

The summons indicates that she "actually and intentionally touch[ed] and [struck]" Brannan and "willfully, maliciously and repeatedly follow[ed], harass[ed]" him.
According to county records, Capriati has been summoned to appear before a judge on April 17. However, she has not been arrested.

I'd say she'd be a fair ride

Who's everyone got for Roland Garros?

24-06-13, 05:54 PM
Nadal in the soapy bubble, 2 sets and a break down

24-06-13, 06:06 PM
3-0 to Steve Darcis, Nadal out in the first round :faint:

More knee problems for Nadal by the sounds of things :(

It does open the draw up for Murray now though as he was due to meet Nadal (provided the both kept winning) in the quarters!

24-06-13, 08:12 PM
It's all about Kirilenko

Think it was Federer who would have met Nadal in the quarters and the winner would face Murray in the semi.

24-06-13, 08:41 PM
......and the winner would face Murray in the semi.

If he gets there.

24-06-13, 09:08 PM
Watch how Janowicz develops. My God this is break taking development. Each tourney he plays in the progress is very visible.

Probably "could" end in top 10 in near future. Nadal out is quite good news actually ;).

24-06-13, 10:15 PM
If he gets there.

I'm not saying anybody will get anywhere, was just saying what would have happened if all the favourites progressed

25-06-13, 11:27 AM
Nadal was always going to be vulnerable in the first rounds when the grass is still in good condition. In semis and final, it's more dirt than grass, which helps Nadal immensely.

26-06-13, 01:06 AM
Kirilenko out :(

No point watching Wimbledon now!

Well - maybe not as I'm going on Thursday - then Wimbledon beers with the posh ladies

26-06-13, 03:41 PM
Can't think why I'm enjoying the Cetkovska v Wozniacki match so much!

26-06-13, 09:05 PM
Federer out.

Here's a pic of Djokovic and Murray when they heard!

26-06-13, 11:03 PM
Kirilenko out :(

Ana Ivanovic still in though ;)

01-07-13, 03:49 PM
Serena Williams out. Looks too trim. Seems to have always played better with the chunky look!

01-07-13, 03:53 PM
Lisickiiii! :)

Shame I couldn't watch it. First time Serena lost in 30-odd games or so.

02-07-13, 01:23 PM
Radwanska today. Bugger me she's hot!

02-07-13, 04:53 PM
She is ugly when it comes to Polish women. Much better babes you can see on the streets around here. ;).

Great that she will be in the final (sorry, but I don't believe Lisicki to do anything worthwhile to stop her from reaching Final once more :D).

Who will she play in the final though?

Also Kubot vs Janowicz match tomorrow is more exciting. Wishing for Janowicz to go through (as he is from same city I am) and he has better chances against Murray in Semi than Kubot imo :).

And heard Murray is slightly injured, is promising news to see Polish final (both in women and men :D).

great :D.

02-07-13, 05:56 PM
Agree with infooooo about better Polish girls than that player!

02-07-13, 06:18 PM
There are a lot of tennis players better looking than A. Radwanska too, but few as strangely endearing. Genie Bouchard almost broke my heart when she lost to that weird Spaniard.

03-07-13, 08:57 PM
Come on Andy :ok:

What a fighter :ok:

04-07-13, 05:00 PM
Great that she will be in the final (sorry, but I don't believe Lisicki to do anything worthwhile to stop her from reaching Final once more :D).

Good to see you are an expert. Didn't expect anything else :)

04-07-13, 05:01 PM
Great that she will be in the final (sorry, but I don't believe Lisicki to do anything worthwhile to stop her from reaching Final once more :D).

You were saying!

04-07-13, 05:04 PM
Much rather Lisciki won. At one point they showed the winner stats. 55 to Lisciki and 15 to Radwanska. I prefer offensive players rather than players who just try to get it back and hope the other player messes up.

04-07-13, 05:08 PM
I could understand if you said that about Gilles Simon, but come on, Radwanska is the best all-court player in the women's game since Hingis and perhaps Novotna.

04-07-13, 05:40 PM
I'm not saying she isn't a good player. She's extremely intelligent and has a lot of shots in her locker. She knows she can't hit the ball as hard as a lot of players so she works with what she's got. All i was saying is that i much prefer players who go for it and hit a lot of winners.

04-07-13, 06:36 PM
Fair play - there hasn't many many dominion sting winners over past few years - always makes for interesting tournaments

Still gutted Kirilenko went out so early :(

05-07-13, 04:10 PM
Del Potro is a fucking machine! hitting such fast forehands

What a game this is!

Welsh and Scottish have brought the bacon home this weekend for GB

08-07-13, 01:58 AM
England will retain the ashes to make up for it :ok:

08-07-13, 09:27 AM
Won't that really be South Africa?! :)

30-06-15, 01:28 PM
It's that time of the year again... Wimbledon!

Who's watching? I've tried following all of the GB entrants with interest.

First one up yesterday was Liam Broady against Matosevic. He was two sets down and then pulled it out of the bag to win 3:2. Very good game of Tennis to watch.

Started watching a bit of Konta against Sharapova but she was getting battered and then had to do some work.

Didn't see Naomi Broady play so can't judge but she's another who was beaten.

Heather Watson was a set down last night, had a terrible start but managed to tie it before the game was suspended due to bad light. Looking forwards to seeing how that one pans out today.

Got a stream going from the BBC website at the moment and watching Kyle Edmund against Alexandr Dolgopolov. It's a bit like watching Broady yesterday, Edmund has gone two sets down and seems to have a shoulder problem. He's started well in the third set but Dolgopolo has broke his serve so it's 4:2 to the Ukrainian as I type.

Laura Robson and Andy Murray are in action later too.

30-06-15, 01:41 PM
And Alexandr Dolgopolov wins in 3 sets. Think that shoulder injury was too much for Edmund which was a shame.

Laura Robson is up next!

Turned over to Brydan Klein who is up against Andreas Seppi on court 18. He's losing by two sets already as well. Not a good day for the Brits so far!

30-06-15, 01:42 PM
Broady was a great match yesterday.

Nice start for a Brit on day 1. Crowd was loving it.

30-06-15, 01:47 PM
Definitely was. I'd missed the first set so I tuned in to see the comeback take place.

Don't think I like the look of this Klein player. Attitude seems all wrong for me.

13-07-15, 01:13 PM
Hawkeye's use needs to be more strictly monitored. Discuss.

13-07-15, 02:13 PM
Does it not work quite well?

13-07-15, 05:12 PM
Has a margin of error of +/- 3mm but it being used as infallible for decisions of less than that.

13-07-15, 08:56 PM
well - I guess that until a better system with lower error rate comes in its there to stay?

07-03-16, 11:01 PM
Nope Sharapova's not retiring, she's being caught going to Tiesto concert's and taking yokes

Sex tape to follow?

07-03-16, 11:02 PM
Genuine error? or more behind it?

08-03-16, 09:14 AM
Tested positive for a banned substance in a medicine she has been taking since 2006..

08-03-16, 09:41 AM
Was only banned in the new year.

She's made a mistake but it's nowhere near as bad as it sounds

08-03-16, 10:21 AM
Massive oversight from her management team not to look into the new list of banned substances that was released on the 1st January though. Surely they would have known she's been taking a certain drug for 10 years and thought to double check the list for it?

11-11-16, 11:33 AM
murray now the number one tennis-er on tge planet :first:

i have novac to win his group in the tournament in a decent bet but i dont really know a lot about the sport at all.
ivan lendl griup :noidea:

didnt know any of the other three players in the group and it was a 1/2 shot so i imagine he should progress handily enough.

tennis fans here though, is murray likely to beat him if they both progrees to the finals stage?

11-11-16, 12:26 PM
Novak will beat Murray every time if he's on form.

11-11-16, 06:46 PM
Murray got the tougher group IMO

06-07-17, 10:52 AM
Anybody watching the Wimbledon?

Murray has a bit of a hip injury but no trouble in getting to the 3rd round so far. I caught Heather Watson's game yesterday in which she won the first set 6:0, impressive stuff. She's equalled her best run ever at Wimbledon.

Laura Robson very disappointing in going out in the first round on Monday too - Gather she's lost a lot of confidence and form though after injuries.

06-07-17, 07:23 PM
Not really watching but working from home tomorrow and next week so will do then :)

Will pop to Wimbledon for beers next week as well on Wed I think - sounds like they have massive screen in central wimbledon somewhere. The pubs/restuarants are brilaiint for these 2 weeks and "fanoir" EVERYWHERE to look at

Watson and Robson built up too much - lot of pressiure for youn un's

How well has that Konta done though to get Top 10 in the world

07-07-17, 10:23 AM
Sounds good, Redders. Wouldn't mind doing that myself in the future sometime just to partake in the atmosphere!

07-07-17, 03:26 PM
Poor Bethanie Sands. Career in tatters now. Terrible knee injury for doubles ranked nr 1 tennis player :(.

Radwańska does miraculously to get to Round 3. She should have been out yesterday, but somehow managed to win.

07-07-17, 11:04 PM
didn't see the match apart from last 3 games but seems like Murray picked himself up well

Was his opponent being slagged off from the commentatros for some reason?

27-01-18, 12:26 PM
A real battle in the Ladies Final of a Grand Slam. Nice one!!!

27-01-18, 12:53 PM
Really happy for Woz. Been a long graft for her to get there!
New number 1 as well.

All I can think about Halep is how big her 'chest' used to be!! :pound:

28-01-18, 12:46 PM
The legend strikes again!!! :hail:

02-07-18, 12:52 PM
No Andy Murray at Wimbledon this year then!

Doubt Jo Konta will repeat her feat from last year either.

May be a very quiet tournament this time around from a Brit perspective.

02-07-18, 01:48 PM
Konta gone way down

Think Murray thought 5 sts will be a killer and just traiun up and go hard at US Open (and hasn't he got a young kid now )

No idea who wonem's winner will be - healthy competition there and seems to change a lot

Fed must be amongst favourites - amazing how he is still top of the treee given his age - shows how much he still thrives on it!

Think some of the "other" Brits have been improving like Kyle Edmund though

11-07-18, 09:19 PM
A couple of unbelievable matches, today at Wimbledon!

11-07-18, 10:49 PM
Not watched ONE game on TV or live - first time in a LONG time I haven't been bothered about it :noidea:

12-07-18, 09:52 AM
Stupid Federer... stupid Raonic... :(

12-07-18, 10:26 AM
Not watched ONE game on TV or live - first time in a LONG time I haven't been bothered about it :noidea:

Ditto. World Cup has taken precedent for me but the fact there hasn't been any Brits to follow for much of the tournament has taken the enjoyment out of it for me too.

12-07-18, 03:45 PM
Yeah with Milos and Shapovalov and Eugenie all gone now most of my reason to watch is gone... and no other CANZUK players in anymore either...

13-07-18, 07:32 PM
Will this match ever end

13-07-18, 07:54 PM
This was insane!

13-07-18, 11:05 PM
Too bad the other two competitors ran out of time before deciding a winner. It's another cracker so far!

16-07-18, 11:01 AM
The Isner Vs Anderson just made the other game the final by default. Anderson could barely move for the final

16-07-18, 11:18 AM
What happened to Serena as well

11-01-19, 08:36 PM
RIP Andy Murray

(Retire in peace)

11-01-19, 11:47 PM
Fair play - he's done chuffing well given the people he's had to compete with right at the very top

Probably the best athlete on the court for a while

Loves a blub tho!

12-01-19, 08:19 AM
People giving him shit for getting emotional about retiring need a look at themselves. Yes, he has 80 odd million in the bank but top top end sports people, especially in individual sports, essentially think of nothing but the sport they play from the day they start playing to day they finish. Thats going to be tough to accept not matter who you are.

12-01-19, 12:50 PM
He'll certainly be at a loss as to what to do with himself beyond retirement. May be a good idea for him to become a coach?

Hopefully he can get through the current grand slam and get to Wimbledon and bow out there. Would be a nice way to end (if he isn't embarrassed in a bad defeat of course!).

27-01-19, 11:50 AM
Yesterday's final was more of a contest than the one played today...

27-01-19, 11:56 AM
Yesterday's final was more of a contest than the one played today...

Yeah I had Djok to win but didnt expect it to be so comprehensive.

27-01-19, 12:16 PM
He's never played this well in his career.

That walkover helped though

27-01-19, 07:23 PM
Shouldn't be surprised really as Novak on form is unbeatable but I was surprised that Rafa offered little resistance in the end. Shame.

03-09-19, 12:33 PM
Really wanting Fed to win this US Open after what happened at Wimbledon but I think it might be Rafa's year...

04-09-19, 08:26 AM
And there go my hopes of that
