Plenty of rumours about unhappy players.... but the facts regarding Ajax are:

    And the facts regarding PSV:

How much did Sinkgraven go for?! Surprised he left Ajax for Zwolle in the game?! Got a screenie of him?

    Ajaz transfers - meh

But PSV have done a LOT of business

Who the feck are Kadioglu and Koopmeiners they have dropped so much cash on? And €20m on some Everton muppet? Are any of them 3 any good?!

Lot of money going out - surely they need to sell to balance the books?

But for me the biggest deal - and WHAT A PRICE is Meunier! Were you not interested in him (I know you have enough RB but he could maybe play DM?)

No in'sor outs for you yet planned?

Some good questions there. Scout reports indicate you're mostly right. Ajax get Anwar El Ghazi (Lille) whose scout rating is only 54.50

PSV get did good business and with Koopmeiners (and Meunier, of course) they might actually have struck gold.

    Koopmeiners (AZ) 64.26
    Meunier (PSG) 64.21
    ONyekuru (Everton) 57.97
    Kadioglu (Fenerbahce) 55.71
    Sandler (Man City) 54.78

We have all of our promising youngster sign contracts and are only interested in ex-Feyenoord players. The really good ones are not interested (yet). Also, all of our first team players are happy to stay at the club.

    So nothing planned, no.

Scout rating is how good 'objective scouts' think the players are. CMScout.exe can be used for that or CM Scout Intrinsic. Not that scout ratings guarantee success

Screenies will come in the winter break as those transfers could still fall through.

A crucial win with ten men

If anyone doubts our spirit, they just have to watch last night's game as we overcame the first-half sending-off of Rick Karsdorp to beat PEC Zwolle in another crucial Eredivisie match in front of a crowd of 35,269.

It started when Karsdorp made a dangerous, two-footed challenge on Vito van Crooij and was sent off! Leemans stepped up confidently and made no mistake in scoring the penalty and so here we were, with ten men and a goal down!

Of course this is the kind of scenario that would really test any team, but nevertheless we were convinced that we still had a good chance of getting somewhere with the crowd behind us. Therefore we played on with three defenders and we left the forward line intact.

It was a risk, but it paid off! With twenty minutes on the clock Haps got past Van Eijden and he squared the ball from the left. Vilhena controlled it well and he floated the ball over into the area where Berghuis climbed above Sinkgraven and powered a header past the PEC Zwolle goalkeeper!

After that equaliser both teams had an opportunity or two to score again, but in the end it was Jørgensen who netted our second goal when Haps found Sam Larsson with a pass down the left and Larsson delivered the ball in from wide for our striker who out-jumped the goalkeeper and scored a fine header!!

And so we were 2-1 up with ten men at half-time! But in the second half PEC-Zwolle started pressing forward so we decided to bring on Janmaat and we brought off Jørgensen and continued with four defenders again - but without a striker now.

And to be honest, it could have gone either way. When Marc Olivier Doue drove in low Bijlow did well to turn the ball away and our goalkeeper also denied Flemming when he attempted a viceous shot on goal from just outside the area. We actually did score a goal when Haps crossed into the box from the left and Berghuis found the net, but it was ruled out for offside.

And so we secured an important 2-1 victory with ten men!

Both of our central defenders, Bottegin and St.Juste, played extremely well after Karsdorp had been sent off, but they did both pick up a yellow card and so like Karsdorp they will be banned for the upcoming match against Ajax! Steven Berghuis was named Man of the Match.
    Spoiler!

Now to top off a near perfect day PSV were held to an unexpected 0-0 draw by visiting side Heerenveen at the Philips Stadium. PSV don't drop points very often in home games, but last night they did!

Ajax, on the other hand, defeated a stubborn AZ side with Ziyech scoring the deciding goal of the match in the second half.

    Spoiler!

So for the time being we have a top-three again, but we shall have to play Ajax at home and AZ away before the long winter break starts and no less than four of our defenders are unavailable against Ajax!

Unable to fill the bench, but that is a game you would have lost last season

Looks like a good team performance with lots of 8's and 9's

Beat Ajax and it all gets very interesting

As AJ says, why is van der Heijden listed ? And if he's listed, why is he in the 1st team squad, rather than giving one of the ones you want to keep a chance ?

Van der Heijden is only in the squad now because four of our defenders are injured. If he plays well against Ajax we may change our minds about him

    Our starting lineup against Ajax

Our midweek game against Ajax could not have come at a worse possible time! Four of our defenders are banned for this match, while Ajax are nigh unstoppable this season.

With both of our central defenders banned for this match we will have to play Ajax with a makeshift defence: Van der Heijden and Bart Nieuwkoop as central defenders and Darryl Janmaat as right defender, replacing the suspended Rick Karsdorp.

Ajax will play an attacking 4-5-1 formation with Ziyech and Neres as their most forward-minded midfielders and Dolberg as lone striker.

Tagliafico is injured, but their defence is still very solid, on paper.

Good point. It was a straight red, so it will be a lengthy ban

Just goes to show that we indeed needed both Karsdorp and Janmaat!

Wow - great comeback and big balls shown by the guys

    PSV dropping

That DM on the bench for Ajaz is a BEAST in few years - just bought him in my Liverpool game

Yes, Gravenberch is young but already often showing his skill. But they're playing us without a proper DMC.
