APOEL 0-3 Al Faisaly

Emphatic debut win away from home. Should have been much more with Al Faisaly racking up 25 shots, 17 of which on target. APOEL had their goalkeeper to thank for keeping the tie from turning into an embarrassment. Goals from hot prospects Davinson Sanchez and Adam Armstrong along with the opener from man of the match Jeremy Perbet.

A home league match against top Arab side Al Ain is up next for the high flying Saudis

Al Hilal SC started off the season with a convincing victory away from home, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Lokomotiv controlled the actions during the first minutes until Al Hilal managed to open the score on the 17th. LINCOLN envisioned a stunning through ball from his own half just to find BRUNO RANGEL running past Lokomotiv defenders and finishing with class to find the net. 0-1

Al Hilal continued to pressure after the score and was denied the 2nd goal twice by the bar and many other times by Lokomotiv´s GK MIHAYLOV, one of the best players on the field and things looked to become easier when CATURANO saw the red card. But missing so many opportunities wouldn´t go unpunished. On the 39th, MANCINI found ORTIZ in the open and the striker gave Al Hilal their punishment. With a screamer from outside the box, he put the ball past ARANHA and Lokomotiv got their equalizer.

The celebration time was way too short for the locals, though. On the 41st BRUNO RANGEL, TMOTM, was taken down inside the box. GOUDA took on the responsibility to take the penalty and Al Hilal SC got back the lead.

The second half wasn´t nearly as thrilling as the first and Al Hilal only managed the time and made sure they went back to Riyadh with the first 3 points of the season in their luggage.

A promising start for the Saudi club as it presents a hole bunch of new faces to the SoccerWorld.

Vipers SC 5-0 Deportivo Mongomo

Vipers SC overcame the disappointment of losing Alvaro Arbeloa to a straight red in the 14th minute to record a dominant victory.

A Hat trick from Chu-Young Park and a goal from returning Striker Nakhi Wells helped seal the points for the home side alongside 3 assists from creator in chief Rajiv Van La Parra. Despite being down to 10 men vipers enjoyed 73% possession and restricted the visitors to one shot on target as they consolidated their position at the top of the table

A traditional bad start for me as we quickly go one nil down, things look to be going from bad to worse as Barracuda appear to score a second goal... only for it to be ruled out for offside! (PHEW!)

Cotonsport overcame a stubborn Deportivo Tachira 1-0 in a tight game. Callum Wilson scored his second goal in 2 games and came away with the man of the match award despite missing a number of chances. Dwight Gayle capped off an impressive debut with the assist and Isaksson pulled off a string of fine saves on his first appearance for the club.

Up next Pyongyang City. I'm not confident we can keep an in form Dybala quiet for the whole game, so Wilson will need to make every chance count!

Pyongyang City proved to be the huge test that Cotonsport were expecting.

We failed to keep Dybala quiet as he provided the assist for the opening goal. Pyongyang were playing well and truth be told probably deserved to win the game. Unfortunately for them, Isaksson (in goal for Cotonsport) was playing like a man possessed. He managed to repel the other 6 shots on target getting 10/10 for his efforts and coming away with the man of the match award.

Callum Wilson was becoming known as "the Doctor" amongst the squad and proved how clinical he could be, by finishing both of Cotonsports attempts on goal. They were his 3rd and 4th goals in his 3rd appearance and proved enough to secure the win. The game ended 2-1 to Cotonsport.

Cotonsport travelled away to Moghreb Tetouan and we were looking forward to the game, after our convincing win just a few days earlier.

Unfortunately the un changed team didn't have the effect we were hoping for and we were behind to a Guerra goal on the 14th minute. Forestieri quickly equalled the score 4 minutes later and after the break Matt Taylor scored his first goal for the club with a superb chip, putting Cotonsport 2-1 up.

Moghreb really seemed to push on in the last 20 mins and tested the 35 year old goalkeeper (Isaksson) on a number of occasions. The equalizer came via Bentancur 4 minutess from time leaving Cotonsport feeling like 2 points were dropped, conceding so late in the game.

Wilson (naturally) opened the scoring. Maybe a slight surprise was, the usually disappointing, Dwight Gayle providing the assist.
Tom Cairney then doubled the lead from a free kick.
Quickly followed by Jankovic's scuffed effort finding its way past Freddie Woodman in goal; 1 shot on target = 1 goal conceded, this might be proof that he's not quite ready to be a first team regular?.

Cotonsport dominated the game but failed to convert any chances in the first half, possibly due to Callum Wilson being out injured from the previous fixture.
