    Pets!

    Who has them then?

Couple 'o' cats myself. Would like a dog but different ball game so don't see that happeneing for a few years.

Anyway, my cat deffo has a 2nd home so thinking of getting a tracker - anyone done this for a cat? Don't need anything flash - just want to find out where the little moggy goes to so it's more a 1 time useage rather than tracking every day.

Have no issue with 2nd home as they are looking after it. Recently Cat has had a couple of really bad bitemarks/scrapes etc but it's been cleaned and had area around it shaved etc by whoever is at this 2nd home! I only really see this cat mostly at nights (think it didn't get on with roaming babies!) while the other cat is pretty much indoors most of the day!

They seem to cost a wedge on Amazon for anything decent

Also wandering on here if anyone has obscure pets

    Fire away!

We've got a weekend dog - a 10-year-old Springer Spaniel named Buster it's my girlfriend/her dad's dog so when she moved in with me, Buster stayed at her parents' house. Her dad is retired so he has him all week and we take him at the weekend, works out well!

Had cats all my childhood cos my mum likes them - she still has four now! Doesn't bother tracking them though.

I have a German Shorthaired Pointer named Millie - gorgeous dog

    Dogs = better than cats
Even if you feel you don't have the time for one, one of them smaller bastards are perfect if you catch my drift

    Hate cats

Always been a dog family, grown up with two border collies (one after the other).

GF currently wants a cocker spaniel now that we've moved into our house. Definitely do want a dog but just know I'll be the one that has to look after it all the time

Cats usually have a few homes. They probably have a similar thread telling each other how many humans they own.

Always had both up until 2 years ago when the last our three dogs was put to sleep. He was 16 year old Norwegian elk hound. We'd an 18 year collie and a 20 year Scottish terrier. All found as stray pups. We're down to two cats and a horse from 5 cats, 3 dogs and 3 horses. Technically we had 4 dogs as the neighbours one slept in our porch til she died.

Dog people are a funny species. Getting up at 5 am to take a walk in all sorts of weather, and picking up somebody else's poo in small plastic bags.

    Enjoy! 😁

I own a cat, Ayaki (small fighter), but he lives with my kids.

I'm pretty sure there's a mouse in my kitchen sometimes. Does that count?

Two cats in my place. a 7 year old Maine Coon and a wee kitten that was found dumped by some twat. Never grew up with cats, but now I have them I couldn't not. Very loving and easy to look after.
Maine Coon is handsome and stupid, the other one is a smart cheeky wee fucker. Won't confuse you with their Norwegian names.

Seriously, who dumps a kitten? Jesus some people are crook.

PETA recently did a disgusting experiment - unsure if everyone saw it - where they pretended to barbecue a DOG! I don't live in Sydney, but news gets around. Read more here.

How do you feel about it?

PETA do some strange things, but the reason behind that would be to try and show people that dogs are just the same as pigs/cows etc. It's to try and get people to realise that and make the connection.

Isaac Butterfield explained it pretty well

  24. PETA suck. Hypocrites. They kill 90% of the animals they take in to their "shelter". If they truly cared about animal welfare, they'd stop spending millions on celebrity ad campaigns, and actually work with people in the farm and agriculture industry to improve things

Yeah - I think that video details it pretty well. I don't know a helluva lot about PETA but just looked at their twitter - had to laugh
