    R then

Rihanna and Calvin Harris - We Found Love

Another toe tapper of a tune - have very good memories of this song a few years back when I was in Las Vegas and MGM Pool Party with Calvin Harris DJ'ing

A beer cost 12! and Water was 10

Was too busy there, couldn't get into pool much. I stayed for the set and had a whale of a time though

    S is for Snow Patrol

Nice tune remembering my youth sat in the Flat on a Friday night smoking weed, drinking Stella, eating the munchies and playing on PES all night with mates.

    U - Ulver - Lost in moments

From black metal to jazz to electronica, I doubt any band has a more varied discography than these Norwegians. Btw Ulver means "Wolves" in Norway lingo.

This is one of their jazzier ones. Put on some headphones and close your eyes. Dat saxomophone!

V is For Voodoo & Serano - a bit of a dance banger back in the day.

I like the piano and the melody

Ulver are one of my favourite bands. (Unrurpsisingly) I like their black metal stuff best - probably my favourite black metal band, but I love all the various other stuff too.
They recently released the live record Drone Activity, which was recorded at a tiny festival-like thing in Oslo last year. Apparently the arranger got some criticism for having a "too commercial" lineup for the arrangement. Ulver showed up and did this, so i dunno... :p
    Spoiler!

Speaking of wolves, here are some American ones, with a swedish house wolf as guest artist on this track.

I suspect they've already been used, but not this song - On Hold by The xx.

Reminds me of listening to music all day in my old job - Apple's Beats 1 radio station had just launched and this came on, it sounded familiar and I loved it straight away! Was on my playlist for about a year

    Y is Yomanda

Yomanda Synth & Strings is one of those club tracks everyone knows but depends on their mood whether they like it (even though some will argue its' shit no matter your mood )

    Zappa

Unsurprisingly, I guess, this tune was banned in the US on it's release... I guess having a sense of humour and satirizing sexual liberation was just too much back then...

Forever Young by Alphaville. Always been aware of the song but after hearing it on an early episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia recently, I've not been able to stop listening to it. What a song.

Asked my girlfriend if it can be the first dance at our wedding... she said no

    B then

    Blink 182 - First Date

Could have picked plenty of songs from them but I guess this takes me back to University Days, American Pie film and all of that - GREAT days!
