March 2019 Data Update Preview Save

March 2019 Data Update Preview Save

Click the link below to Download the March 2019 Data Update Preview Save

    Download HERE

Simply extract the save file from the zip folder and add them to your Championship Manager 01-02 folder. In a change to previous there are 2 save files, one is an August start and the other is a January start.

This save game won't work with any saturn's patches unfortunately. But here's a tutorial for installing multiple databases for those who want to help but also want to keep their current setup.

We are in the home straight for getting the March 2019 data update out but we need your help too This a great community and hopefully we will get the great response we got here, here, here, here, here, here and here

    What we want from you:

    - Missing players
    - - Clubs are limited to 50 players so we can't every youngster to the database. There is no need to fill out each club with 50 players either
    - Missed transfers
    - Missed loans (we don't add loans that last less than 3 months unless they are to the end of the season. So month loan long/emergency aren't added)
    - Incorrect positions
    - - 2 games in one position in 2 years for a regular doesn't warrant that position showing
    - - - this site is great to help out too even 433 is misrepresented on it http://www.football-lineups.com/
    - Incorrect staff - managers, coaches, scouts, physio's, chairmen
    - Injuries - none less than 3 months though
    - Duplicate players - there are a lot in the database at the minute.

What is still outstanding or not in the preview save:

    - Transfers for February where transfer window is still open
    - Correcting teams with 50 players in Germany (or 48 where there is a linked B team)
    - Player Histories
    - Finding duplicates
    - Testing the database
    - Correcting line-ups
    - Correcting positions
    - Adjusting players Current Ability (overated/underated)

This save was loaded on a just the 3.9.68 patch with no Tapani patch so it starts in 2001/02 and without the additions of a Tapani patch. Nor with the renaming or saturn's patches. We really just want data from you guys are we'll be doing plenty of testing ourselves over the next few weeks. If you are unsure what a data update actually changes http://champman0102.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3589

    Preview Save thread closes: 04/03/19

Full Data Update release date: 18/03/18

If you can, please refrain from using "up a bit", "down a bit", "under rated". Explain what change needs to be made i.e. Aggression should be ~13 not 4, Strength ~6 not 16 and so on.

    Thanks

I thought it was your picture xD

Would it be possible to make Higuain a loan to Chelsea from Juventus instead of a transfer back? So it would be easier to sign him permanently.

-Willian I would give unhappy trait, wants to move club, fav club 1 - Barcelona? (he still seems sad about not being allowed to go)
I would give some other players either dislike manager or 'want to move club' unhappiness trait too to be realistic, as they have been frozen out the squad completely - Cahill and Drinkwater

    Everything else looks nice.

Bruno Lage, Benfica's manager DOB is 12-05-1976

Luis Esteves is no longer a Benfica coach, he is at All Nasr, same with Arnaldo Teixeira, he is Assistant Manager at All Nasr.

João Félix should have '15' value as an attacker in my opinion.

Bruno Fernandes from Sporting should have a higher finishing, around 14 in my opinion.

Nelson Veríssimo is assistant manager at Benfica, there is another Veríssimo with the same DOB, delete that one.

Sérgio Conceição should have '20' in attacking.

    Álvaro Magalhães manager at farense.

True but he can't move to another club after Chelsea have paid a fee to loan him until the end of the season. All loans with a fee will be done like this

That's fine it's just if Higuain transfers to Juventus at the end of the season, and you try to sign him after I think it will give the message 'Juventus dont want to sell Gonzalo Higuain as they have recently signed the player' and Higuain having just transferred might not want to return to the previous season's club in his history (I'm guessing), so it will be more difficult to re-sign him to Chelsea permanently for the next season.

But I guess that does not matter if Chelsea have been banned by Fifa (in real life) from signing players for the next 2 transfer windows...
I do wonder if that includes options to extend existing loan contracts though?

Danny Ings is setup on loan with perm transfer, so why is this the case? I'd prefer this option for Higuain and all the others as this is realistic.

Higuain isn't joining Chelsea at the end of the season. It's a completely different type of deal. Ings is perm transfer after his loan

@Moshin - loans are treated as a negative in the game so Higuain will leave in game after a few weeks to a new club. Far more unrealistic than not being able to sign him for a few weeks when he rejoins Juve in game

Ok maybe this would it easier for comprehension - without the fee in real life, a Russian team could sign an on loan Higuain. With the loan, Chelsea have temporarily bought the right to exclusivity which can only be ended by them. Not even Juve can recall him. In game loans are so outdated any deal like thIs makes dirt of all the work we do by decent players on loan get sold so soon after a new game starts

The Majority of AI are playing a defensive 451 formation making the game boring playing against the same formation, most of which the real teams don't actually play. Can we get some variation on the Ai tactics again please.

I can agree that a lot of teams play 4-5-1 can make the game boring, but its because of the prefered style of the managers of the team. We choose to make the game realistic and therefore try to find out the favourite styles of the managers. If you find any incorrect please let us know which one.

    Liverpool
    • Remove Joe Roberts as Coach – no idea who he is
Caoimhin Kelleher signed a new long term deal with club – contract expires after 1 year in game
Adam Bogdan – if someone knows how he’s doing at Hibs feel free to pipe up but I’d suggest lowering his GK att’s as they lok a little high to me
Ryan Kent – think his contract runs until 2022 but expires after 1 year in game
Mo Salah – Influence up a few (say similar to Mane) as has captained Egypt and obviously influential apart from being a captain
Andrew Robertson – influence up. Scotland Captain and won’t be far of Liverpool Captain in years to come.
Dejan Lovren – Anticipation down a few. Currently higher than VVD (who is superb at reading the game). Decisions and Creativity down a couple. I wouldn’t argue if Marking/Positioning/Tackling all came down by at least 1. Also, not sure if anything can be put in for injury proneness. I don’t think he’s played more than few games for us in a row in a long time now
Joel Matip – still don’t think he should have 20 for jumping – down a few IMO
Albie Moreno – maybe a point or so reduction across the board. You can see him going to Barca and being a worldie but as given he’s not played consistently for a year small downgrade is fair
Connor Randall – Point or so general downgrade. Solid enough academy player but not sure what level he’ll go to next as don’t think he tore it up when at Scotland last season
Fabinho – Jumping and Heading to deffo increase by a few – one of the best we have and like a fecking magnet to the ball!
Rafa Camacho – Shows up under midfielders yet his position in game is D RLC? I’d say change position to have midfield (or even attacking midfield) and defender. He’s always been a winger but has played a few games at full/wing back
Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo signed a long term deal in 2018 but contract runs out after 1 season in game
Allan signed a new deal last year but contract runs out after 1 season in game (not sure how long deal he signed though)
James Milner – think his contract runs out in 2020 and not 2019. Defender back as part of his position as well?
Harry Wilson – good to see he’s had an increase – see how he finishes the season and he may be worthy of another one
Gini Wijnaldum – Anticipation up around 3 or so
Herbie Kane – Maybe anyone that knows Doncaster can advise how he’s playing but I’d say a general downgrade needed. Curtis Jones is rated much better than him but Herbie seems much better
Alex Oxlade Chambo – Looks like he may make first team appearance by end of March so change injury to 9 months out maybe?
Adam Lewis (as Azmaster said) should be at Liverpool, he signed a long term deal

    Swansea
Martin Olsson – 6 month Achilles injury he sustained in December IRL and he’s out for rest of season.
Connor Roberts – Good to see he’s had an increased update. Likely Wales’s RB for years to come – likes a goal as well when he’s marauding forward!
Oli McBurnie – Good to see an improvement in him as well. Once of the Championship top scorers. Stamina, Work Rate and Teamwork to all go up by a couple. Slogs himself for the team and leaves it all out there!
Courtney Baker–Richardson – Pace, Teamwork and Work Rate all up a few
Joel Asoro – Maybe change position to Forward as Swans don’t utilise him as a striker any more (out wide)
Jefferson Montero should be on loan to WBA
Daniel James – contract ends in 2 years’ time not 1. Pace and Acceleration up a few – now one of fastest players in the division. VERY highly rated.
Bersant Celina – Passing and Creativity up a couple. He’s still the architect of the team
Matt Grimes.. Work Rate and Team Work up a couple. Can play RB or BL and CM. Excellent versatility but one of the reasons why he hasn’t locked down a startin spot
Kyle Macaulay is head of recruitment at Swans so make him a Swansea scout?

Will have a nose at other clubs this week

    What an effort this is!

Great stuff so far, here are a couple of improvements from my home country.

Central Coast Mariners General Improvements and Changes

Assistant Manager is Nick Montgomery, not Ivan Jolic
Ray Junna is a coach and should fill the 5th slot.
David McGinnis is a physio and should fill the 3rd slot.
Chairman is Michael Charlesworth, not Peter Turnbull.

Stephen Mallon should have 18 acceleration and 16 pace, 10 agility and 9 balance. He is also an AML.
Matthew Millar is a DM/AMR and should have 13 passing and 12 dribbling as well as 13 acceleration. He is arranged to go to Newcastle.
Joshua Nisbet is an AMC, not DMC.
Charles M’Bombwa is a D/MR and should have around 15 for pace and acceleration.
Andrew Hoole is an AMRC and should be an expert free kick taker.
Michael McGlinchey should have 15 passing, not 8.
Mario Shabow should have an increased potential ability of 120.
Alec Vinci is a DRLC, not STC.
Lewis Miller does not exist and should be replaced with Jordan Smylie, who is a FC.
    Jake McGing is a D/MRC.
Tommy Oar should have 15 passing.
Melling is not listed on loan and should have general increases of 3-5 in passing, tackling, strength, aggression, creativity, flair, dribbling, decisions, bravery, technique and should have 20 in long shots.
Aiden O’Neill is a DMC, not MC.
Connor Pain should have 14 acceleration and 16 pace.

    Other major suggestions
Heidelberg United, Sydney Olympic and Canberra FC are all non-league teams, not A-League teams.
Kenny Athiu is now permanently at the Melbourne Victory.
Sarpreet Singh should have a higher potential ability.

No Mariners players should be listed for loan right now.

I think Kane is doing well at Doncaster, got a few goals/assists and has been getting good reviews. Gerrard also picked him out as a player with a bright future.

Nice one - my point was more around Curtis Jones far closer to first team than him

    Glad he's doing well though

    Some notes on Stoke:

Ibrahim Afellay has now been released by the club. I've no idea if he still has a knee injury that he'd sustained in pre-season.
Sam Clucas has been playing LB since Pieters went out on loan. Not sure if you want to add 15 for defence back in?
James McClean is no longer injured if the 2 month injury is set in the DB. I think there had been one in the last release.
Tom Ince - Has been playing as number 10 when Jones plays the diamond formation. Could be worth adding 15 for central?
Tyrese Campbell - Finishing of 9 is a bit low for his ability. Impressed in FA Cup with a brace against Shrewsbury who have taken him on loan. He's got two goals for them already.
Josef Bursik - Now on loan at AFC Telford until EOS, not Hednesford.

There's space in the squad for 6 players, so it could be worth promoting a few? I'd suggest Waddington, Gyollai, Jarvis, Jennings, Dunwoody and Toure from the U23's. Do the rest need a FUT setting up?

    U23's:
Rachid Balde is on loan at Curzon Ashton until EOS.
Mate Deczki is on loan at Hednesford until EOS.

    Backroom staff:
Dave Carolan, Kevin Phillips and Mark Sale all left with Gary Rowett.
Joaquin Gomez and Jared Roberts-Smith have both come in with Jones.

Got many loans in? You need to leave room for those too.

The rest haven't got future setting up (like all clubs) unless they are prospects (-1, -2, decent PA, underage international). If some are let us know

Fair enough, wasn't sure what the crack was with future transfers anymore.

Lots of the guys in the U23 sides are filler so transferring them all to the main side doesn't make any sense anymore. n00b.

In Stoke's case though, the U23's are probably no worse than the first team

Jones has a lot of potential in the editor so he should turn into a very good player. He has some random attrributes though so will look a bit different in each save. If you think he's closer to the first team though could give his CA a little boost.

I think when Clucas has defender as part of his position i've seen the AI playing him at CB

    Ah well that's their problem
