You'll hopefully have a good time anyway getting in on a larger network game, it's definitely something to behold.

I agree, my perspective of network play, is playing the game to the next level from a solo save. I cant even get into a solo game anymore, as its not the same, and we all started somewhere in terms of playing network games, and after a while, it will be a doddle and you won't look back

I had a conversation with Ray a while back, how hard it is to get motivated to play a solo game, so for me, network play really is, going to the next level. We've all had our solo saves where we've won it all and done this and that, but playing against non AI, thats where its at

Last thing I want to do is rub people up the wrong way and break any gentlemen’s codes.

However are we allowed to use any other apps to helps us scout players?
Can we use all resources when giving player contracts with both buying and selling? Appearances, sell one fees, contract length etc?

No scout apps, but use everything at your disposal when signing players.

I thought no scout apps went without saying
but fair play for asking up front

I've never actually used the scout apps, but i thought you needed the save file in order to do so?

I could add that to the OP, will do so later.

The first session is always the slow one, so if you joined week 2 you aren't going to get the time that we do because 7 out of 8 will want to just get on with it....

I do plan to set a couple of these up but maybe after the server switch.

Something IRL came in between coming Sunday night and for the week after as well so I would miss the first two sessions of this game.

Means unless youve scouted the player....u cant see all his attributes properly...

Yeah it's sort of like you wouldn't know the full details of a player from the other side of the world or whatever as soon as you hear their name for the first time.

Doesn't everyone play with that on normally?
It's just the default setting and in 18 years I've never thought to change it, because it kind of made sense and also gave another reason to scout...

In honesty, I never have them masked, but totally get the concept, and would make a good challenge effect
