How do you define best ? Kahn and Buffon are exceptional, but of no use unless you want to manage Bayern or Juve, which I don't. Chiotis or Costanzo or Frey will sign for almost anyone and are therefore of much more use

I voted Frey - after buying him at the beginning of a game You forget about goalkeepers for 10 or more years. Buffon gets honorable mention. There was also one extraordinary GK in Argentina but I never managed to acquire him - Sebastian Seja (San Lorenzo).

@Lud are you talking about the 2020 update?

If so Alisson (Liverpool), Donnarumma (Milan) are the best Iíve had. Nubel (Bayern) also has amazing stats.

ODB - Frey, Costanzo, Chiotis will always serve you well.

No, I talk about original update. My problem with Frey is that he is unreliable. Especially in big games.. And somehow unconsistent. He can play 10 games with 7,8,9 and in CL 1/2 final and Final he will have 5,6 or 7 at best.
No doubt, he is good buy for 10+ years but you are always in concern with him.

That was in the league though wasn't it? Maybe Buffon's is all competitions.

Chris Woods went 1196 mins without conceding a goal with Rangers too in all competitions,
