    Nick, could you take a look in the fact that regens are always of the same Country? I think if you could, at least partially, ramdomize this, it'd be more challenging.

    They are already random in the raw .68 and even more random in tapani patch. But the chances of getting a regen with different nationality is rare. So one thing that could be done is increase the chances there.

    The regen nation randomness in .68 is not weighted, so for example a brazilian legend can regen in Fiji for example. The randomness in the tapani patch is weighted, so a brazilian legend will likelly regen in a country with big tradition in football.

    I was just doing some experiments with goalkeepers in the raw .68 and when Kahn retired I was looking for a german regen with high PA but couldnt find, lost a few minutes searching for it, only to realise he was born with Lithuanian nationality

    I wonder if somebody could make a patch that moves the Dutch top goal scorer and player of the year awards to end of may instead of march. Because the season is still ongoing it makes no sense they already have a top goalscorer award.
    Same for Dutch first division.

    Just seen this. Looks fantastic...

    But which option to tick if I want to fix the creativity attribute bug?

    Also if I'm running a network game and load up it up on my laptop as host with nthe patch applied. , what about the rest of the players joining me? Will they also need the patch? Will it cause errors to our saved game?

    @Foggy: Click on Tools -> Misc Patches and find it in there (UnlockYourCreativity.patch). I would say all players should apply it so you all run exactly the same exe. It won't affect or corrupt your saved game.

    Indeed. In raw .68 - you have a 1 in 4 chance it seems of the regen not getting the same nationality. It's this code that decides:

    Hi Nick and Co. Just wondering if this 1 in 4 option has been changed in the latest patches ie are regens no longer able to change nationality. Will Luis Suarez always be uruguayan ?
    I kinda liked the random part of the regens and was wondering if a patch could make all regens change nationality to a random one. Cheers

    I endorse this suggestion

    In all the games I try, players always regenerate with the same nationality. In long games it gets a little boring.

    And another point. Could priority be given to countries with higher reputations? For example, that more players from competitive countries and not from soccer-non-existent countries regenerate (for example, Fiji, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc.)

    As Nick often says, the only things the patch changes are the things you choose to change.
    If you want to change the nationalities of the regens then Nick provided t5he offsets justa couple of posts up.

    brilhant nick! I always felt it was much rarer. 1 in 4 is a big surprise to me ! Great to know.

    So it skips over the 1 in 4 code if the Nation has a staff count over 100 (?!)

    I like the idea of making a patch that makes it so all players get a new nationality with vanilla .68 and it being a nation of at least some repute.

    @evesham: That probably isn't too tricky - but not sure I want to change it I'm afraid (I like that you have to keep an eye on your team as you play a match)

    This checks if a regen player's potential is 120 or higher and if so changes their nation to a different nation (but one with a high reputation in football).

    The reason I check potential is because really people only care about the v.best players anyway when it comes to regens and without it, after a number of seasons all the smaller nations would be bereft of players if I just always regen'd to footballing nations.

    It only works on raw .68 exes (i.e. not Tapani/Saturn patched ones - as the Tapani Regen code will override this patch).

    Nice for .68!

    Now about tapani/saturn, no need to do this change, because as i mentioned above tapani implemented this random based on nation reputation already in his regen code, so no need to do this again for his code, would only need to increase the chances of randomness in his code (as its rare).

    I don't know how to test the random nationality code, but in any case I offer to try it in a game if they explain how to do it

    ^ How sure are you about this one? Tapani's regen code is at 00602700, but I can't see any changes to the stored nation going on? But I could just be being blind/stupid! But I can't find mention of this nationality change to Tapani regens on the forum either (again, could me being rubbish and searching )

    @Ratio: My code does it based on the reputation of the country - each country has a reputation value which is relatively accurate (and of course could be changed by the game editor) - so this is best way rather than having a hard coded list.
