How to install Saturn's patch step by step

Saturn's patches are relative easy to install, but I see a lot of people having trouble with it and asking what to do. So here's a step by step instruction on how to install the patch!

Step 1: Install a fresh version of the game found here: http://champman0102.co.uk/downloads.php?do=file&id=2 (You can't update an older version or tapani patched version of the game).

Step 2: Install the official 3.9.68 patch found here: http://champman0102.co.uk/downloads.php?do=file&id=3

Step 3: Go to your Championship Manager 01-02 folder and Delete the 'Data' folder.

Step 4: Download the 'Data' folder from the Saturn v4 patch here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/zqaidpvn887tnn3/Data.zip.

Step 5: Extract and put the 'Data' folder from the Saturn v4 patch in your Championship Manager 01-02 folder.

Step 6: Select and download a preferred cm0102.exe from this post: http://champman0102.co.uk/showthread...802#post365802.

Step 7: Extract and put the cm0102.exe you just downloaded into your Championship Manager 01-02 folder, replacing the cm0102.exe that is there by default.

Step 8: Always make sure you run the cm0102.exe as administrator. To do this right click on the cm0102.exe and go to 'Properties'. Then go to the 'Compatibility' tab and check the box that says 'Run as administrator'.

Step 9: Play the game and have fun!

    Cheers!

Going by your instruction, do you need to essentially uninstall any current game and then do a completely fresh, from scratch install for the v4 to work?

You are best off doing that - yes

You don't have to. Just rename the original Championship Manager 01-02 folder by adding something to its name.

Then do a fresh install and the above.

You can have infinite CM's this way.

    (1) A completely fresh install is best if you don't have need the older install anymore.
    (2) If you have a save-file you will need to keep the old install as well because the new install cannot use the older save-file.
