Tallan Martin has 59 goals in 88 games I've just finished 8th, first time missing the playoffs after previously finishing 5th and 4th.

Finished the first full season in which Vasco played 91 games. We won the State Championship, Copa Libertadores and Copa Sud Americana, but were not invited to the Brazilian Cup and, for the second season running, won the Seriť A league, but then failed in the playoffs. We also lost to Barcelona in the World Club final, despite leading for 44 minutes.

Our hero played in 68 of the games and scored a whopping 91 goals. That is a total of 118 for Vasco, not bad for a guy who is still only 18 !

I'm not sure that I can squeeze many more games out of him. Perhaps if I can get the Venzuela international job I could not select him which might make him available for another 4 or 5 games. Even so, I think there is a 100 goal season in his boots.

For next season, we already have a couple of big arrivals in Rafina from Barcelona and Joel Campbell from Arsenal. I hope that they might help with the supply to Hurtado, although I really need to find a way for him to play solo up front.

in next seasons to come, Im sure he can bag more goals.
maybe it has something to do with scout ratings, where the player is more developed

Rooney's goal scoring is insane, especially when he is up against top defenders most games.

A third consecutive domestic treble. Another 90th minute goal saw me knocked out of the CL and the semi-final stage. Papa with his best season so far despite a broken toe keeping him out for 4 games in October/November.

Alright, let's give this one a go.

My weapon of choice: Fernando Torres

Reason: I just start at Atletico Madrid, so I don't have to buy him.
Spain has enough games to play to average 60+ goals a year.
    Should be doable, right?

Now, an ethical dilemma presents itself: to WibWob, or not to WibWob?
I'm leaning heavily to non-WibWob, because WibWob is just too good.
Even a not-very-experienced WibWobber like myself just wins La Liga with bloody Tenerife in my first season.
(Granted, that statement is based on just one experiment, but still.)

Another dilemma: do I neglect my club and put every player on Long Shots: No?
If I have AMCs shooting from far away, Torres might score less.
We need the AMCs (and related positions) to pass the ball to our one SC.
But the team might perform worse if I don't let my guys do what they're good at.

Sorry, Atleti. Torres to 1000 is the goal here, not Atleti FTW. Atleti FTW is only secondary.

    Okay, let's do this.

(Ref: I run a .60 ODB, heavily modded, though I believe I haven't touched Torres at all).

I remember Lussenhof's database here. His comprehensive edited database would make Rooney killer.
However, this .6.8 sufficient for him to shine

I believe Torres will be a great striker, even in .60

Wow, Rooney's gonna make it before he's 30.
When he makes it, just sell him and see if you can get Samba to 1000 as well with him as lone striker.
    Should be doable.

    And it would be sick.

Let's do a challenge, but let's not just do it.
    Let's do it twice.
    With two players.
    At the same time.
    At the same club.

I honestly didnt think it that way.
I was going to do this challenge just because I know Rooney would hit this challenge well, seeing he's only 15 when the game starts, but I'm a fan of Samba since early days, so I decided to make both of them my strikers in this challenge. Now, Im interested in your challenge. LoL

anyway, 9th season. disappointing season for Rooney and a good comeback for Samba.
Injuries and bans really hold them.
My squad retirement also play significant roles this season. Beckham as my main passer suddenly retired at the age of 33.

    Spoiler!

5 seasons done. Another treble in Scotland, and finally a CL win. Still looking at hitting 1,000 in the 13th season.

    GO GO GO

    10th season.
Rooney is back on track. I believe, next season he will hit 1000 goals.
If that happens, I will switch Rooney and Samba's position to see where that would lead him.
Yet another disappointing season from Samba.
I think one of the reason for his failinf to score is I'm too early to play youngsters. I dont know why but I prefer youngsters to play in the first team.
I think I will sign best midfielder for next season. who knows.

    Spoiler!

Thanks. I knew that. I did, honest. It's just that when you get a bit older you forget stuff. Not important stuff like putting on your trousers, or saying morning to the Wife, but small stuff. You also get distracted by the simplest of thin...oh...nice hat.
