Guten Tag from the Land of Rain

    Hi all, happy Monday!

I'm "the porridge man" - or at least that's what they call me in the office. Dunno why.... My name is actually Florian; I'm German, from a beautiful city called Rostock on the Baltic coast; but as time is flying I live still in the land of rain - Ireland - after moving here on a cold January day nearly seven years ago! Not in Dublin any longer, as horrendous rent prices forced me out of the city into the much more beautiful and peaceful countryside.

Been registered to this forum maaaany years ago (as a different user, too long ago to remember). Now rediscovering my love for the best football manager on the planet: Champ Man 0102.

Hours, days, nights and years went down the drain playing the game that meant so much to me back in the day. It still does. And thinking about it, it was time well spend: still regard winning my first CM 01/02 league title with OGC Nice - now more than a century ago - as one of the biggest successes of my life. Allez Le Gym!

In real life I work in Customer Success Management/Account Management, support my boyhood club Hansa Rostock, as well as the almighty Bohemian Football Club of Phibsboro. I do a bit of photography, enjoy to travel the world and besides have a weakness for any sort of football managers!

Thanks for keeping the game alive with this fantastic forum: you guys rock!

    Btw. I do love porridge....

    Thanks Mark!

Nope, that was Turner's Cross of Cork City. Dalymount Park doesn't look much better these days, to be fair. An old, shabby ground, full of character. May or may not be gone in a couple years when they build a new stadium there.

    Thanks!

Not good with the fire, Dermotron. "Only the portable cabins I heard.... which is bad enough.

What part of Ireland are you in now? I don't blame you for moving out of Dublin, I can't stand it . Interesting that you follow Bohs, most people I know don't even follow our league

    Many thanks Redknapp and Colm.

Moved to a quiet and tranquil part on the outskirts of Naas. A cozy two bedroom house... for the same price would have probably got a tiny shithole in Dublin 8!

Actually I am a season ticket holder for as long as I live in Ireland and am the creator of the German Bohs. Until earlier this year I lived only a stroll from the home of Irish football, and I supported Bohs already from Germany, then coming over to Ireland on several occasions for trips. It is fair to say, if not for my love for Irish football, I may never would have got the idea to move here.

Hey, Guten Tag and Welcome @The Porridge Flo!

I'm also new around here, registered because I'm having problems with my CM on a tablet with windows 8.1.

Best wishes and have a great day!

    Welcome!

Man we need a story written by you. You speak tranquil and peacefully, imaging you telling it like a marks and Spencer porn video.

Anyway, an German in Ireland... Sounds like a set up to bad joke... Enjoy your time here - again.

    Thank you!
Can tell you it's not a novelty, there are many of us here.... too many, some would say.

Not sure if the product will quite be able to live up to the expectations, but I just started a story: http://champman0102.co.uk/showthread.php?t=10142
