    Lovely stuff Riise!

Well pleased with my first season

Plenty of 1st team games and would rather play and hone my skills than move and be on bench or not play

Intersting to see if I'll be at Brackley at start of season and throughout!

Yep, think big moves came too early for some.

The Scotland manager seems to think he's alright!

Happy to provide screenshots of 'other stuff' if you want btw, guys.

Top scorers in the league but woeful at the back. Next season will be better but they could use a DM to protect the back line...

Prior to the start of the 2019/20 season , two players left Brackley on permanent deals. One we already knew about, the other was perhaps expected. There was also a surprise loan deal...

    • samsami, Brackley Town to Cardiff City, 20,000
    • trunky, Brackley Town to Bristol City, 300,000
    • AJ, Crewe Alexandra to Gloucester City, Loan

Brackley have started the season much better than they did the last, occupying 5th place. But with the top four threatening to get away from them, they'll have to improve even more in the second half of the season if they are to avoid disappointment for the second season running.
    Spoiler!

Let's see how our 19 youngsters have fared between June and December!

adnams - Bolton Wanderers, League One
Bolton's relegation seems to have been a positive for the English striker, already making more appearances (21) and scoring more goals (six) than he did in the whole of last season. He was named League One Young Player of the Month after a particularly successful September in which he scored four times in addition to contributing one assist. Now valued at 950,000, he looks to be developing into a fine player. Bolton are looking to bounce back straight away, sitting two points from the playoff places.
    Spoiler!

    AJ - Gloucester City, Non-League
Finding gametime at Crewe hard to come by, AJ headed to non-league Gloucester City on a season-long loan - becoming the first of the bunch to dip below Brackley. He's looking a class apart at this level, though, so it's surely a matter of time before he becomes a regular in the football league. Averaging 8.00, he's been named man of the match in six of his 21 games, scoring twice.
    Spoiler!

AtomicAnt - Brackley Town, National League North
Still at Brackley, AtomicAnt continues to be an important player for The Saints, being directly involved in nine goals in his 21 appearances so far this season. The attacking midfielder is yet to miss a single day of training through injury, proving to be a reliable player for manager Kevin Wilkin.
    Spoiler!

CMCZ - Brackley Town, National League North
The Dutch defender has continued where he left off last season, racking up 24 appearances so far, and posting an improved average rating of 7.21. He's also scored his first senior goal, heading Brackley ahead against Gainsborough Trinity in the FA Cup Qualifying Round.
    Spoiler!

Craig Forrest - Brackley Town, National League North
Canadian U21 international Craig Forrest is still struggling to nail down the #1 goalkeeper spot, managing just six appearances in the first half of the season, in which he's conceded nine goals. With first-choice 'keeper Rory McCreesh facing a four-match ban to start 2020, he has an opportunity to stake his claim once more.
    Spoiler!

    Dermotron - Hull City, Championship
The Irish striker's flurry of goals at the end of last season has seen him given more responsibility this season. He's started 24 games and his 12 league goals are enough to see him sit 12th in the scoring charts. With Hull hovering above the relegation zone in 18th, Dermotron was selected for The Tigers may find themselves leaning on Dermotron's goals to save them once more. Hull's predicament hasn't prevented him from being called up by Ireland U21s, though - he debuted for them in August, scoring the consolation goal in a 2-1 defeat, before scoring both of the goals in a 2-2 draw with Slovakia four days later.
    Spoiler!

drkshadow1 - Brackley Town, National League North
Continuing to find his route to the Brackley first team unimpeded, English winger drkshadow1 has racked up 26 appearances in the first of of the season. While he might have liked to have scored more than just the two goals, he can rest assured of his place in the side for the remainder of the season.
    Spoiler!

    dweatherston11 - Cardiff City, Championship
Picked again by Alex McLeish to start in Scotland's next friendly against Romania, dweatherston11 scored his first international goal after 26 minutes, with the game's only shot, before being replaced just before the hour by Oliver McBurnie. His lack of action for Cardiff seems to have taken its toll though, with the forward being omitted from the national squad for the next three friendlies as he remains consigned to The Bluebirds' reserves. Sitting 20th in the Championship, they may suffer the indignity of back-to-back relegation if they're not careful.
    Spoiler!

ebfatz - Burton Albion, League One
After a calf injury saw him miss the first month of the season, the English-Nigerian striker continues to be invaluable from the bench for Burton - five starts and eight substitute appearances have yielded five goals so far. The Brewers are sitting relatively comfortably in the league, so he'll be looking to nail down a starting place as the season progresses.
    Spoiler!

Erkifino - Brackley Town, National League North
A solitary substitute appearance obviously hasn't satisfied Erkifino, who is still unhappy with his lack of first team action. He twisted his knee in training, which kept him out for most of September, but that's unlikely to have held him back too much - manager Kevin Wilkin simply doesn't fancy the Irishman.
    Spoiler!

    evesham - Liverpool, Premier League
The Algerian-English defender finally made his Premier League debut, replacing Dejan Lovren with Liverpool leading 3-2 at the bet365 stadium - unfortunately The Potters equalised to deny him a win in his first game. He's seen a little more action in the Champions League, replacing Nathaniel Clyne in the final minute of a win over Porto, before playing the full 90 minutes (and assisting a Fabinho goal) in another win over Viktoria Plzen, with progress from the first group stage already secured. He's also started three domestic cup games, as The Reds have progressed to the FA Cup 5th Round and EFL Cup Semi Final. Liverpool sit atop the Premier League table again, but with Chelsea breathing down their necks.
    Spoiler!

    generalsmuts - Cardiff City, Championship
After a season on the sidelines, generalsmuts finally made his Cardiff debut, but perhaps disappointingly has only racked up four appearances so far. He did manage a goal in one of his starts - the equaliser in a 2-2 draw away at Nottingham Forest in a performance that later saw him named man of the match. He'll undoubtedly be looking to make more of an impression in the centre of The Bluebirds' midfield in the remainder of the season, hopefully helping them to avoid being dragged into another relegation battle.
    Spoiler!

mikecoxon - AFC Fylde, National League
The English defender-cum-winger has failed to capitalise on last season's five appearances and is yet to feature in the 2019/20 season. His role in the Fylde squad is a perplexing one - he's performed adequately in his 13 appearances for the reserves, but his club have made him available for loan, despite the fact they're cemented in mid-table.
    Spoiler!

Redknapp69 - Brackley Town, National League North
Perhaps surprisingly, the Welsh midfielder remains at Brackley. Aston Villa's interest has cooled, but Stoke City scouts have been spotted at St. James Park, allegedly to watch Redknapp69. He's performed admirably in his 27 games - he might be disappointed with his solitary goal but a ludicrous 17 assists have seen him at the heart of most of Brackley's highlights.
    Spoiler!

riise - Tottenham Hotspur, Premier League
English-Welsh winger riise continues to wait for his first taste of Premier League action, but he has made two appearances for the Spurs first team this season - emerging from the bench to replace the injured Georges-Kevin N'Koudou in a 3-0 defeat away at Red Bull Salzburg and playing 80 minutes in an embarrassing 1-0 home defeat to League One Rotherham United in the EFL Cup 3rd Round. His performances for the reserves haven't been anything special, so he may be waiting a while for his next opportunity, especially with his side 3rd in the Premier League, trying to force themselves into a title race.
    Spoiler!

    samsami - Cardiff City, Championship
After becoming the third (and best paid - 1,200 per week) of the Cardiff contingent, the Dutch midfielder has featured the most of the trio, with five appearances. He's managed an assist in that time, and will be looking to force himself into contention in the second half of the season, having just recovered from a groin strain that cost him a month of his season. As mentioned, Cardiff face a battle to avoid a second relegation in as many seasons.
    Spoiler!

    Spectral - Cagliari, Serie A
Turkish winger Spectral's first full season in Italy has started promisingly enough - he's already made twice as many appearances than he managed in the second half of last season. While his performances have been relatively steady, he's not quite making his presence felt in the form of goals and assists - something he'll be looking to improve upon in the spring. Cagliari are 14th, having won only five of their 17 games, so could do with him scoring a few as they look to avoid falling through the trap door.
    Spoiler!

    SteveHarle - Fulham, Premier League
The English-Maltese attacking midfielder may well be regretting his move to west London - he's not had a sniff this season, and has only featured in three reserve games. It seems Fulham don't know what to do with him, so have listed him for loan again. With The Cottagers sitting in the Premier League relegation zone, they perhaps don't quite trust him enough yet.
    Spoiler!

    trunky - Bristol City, Championship
The Icelandic powerhouse finally got the move that looked inevitable from day one, with Bristol City taking a chance on him and bumping his wages up to 875 per week. He's only been afforded the one first team game for The Robins, but his increased profile was enough for Iceland manager Erik Hamren to give him his international debut, fielding him from the start at left-back in a 4-0 win over San Marino in a Euro 2020 qualifier. He went on to gain two more full caps, both from the bench, as Iceland unfortunately failed to qualify for the tournament proper. Bristol City are sat in 11th, so he'll be hoping to be involved in their playoff push.

They seem to be giving everyone except you a go in left midfield - Ryan Sessegnon has, rightly, played the majority of the games but a Romanian fella called Vlad Mihalcea (85,000 from Clinceni) has managed six appearances and they just bought Charly Musonda from Chelsea and instantly started him. You've got no chance in the middle, they play two DMCs, no MCs or AMCs.

    Just caught up on this.

That first update is me peaking far too early. 7 goals in 1 start is something I will live off for some time!!

Not going too badly since. I need to have more impact when I start though.

They have Ryan Sessegnon and Charly Musonda, don't play an AMC and they sign me, a left sided creative AMC who is allergic to tackling.... top thinking there lads, cheers

Brackley didn't manage to kick on and mount a promotion challenge, ending up in 6th, eight points from promotion. That was despite Danny Hylton scoring a handy 33 goals in 42 games, to finish as the league's top scorer.
    Spoiler!

With no transfer news to report from January-June, all that's left to do is jump in and see how we got on in the second half of the 2019/20 season...

adnams - Bolton Wanderers, League One
The English striker ended up with an impressive 16 goals from his 42 appearances (17 of them from the bench) - only one of the 19 players managed to score more this season. He was named EFL League One Young Player of the Month for the second time in January, as Bolton accelerated their playoff push. Alas, they would eventually fall agonisingly short, finishing in 7th place, three points from the final playoff spot.
    Spoiler!

    AJ - Gloucester City, Non-League
Dutch defender AJ ended up playing 39 games for non-league Gloucester, being named man of the match in a ludicrous 11 of them. After scoring four goals and averaging 8.00, he'll be looking to kick on at Crewe next season, with The Alex having been relegated to the National League after finishing rock bottom of League Two with just 28 points.
    Spoiler!

AtomicAnt - Brackley Town, National League North
AtomicAnt continued his fine form for Brackley, ending up with eight goals and 13 assists from 37 appearances. It's puzzling that he's not piqued the interest of clubs higher up the ladder, but he's happy being an integral part of Kevin Wilkin's side.
    Spoiler!

CMCZ - Brackley Town, National League North
CMCZ continued to be a solid, reliable presence in the Brackley backline, going on to make 40 appearances, in which he averaged 7.15. Settled in Northamptonshire, the Dutchman is keen to extend his contract, despite his current deal running to 2024.
    Spoiler!

Craig Forrest - Brackley Town, National League North
Kevin Wilkin continues to give all of his goalkeepers a decent amount of chances to impress, with nobody nailing down the #1 spot. This led to Craig Forrest making a total of 18 appearances, in which he conceded 27 goals - he was somewhat more impressive in his reserve appearances, where he conceded only 12 in 22. Unfortunately, he continues to be omitted from the Canada U21 squad.
    Spoiler!

    Dermotron - Hull City, Championship
The Irish striker continued his upward trajectory, firmly cementing his place in Hull's frontline. He ended up with 22 goals from his 45 appearances as he guided The Tigers to a relatively comfortable 15th-placed finish. Three goals in an impressive February saw him named EFL Championship Young Player of the Month.
    Spoiler!

drkshadow1 - Brackley Town, National League North
Another one who has established himself as a vital cog in the Brackley machine, the English attacking midfielder made 42 appearances, which yielded three goals and 11 assists. He's happy to stay at the club, but time will tell whether he has his head turned in the near future.
    Spoiler!

    dweatherston11 - Cardiff City, Championship
Cardiff survived quite comfortably in the end, but it had little to do with the Scottish forward as he ended up making just two substitute appearances - one in the league and one in The Bluebirds' 3-0 FA Cup Quarter Final defeat to evesham's Liverpool. He remained absent from the Scotland squad in their only game since the last update and it seems he's not too sure about his future in south Wales.
    Spoiler!

ebfatz - Burton Albion, League One
ebfatz seems to have fallen out of favour at Burton as he went on to make just one start and four substitute appearances in the second half of the season, scoring no further goals. Striker Liam Boyce is leaving The Brewers this summer, so the English-Nigerian striker will hope that opens a place up for him. It was mid-table obscurity for Burton, who finished 13th.
    Spoiler!

Erkifino - Brackley Town, National League North
Unfortunately, pretty much nothing to report on the Irish defensive midfielder, who made no appearances since the last update. He remains unhappy with the situation, with Brackley recognising that and listing him for loan. Though surely everyone would agree they'd be better off cutting ties with Erkifino altogether.
    Spoiler!

    evesham - Liverpool, Premier League
Algerian-English defender evesham found himself afforded more opportunities in the second half of the season, ending up with 16 appearances (12 starts). He bagged himself an EFL Cup winners' medal as an unused substitute in the 3-2 victory over Man City in the final, and he was unlucky to miss out on an FA Cup winners' medal, having played 90 minutes in the semi-final but failing to make the matchday squad for Liverpool's 1-0 over riise's Spurs. And he also missed out on a league winners' medal, his seven appearances not being enough to earn him one. He'll hope to be more involved in The Reds' successes next year as they look to become a dominant force in the English game.
    Spoiler!

    generalsmuts - Cardiff City, Championship
Cardiff seems to be the place where Brackley youngsters go to die - generalsmuts didn't make a single appearance since the last update and has been listed for loan. Like dweatherston11, he doesn't seem sure his future lies with The Bluebirds.
    Spoiler!

mikecoxon - AFC Fylde, National League
English winger mikecoxon managed a 7.16 average rating across 19 appearances... for Fylde's reserves. That's right, somehow he still can't get a look-in for a side that ended up 16th in the National League. He remains available for loan, but any potential suitors don't exactly have much footage of him to go off.
    Spoiler!

Redknapp69 - Brackley Town, National League North
Inevitably, Welsh midfielder Redknapp69's assist output slowed down, but he still ended up with 23, as well as three goals, from 43 appearances. Outside interest in him seems to have once again cooled, but he's happy enough at Brackley and is keen to extend his contract.
    Spoiler!

riise - Tottenham Hotspur, Premier League
English-Welsh winger riise only made one more appearance in the season, but it was an important one as he finally made his Premier League debut, emerging from the bench to replace an injured Harry Kane in a 2-1 defeat at West Ham. Needless to say then that, like evesham, he also wasn't involved in the FA Cup Final squad, so he missed out on a runner-up medal. With Son Heung-Min occupying his favoured position, riise will likely continue to find gametime hard to come by, but he appears to be happy enough for now.
    Spoiler!

    samsami - Cardiff City, Championship
Just a couple of substitute appearances in the second half of the season ensure that all three of the Cardiff trio had a pretty miserable time of it. That said, the Dutch midfielder is more frequently involved in matchday squads than his mate dweatherston11 and generalsmuts, so he's the happier of the three.
    Spoiler!

    Spectral - Cagliari, Serie A
Turkish winger Spectral doubled up his starts since the last update, his total of 24 meant that the move to Serie A was a good choice. He found his shooting boots in the spring, too - his three goals helped Cagliari to finish safely in 12th place. He's certainly happy in Italy and will be looking to make the right-midfield spot his own next season.
    Spoiler!

    SteveHarle - Fulham, Premier League
It may come as absolutely no surprise that the English-Maltese winger didn't make any first team appearances this season. He only managed four more reserve appearances, but did score a goal. He remains available for loan but, bizarrely, doesn't seem at all upset about his situation. With Fulham again scraping survival in 17th place, SteveHarle may continue to struggle for games.
    Spoiler!

    trunky - Bristol City, Championship
The move to Bristol City looked a good one on the face of it for the Icelandic international defender, but a disappointing season saw him play just twice. He also got himself another international cap, coming off the bench in a 3-0 defeat to Austria. The Robins finished comfortably in 14th in the Championship, so trunky will have another crack at trying to get some gametime in the second tier.
