Hmmmmm - not sure we deserved a loss

Delighted to be back on the pitch. Seemed to work well with me old mucker Gazza and trying to feed AJ

My shooting boots were not on but a Liverpool combo to assist Riise

Pleased to be back on the pitch and contribute though - just need to be more clinical next time!

Poor result against a team we really should be looking to defeat if we were looking to get out of this division.

Hope that we can get back to winning ways in our next game against the swans.

Not sure why you're so desperate to get promoted this season. We'd get murdered every game if we did

AWOL: Dom, GFRay, drkshadow1, BobMem, Felix, ebfatz, jacobclear, dl8860.
Unavailable: Dom (1 month), pyromyst (1 month), ZanSnake (3 weeks), dweatherston11 (few days).

    Previous Results
    Season 5 - Championship - H - Swansea - 1:3 (Redknapp69).

The Vipers, having looked to have recovered their season a few games ago, are certainly going through a tough spell once again after suffering two defeats on the trot, both at home. Losing to Norwich was made all the worse by losing both Dom and ZanSnake to injury, to join pyromyst and dweatherston11 in the treatment room.

Apart from Dom, all three at present at HQ to support the team going to Swansea. Unfortunately, there's also no sign of drkshadow1 and ebfatz to severely test the squad, one that needs a further three players rested as well as four players who should be rotated out after registering a 6.

So where to begin? After a run of 15 starts in a row, Erkifino has finally lost place his in the team to allow grianaig to make only a 11th start of the season in the sticks.

In defence, the back four was expected to be changed entirely but only Dermotron keeps his place due to dweatherston11 being injured. samsami, trunky and Effiong unmarked! do come in to replace the injured and AWOL Dom, the AWOL drkshadow1 and PedroM. The latter stays in the squad as the only defender on the bench.

In midfield, the trio of gazzas1uk, Redknapp69 and riise would stay in the side but with this game taking place only three days after the Norwich defeat, gazzas1uk and riise are in need of a rest to allow starts for evesham and London35. hornbloweroafc was also expecting to be replaced after registering a 6 but instead, he stays in as ebfatz is AWOL. In fact, The Gaffer has a huge problem on his hands with the injury to ZanSnake (as Felix is of course AWOL again). If ebfatz had been here to start in the middle, hornbloweroafc would have been a natural adjustment to the right wing but instead, riise will have to start there despite a fitness rating of 78%.

There are no changes up front with AJ keeping his spot and staying fit to start.

With the lack of options in the squad, gazzas1uk and Kowalinho join the bench despite there being Bevchenko and Spectral there as options in their positions already.

    KICK OFF!
9 - GOAL! The first chance of the game results in a goal and it's for the hosts as Rodon embarked on a run that sees him pass into the area for Montero. He delivers it to the far post and McBurnie gets up to head it home.
12 - OVER! Narsingh takes control of a ball and hits a fierce shot that goes just over.
13 - OVER! A difficult one for London35 who hits a crashing drive from distance but sends it clean over the bar.
23 - GOAL! It's come from nowhere but Redknapp69 hit a savage right footed effort to score a magnificent goal to put the Vipers back in the game.
31 - BAR! A long range shot from Montero hits the woodwork and bounces clear.
36 - WIDE! London35 skips past the challenge of van der Hoorn before hitting a hopeful looking shot that goes wide of the goal.
    HALF-TIME!
51 - WIDE! Fer stretches to meet a pass from Montero and drives it wide.
55 - CHANGE! Swansea the first to freshen things up as Fulton comes off for Rossiter.
61 - POST! AJ is denied as he receives a pass from Redknapp69, turns on the ball and smashes it in low but sees it hit the post.
62 - CHANGE! The first for the Vipers as Redknapp69 tires and is replaced by Big E.
65 - SAVED! AJ hits a long range effort after evading the challenge of Rodon but Muller smothers it quickly.
71 - CHANGE! Another change for the Vipers with PedroM replacing Effiong unmarked!
72 - WIDE! London35 passes into the area for Big E who is unmarked but hits a half volley wide of the goal.
74 - CHANGE! The last one for the Vipers as evesham comes off and is replaced by Spectral.
    FULL-TIME!

A credible draw for the Vipers given the circumstances and much deserved too.

NEXT UP - The games continue to come thick and fast as the Vipers now play Middlesbrough in four days.

Ah well, we didn't lose! Grab the points at home then and we'll be fine.

Also, what did Riise eat at half time? He was puking all over the place that last fifteen minutes..

Will you though? The limited options in the AM spots is ridiculous this season. Obviously injuries don't help but when you consider nobody signed up to be a third AMR as well as having three that did sign up constantly AWOL, no wonder we struggle for goals sometimes.
