    Fantastic away win against Ajax.

The lost return game is irrelevant

Thought youíd be happy with that one. Wish I could of had a few of those goals in last years Europa Final!

  3. PL: Chelsea 4-2 Southampton

Moise Kean was back from injury and it didn't take him too long to get back to business, Southampton had taken the lead but the Italian struck a hat-trick to turn the game round before Edwards sealed the game, making it 4-1. Southampton did grab another consolation goal but the game was never really in doubt after Moise had waved his magic.

    PL: Chelsea 0-4 Tottenham

Chelsea had an absolute horror show in front of their home fans as they capitulated to a 4-0 defeat to their London rivals. Nemiss Harry Kane got a couple before Rose and Stark wrapped things up. After seeing the home fans leave early Mr. Abramovich had some harsh words for the manager and the team in the changing rooms.

    CLG1: Chelsea 0-0 Copenhagen

After their weekend humiliation Chelsea made wholesale changes for their Champions League match, it did bring a clean sheet but not a victory, however they are still on course for the next round.

    PL: Chelsea 2-2 Everton

Chelsea were looking to win the home fans back over and after 12 minutes when Marin headed them in front it looked like they may return to winning ways. Besic equalised for The Toffees after half an hour but Tonali had the home side back in front before half time with his first goal for the club. As the 2nd half went on the visitors pushed and pushed for a goal but things weren't quite falling their way, until in the 90th minute they finally broke the Chelsea defence and Richarlison grabbed them a great point on the road.

    CLG1: Chelsea 2-0 Galatasaray

Back in the Champions League and Chelsea sealed a place in round 2, getting revenge on their Turkish opponents in the process. Gunes scored from the penalty spot after Ozbir was sent off and Edwards sealed the points shortly after.

    PL: Chelsea 4-3 Burnley

With some mixed results in a month purely of home matches Chelsea wanted to finish the month strong against Burnely. Chris Wood had put the visitors in front after 18 minutes but the lead was short lived as Curtis Jones struck his 1st Chelsea goal 10 minutes later. Just before half time it was Burnley who re-took the lead as Vydra got him self on the score-sheet, but 5 minutes after the break Cheslea were level once more though top-scorer Kean. With 11 minutes remaining Brian Brobbey powered Chelsea into the lead for the first time but the dramatic game wasn't quite over as Vydra struck again to make it 3-3 with 4 minutes remaining. It wasn't to be Burnely's day though and in the 90th minute the Young Player of the Month for October Moise Kean hit the winner to give Cheslea the points from a frantic game.

October had been mixed for Chelsea, despite qualifying from the Champions League group and somewhat recovering since their drubbing by Tottenham, they were 7th in the table and not too far off the pace at the top with a game in hand.

Yea my defence could be better

Yep that dross in my reserve squad is coming out to play!

  8. Mid-Season Punishment

The FA have now opened voting for Chelsea's mid-season punishment, you have until the end of December until polling closes:

    Been Here Too Long...

Chelsea must transfer list and sell 3 of their 4 players who have been here since before this season (Sterling, Lafont, Brobbey and Woodburn) in the January Transfer Window. Failure to sell 3 players still means they cannot be fielded and must be put into the reserves.

    Send Him Back...

Chelsea must terminate Chong's loan and send him back to Manchester United immediately. Also Chelsea will be banned from making any more loan signings while this manager is in charge.

    Finding a New Vardy?

Chelsea must sign an under 21 player from non-league and field him every game he is match-fit (over 90%), as long as not suspended. He must play at least the first 70 minutes of every match and can only be substituted before that time if injured.

    >>>VOTE NOW<<<

    November Results:

LCR3: Sheffield United 1-3 Chelsea (Woodburn, Jones, Brobbey)
    PL: Bournemouth 1-3 Chelsea (Marin(3))
    CLG1: Barcelona 3-0 Chelsea
PL: Chelsea 2-1 Man City (Chong, Kean)
PL: Birmingham 0-3 Chelsea (Jones(2), Chong)
    CLG2: Chelsea 1-3 Man City (Gunes(p))
PL: Chelsea 2-0 Watford (Marin, Kean)

November had been a very good month for Chelsea on the pitch as they had taken maximum points in the league which had shot them all the way up to 2nd place in the table, there was also progress to the League Cup 4th round where they would travel to Wigan. The Champions League had been the month's only downside, after the reserves showed little in a meaningless game against Barcelona the draw for group 2 was more than a little tricky with Braga, Dortmund and Man City and the campaign had not started well with a home defeat to City. There was some recognition for Chelsea's league form as the manager claimed his first ever Manager of the Month award and Chong who had hit his best form of the season so far was awarded Young Player of the Month.

Chong on loan doing well. Not expected that.

Can you try once more and buy him? Probably they won't accept any bids, though.

But a good start to the season!

Yea I was going to try again at the end of the season, hopefully he has Cheslea as a preferred club now so would be open to moving to a rival as well

Only 1 game gone, so joint bottom with points, I didn't think you could draw another club from your own nation so soon!

That must be it. As you say, there would be no way to avoid it. But I think I have seen it at an earlier stage as well.

  16. LCR4: Wigan 3-5 Chelsea

December started with a chaotic match in the League Cup as Chelsea just about got the better of their Championship opponents, they did have to come from behind twice though and deal with playing 60 minutes of the game with 10 men after Jordan Houston saw red. Brobbey (2), Woodburn, Edwards and Kane hit the goals for the Premier League side.

    PL: Arsenal 1-2 Chelsea

Chelsea kept pace with Spurs at top of the table with a cracking away victory in their London derby against Arsenal. Oliver Skipp had struck a cracker from long range to give The Blues the lead with his first goal for the club and they were 2 up before half time as Marin headed in after 43 minutes. Arsenal did try and fight a comeback in the second half and despite getting back into the game making it 2-1 they didn't do enough to get back on level terms.

    CLG2: Dortmund 2-0 Chelsea

With defeat in Germany it will now be a mountain to climb for Chelsea to make the Champions League Quarter Finals as they are pointless from their first 2 group games. For Dortmund it was a bit of revenge for those 2 Europa League Semi Final defeats over the previous 2 seasons.

    PL: Chelsea 1-1 Crystal Palace

Chelsea went into the game expecting a home win as they looked to close in on top spot and when Kean struck after 28 minutes it was looking good. However just 2 minutes later Palace were level and managed to hold out for the point and it was a disappointing day for the home side.

    LCQF: Sunderland 1-1 Chelsea

Chelsea fielded a fairly strong side away to Championship side Sunderland, looking for a Semi Final place against Manchester United. The game looked ominous for Sunderland when Irving gave Chelsea the lead after some poor defending with just 2 minutes on the clock. Many may have expected the Premier League side to go and kill the game off but they couldn't and the longer the game went on the more Sunderland grew into it, then with 20 minutes to play Hutchinson equalised for The Mackems and took the game to a penalty shootout! It was to be a Cup upset as both Irving and Kelly missed their kicks for Chelsea and Sunderland made no mistakes from the spot and like that Chelsea's League Cup run was over.

    PL: Chelsea 1-0 Leicester

After the mid-week disappointment Chelsea did manage to get back to winning ways in the league although it was a scrappy encounter. It was prolific striker Kean with the only goal of the game.

    PL: Chelsea 2-2 Wolves

Despite twice taking the lead Chelsea suffered another draw at home in game they should have won and after a great November momentum was fading quickly. Brobbey and Jones both hit goals for the home side.

    PL: Liverpool 3-2 Chelsea

Chelsea visited the champions and despite the scoreline they never were really in the game. Mane and Henderson had put Liverpool 2 up before former Liverpool youngster Herbie Kane got Chelsea back in it. They weren't in the game for long however as Keita sealed the points for The Reds. Kean added to his season tally with a late consolation goal for the Londoners.

    PL: Brentford 3-0 Chelsea

A bad December turned into a horrific month at the end as Chelsea were humbled by Premiership new boys Brentford. To be honest they were their own worst enemy as they were down to 9 men after 25 minutes with both Houston and Wilson sent off. Once down to 9 Brentford picked them off with ease and 3 second half goals sent Chelsea to a morale crushing defeat and now it could be some work picking up this young side in the New Year.

At the start of December Chelsea would have been looking to take top spot with their games in hand, however as we end the month they are down in 6th and now some way off the leaders. The League Cup exit and poor start to the Champions League stage have made it a fairly miserable Christmas for all involved with the club.

At the mid-point of the season it was obvious who Chelsea's star man was looking at all the stats but a big shout out should also go to Dujon Sterling for his defensive work and ability to create goals from right back. Chelsea's main issue seems to be in the centre of defence where they lack experience and although talented their 2 centre backs have only delivered average performances this season on the pitch.

Iíll have to go all out for the FA Cup but get a bad draw and that hope could go quick, could be a dull second half of season.

I totally forgot heíd had the first red card and just warned him twice, oops.

A mixture of inexperience in the squad and also fatigue with a lot of games I think were the man issues. Need a good win and some confidence and quick now

  22. After the voting was closed for Chelseaís mid-season punishment they were forced to send Chong back to Manchester United and now going forward as long as the current manager is in charge they will not be allowed to loan anymore players. Also leaving the club were Payet for £2.2 million to Brest, van der Wiel joined Doncaster for free and Lossl also left on a free to Brentford. After the outgoings Chelsea decided to spend all their remaining transfer budget to try add some needed quality to the side:

Brahim Diaz Ė Diaz has come in for £40 million and will be the man to replace Chong in the attacking midfield role, with a big price tag comes big expectations.

Benoit Badiashile Ė With Chelsea struggling at centre half, they hope Benoit can help tighten things up at the back and was bought in for £7.75 million. Being left-footed could also help with the balance of the side.

    January Results:

FAR3: Bristol City 0-2 Chelsea (Kane, Brobbey)
PL: Chelsea 2-0 Man United (Irving, Skipp)
PL: Chelsea 2-0 West Ham (Jones, Skipp)
PL: Brighton 3-2 Chelsea (Marin, Edwards) Ė Jones S/O
    FAR4: Tottenham 1-2 Chelsea (Brobbey, Kean) Ė Tonali S/O
PL: West Ham 0-1 Chelsea (Jones)
    PL: Tottenham 4-1 Cheslea (Kean)

January saw Chelsea return to some form on the pitch, despite the month ending with another drubbing in the league by Spurs they climbed one place to 5th. The FA Cup had produced their best performance of the month with a great away win against Spurs with just 10 men. Next up in the FA Cup would be a home tie against Championship side Stoke.

Still not good. Two more losses.

Chong will be missed, of course, but Diaz should be more than adequate to replace him.

With good reason, too. Soon after your 1-2 win they demolished you (4-1) in the League!
