Havent found it so i go ahead and ask.
Does anyone of you have some kind of a list, when do star players usually retire in 01/02 without injuries or other factors taken into account? By list i mean names with dates.
Reason behind it is i dont want to rely on CMScout to find the regens, but want to take my time a browse for them manually, which takes more time than i expected so any help would be appreciated. Just finished first season so im kinda at that refresh date.
Thank you!

Handiest way is to use GFP2 (Generated Player Finder) at the start of a new game, take a snapshot and then run it again to find the regens in the summer after some have started retiring

Thanks for your quick answer.
Is there any significant difference between GFP 2 and GFP 3? Besides that i can't seem to make 3 work on win7 x64, while 2 does work. GFP 3 for me opens up a cmd line-ish window then closes it immediately.

There have been a few issues with v3 so best just use whats sure to work

yeh JL designed GPF3 at my request but I never got it to work, the only difference in GPF3 is that you can filter a range of PA instead of just from say 150 > you can choose 150 > 155 for example.

In that case, 2 is just fine.

Update: I have a savegame from 2016ish, therefor i can give you all some estimated dates, when to expect specific players. If you need, just let me know.

No way of knowing this, it's random every game.

Use the GPF2 tool and run it when you start a new game, this will tell you when everyone retires

Thanks Fodster. But I have a good game going already which I've just completed the first season of... could I start a new game with GPF2 to only find the retirement dates? But if it's randomised in each game, then I guess that doesn't help.

Hey,

sorry, i don't have it anymore. With the data updates, i keep deleting my old games as i don't play with the original database anymore.

no worries it was a longshot. I'm becoming disgruntled with fm17 so have been playing this more, but using original database not having much luck with the tools for download though they are supposed to be simple and user friendly but are far from it. Take flex for example to edit prize money its like hacking MI6 trying to get that to work, no one knows anything about prize money ive searched the threads.

 Flex is so easy to use

As are the tools for scouting and retiring players.

Just ask, someone will help
