    Try this which another member suggested and seems to work well for Windows 10 as well

    Just installed this on windows 8.1 and encountered the issue with setup.exe hanging. Here is how to resolve.

    1. Browse to the disk contents by going to the drive letter where the disk is (either ISO or cd-rom).
    2. Right click on SETUP.EXE, go to Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab and choose Run this program in Windows XP (service pack 2) mode and tick the box "Run this program as an administrator".
    3. Double click on setup.exe
    4. If nothing happens, open up the task manager by right clicking on the task bar and choosing Task Manager or press control + shift + escape at the same time.
    5. Go to the Details tab on the task manager and sort by name. You are looking for SETUP.EXE. If there are multiple ones running then kill them all. Click on setup.exe in the list and press the delete key or the end task button to kill the process.
    6. Run setup.exe again as per step 3 - you only want one install process running.
    7. Back in the task manager, Right click on setup.exe and hit the Analyze Wait Chain option. This will tell you what is preventing the install from running. Find that process and kill it.

    In my case it was SetPoint.exe, a logitech program that controls my wireless mouse/keyboard software. As soon as I killed it the install launched.
    Yes running as admin - and you're right it's something interferring with autorun. When I went to shut down last night, as soon as i shut one application, i got about 10 instances of setup trying to run - and when i clicked on one, it said it was conflicting with uninstall.

    I'll give it a go "after work" and fingers crossed it should run fine! Thanks for the advice!!

    Do I have to reinstall (mount) and load patches everytime I want to open cm0102?

    Hi, followed the steps to install cm0102 and the official patch plus tapani patch fine last night. Played through to end of September. Iíve gone onto cm0102 this morning but get errors. Do I need to reinstall, and load all patches everytime I want to play?

    Game wont start

    Any advice as to why the game freezes when starting a new league? it stops at initialising league data.

    change compatability to XP 2 or 3

    Have you installed 3.9.68 patch?

    Is it March 2020 data you want to play?

    I am having to re do the patches too. If I only mount the iso Iím getting errors and it reverts to 3.6.0. Itís no big deal. At least the games working fine. Only takes a minute to patch

    Find the VirtualStore folder, move every thing from there relating to CM to the Championship Manager 01-02 folder. Then make sure to set cm0102.exe to Run As Administrator

    Game wonít start

    I followed all instructions to downloading the game, the patch and the March update. When I start it I get an error message saying to make sure directx is installed correctly, which it is. Using windows 10. Any ideas?

    Hi All,

    I downloaded the game yesterday but have a few issues:

    1. When I download the Tapani 2.21.1 patch i get a virus alert from my computer?
    2. When trying to start a new game it gets to "initialising game data" and the status bar freezes at about 65%?

    I am having trouble i have the game and the two patches but the team is still the 01/02 version all being 38 to 45 ish so my patches are not working any help would be appreciated?

    Sounds like you applied a path more than once

    uninstall everything and re-install

    1 - it's fine - just disable antivirus etc while downloading and installing

    2 - run the game as administrator

    I now have an issue where it won't let me load a previously saved game - it says that there isn't enough memory? I have chedked and there is plenty of memory available?

    Hi all,

    Aboslutely buzzing that I can get the game and update it with the latest squads etc. However, having trouble getting it up and running. Have downloaded the game, the offical SI games patch, the Tapani 2.19 patch and a current data update. Followed the instructions using the viudeo that was in the game download section but am currently getting the error "unable to initiate graphics in full screen mode pleasre ensure that DirectX has been installed correctly and that your graphics adapter supports 800x600 pixel resolution in 16 bit colour"

    Ant help with this would be great!

    Can't load game for Windows 10! :(

    Hi all,

    Followed the installation process video to the download the game. Attempt to run game with SI Games official patch, tapani 2.19 patch but error comes up regarding display settings. Followed some responses to this on forum to run with administrator. Game pops up in window then when loading a game it pops up with not enough system memory.

    Any help with this would be much appreciated! Especially in these times!

    v.3.9.60 index..cpp 5773 error

    sorry to be a pain guys, but my update of the march 2020 data doesn't work. I have downloaded the v.3.9.68 patch but it still comes up with the v.3.9.60 index..cpp 5773 error. what am I doing wrong?
