Good list Derm. I agree with most of yours apart from

Messi over Maradona
Eto'o over Milla
Suker over Prosinecki (just)
anyone over Ronnie Rosenthal
Boniek over Deyna
C Ronaldo over Eusebio
Rush over Giggs (only because he is the best goal poacher I've ever seen)

Forgot Eto'o  would agree there :ok:

Rosenthal was for the laugh :D

Just never seen enough of Rush. I'm sure there a few older Wales lads that would say Charles was better than Rush

Craig Forrest or Dwayne de Rosario for Canada for sure (maybe Peschisolido, Radzinski, Frank Yallop or Dale Mitchell too but I stand by my first 2 choices) ... Hoilett may take over one day but he is still very young, very unproven, and has not yet even made up his mind to play for Canada :ok:

Those who chose Ference Puskás over József Bozsik did so because they think that Puskás was better, or because he is more iconic?

Dermotron
04-04-12, 10:38 AM
I guess its because most of his peers at the time thought he was the best, better than Di Stefano even.

Nice thread and some great names listed amongst them...

Welsh one is a hard choice as not many to choose from... Ian Rush, John Charles, Ryan Giggs, Neville Southall <---- All 4 could have a say in who is the best, Rush is best goal poacher in a long time, John Charles - legend, could play up front or def and was one of the first major successes in a foreign league for a british player, Giggs - won it all at club level, Big Nev - quality keeper. Very hard choice for me, even being a liverpool supporter you would think Rush would be my first choice but for me one person takes it - Giggs! For everything he has achieved at club level and is still going strong. LEGEND!

Turkey - Hakan Sukur, no doubt. such a pity he's an ass

Di stefano was the first legend, dont forget him. Put him in Colombia if he cant make it to Argentina :D :P

Colombia: Valderema (altho I had so many high hopes for Asprilla)
