I am quite indifferent to either, but you're probably right: just looking in the Ed, Rangers have more money and better facilities.
Along with Brazil, I think Scotland is the best place to play this challenge - the least resistence in the league, and potentially a large number of games each season. France could be another good choice too.

Yeah Scotland is probably one of the best options especially if you start with either Rangers or Celtic, I was debating doing it with Rangers and brining Defoe to the club 18 years earlier than IRL but I'd never managed Samba for any extended period of time so fancied starting Millwall, only problem is it's a much tougher league in England, even more so if you're not a Utd or Arsenal to start with.

France is a good shout too as it does offer a League Cup as well, and after a few years you can seriously be challenging in Europe.

Yeah. That extra cup could come in very handy. Especially against lesser opponents in early rounds.

Completed the first season, Papa is doing okay for a kid.
For the record, won the league (2 draws [Aberdeen 0-0 A, Rangers 1-1 H], 1 defeat [1-2 Dunfermline A]), won the Scottish Cup. League Cup semi-final (2-3 Dundee), 3rd in CL 1st Group Phase (group with Roma and LIverpool), UEFA Cup semi-final (Barcelona 2-2, 1-2).
And the SuperGreeks... to keep Papadopoulos company we currently have Tobros, Andrielos, Doukas and Kalogeras. Kourtoglou and Stolios are potential summer transfers.

Bugger of an injury eb, hopefully he's not too injury prone, Samba's just picked up a three week injury on my save too

Great first season Alan and at 18 only likely to get better.

Ok, so I might do this one, have downloaded a tactic, as I am not good with wibwob, so lets see how it goes.

Have gone Coritiba who start in Serie B in Brazil in the lastest update. My new signing in the door from the second tier in Argentina, didn't screenshot before his first game, but it was a fine start, and something to build on I'm sure!

Go at the rate of 5 goals a game and you could break it in record time!

I think that Hurtado must have had his 1000th goal disallowed for offside.
As Sir Alex would have said, "I think the lad was born offside"

Season 1 done, and a relative success, although the strike rate will need to improve. Still 18, so a solid start.

We have won promotion, but several bids have come in for Godoy, and it has unsettled him, so hopefully we can sort that out with a solid start to next season.

Decent start indeed, keeping hold of him maybe tricky though, make sure you've got him tied down!

He's on a deal till 2030, so hopefully he will be happy at some point in the next 9 years to get him to extend!

Season 2 completed, and a better season for our pal Papa. He had a bit of a tough time later in the season, but was incredible througfh until February.
The team completed the domestic treble, losing twice and drawing once in the league. The CL campaign came to an end in the QF with defeat on penatlies to eventual winners Leverkusen.
At this rate we are looking at season 13 for the holy grail of 1000 goals, but there is sure to be an injury or two to scuper this. So far Alex has only missed 4 games through injury (plus a couple of matches I have left him out as he has been tired)

SuperGreeks all got called up to the Greece Olympic squad in 2004 which was a bit awkward.

Well, season 2 down and my unhappy striker had a solid campaign. Nothing absolutely spectacular, but better than a goal a game.

Unfortunately our cup run was non existent, but we have just won the Serie A title, so it will be plenty games in season 3.

His stock is rising, but his stats are worryingly stagnant, so we will see if it improves in season 3.

Ok, so it was dilemma time at Coritiba. Godoy's stats were stagnant, his record was decent, but at this rate he would be 34/35 by the time I get close.

Then my academy produced what looked like something special, so it was a decision to be made at the start of season 3, if I would continue with Godoy, or go with the new kid from the academy, Silvinho.

Find out what happened in the next update after season 3.

It's got a bit silly now. The aside from the 1,000 goal challenge is to field a team of Greeks. Managed it on 5/2/05. I think this little side project might be getting in the way of the ultimate challenge; need to re-focus...
