    Exclamation Challenge 22 - Saint's Honour

Which Patron Saint will you choose to be?

    David

    Patrick

    Andrew

    What's this all about then?

This is sort of a new twist on an old challenge, this challenge comes with 3 seperate options. The Saint's Honour challenge will give you the option of starting the game with either Barnet or Accrington Stanley, then you will have to choose which Saint you will be representing and follow the rules closely below. The aim of the game is to play 6 seasons with either of the designated clubs following the strict instructions set out below. Which 'Saint' you take is solely your choice.

    The Rules

Formation - You are only permitted to use the following 4 default tactics - 4-4-2, 4-4-2 Attacking, 4-4-2 Diamond and 4-4-2 Defensive. No wib-wob, arrows can be added, team instructions/player instructions can be changed. This is a challenge about your manager ability against strict conditions, not about trying to win at all costs using cheat formations.

Players - Rules on players are set out at the start of each individual part, just remember that any players not of the nationality of the Saint you choose will incur penalty points on the 31st May of the first season if they are still in your squad.

Length - up to 6 seasons per challenge

Update - You can use either September 12 or Feb 13 (when released) update only

Screenshots - Screenshots of Cup finals/Team of the Seasons/Scoring 7+ goals to be posted if claiming points. Final League tables/Squads must be posted on the 31st May 20?? in game, notepad (print) of squad stats is also a must.

    Choose your Club

    Barnet or Accrington Stanley

I'm going to crack open a red bull, install Sept 12 update and get cracking

PS - Before anyone asks, Irish players can be from the Republic or Northern Ireland

Good to see the interest - I've chosen St David and Barnet, signed some interesting players and made quite abit of money. Not going to name players etc before i've finished though

Signing 20+ players took me about an hour to search through all the free Welsh players though.

"European Champions League - Quarter-finalists - 80pts" but no points for semi finalist?
If by the Second Year, you must have all players of the chosen Saint, if not Immediate Failure, then "Non-Nationality players in the squad at the 1st June (every year) - -1pt per player" is a bit redundant

cool challenge  just a few things to be looked at

Right - Very controversial being a Welshman but I'm gonna go for Scotland as my Saint and Barnet for the team (I'm thinking Edgar Davids must have joined them/now managing for a reason!)

    Are 2nd Nationalties allowed?

Also - if they do have a 2nd Nationality (Scotland) but have caps againt other Nationality, then can you sign them?

e.g - Scott McDonald - 2nd nationality is Scotland but he has a lot of Australia caps

Do we just play with the 'English' league? or can we have Ireland/Wales/Scotland running in the background?

I'd say Ireland prob have best players

But if you were gonna have a best XI then I would argue Wales would have it (but no depth behind it)

I choose Scottish as easier to find/search. (As I don't know how to use CM Scout or whatever you guys use) Have made a LOT of free signings and have 2.4m balance after selling players (started with -200k balance)

15th in league after about 5 games but only starting to get squad together

3rd round of cup which should bring a but of cash - just turned Leeds over

My first season was very hard, made about 2m in sales, had to bring in a lot of freebies and in the end I ended up finishing about 18th. Made some good bosman signings and spent 300k on one player in the summer, things are looking good for my second season and on course for a play-off finish.

Might be worth adding that second nationalities are allowed in the original post.

Won the play-offs in my second season, haven't accumulated many 'challenge' points so far but i'm building a decent squad with all the extra TV money. It's hard balancing wages against a capacity of 6,200 though.
