Another session on this bad boy, and season 59 is underway.

This time we've got it right!!

5 games in and Ian's Man Utd sit top with 5 out 5. 2 points behind sit The Saints after dropping 2 points with a shock draw. Mikey's Liverpool sit 3rd, 3 points off the pace but with a game in hand.

It was Auf Wiedersehen for Ian as the German FA took away his lederhosen and sacked him after a disappointing Euro 72 campaign. A campaign that saw Mikey's Spain crowned champions of Europe. I was tempted to apply to return to Europe with Germany but decided to stay in sunny South America with Brazil.

    ONWARDS!!!!

Can't let you join this one mate, as we've put so much into this over the last 5 years, but keep your ear to the ground, as there's always games starting, some small based ones, some on a bigger scale, the CM Facebook page will also showcase up and coming network games as will this forum, so its a case of keep looking

Btw - its not full proof yet that you can network play on 2.22 SV6, as it stands, will have to be prior versions, until we work out for sure the best way to get a game going on the newest update and saturn patch

A monster session last night saw us really fire through season 59.

The League Cup went to Man Utd with a deserved win on Liverpool.
All 3 of us safely through to the last 4 of the FA Cup where once again, my Liverpool will meet Ian's Man Utd
All of use through to the Champs League quarter, and will be expected to advance, so question will be, which 2 of us will meet in the Semi?

As for the EPL, Man Utd in control with a 4 point gap on my Liverpool, on equal games for everyone, but Pep's Southampton quite some way off the pace. All to play for as its been a very strange season, where all of us have suffered surprising defeats in more than 1 occasion. Games against one another will have a massive impact, as they do most seasons

On the International front, My Spain still dominating their World Cup Qualifying Group, same with Pep and his Brazil. Still out of work for Ian but who knows the future holds

I heard Pep is rotating the Drogba and Messi regen too much

Could be the reason why he's only won 1 trophy in 2 years

Mikey needs to stop thinking about all out attack and he'll be a force to be reckoned with

After yet another session on this game we move neatly through Season 60.

Man Utd are once again leading the way in the premier league having 27 points from 10 games. Liverpool sit 3rd with 23 points from 11 games whilst Southampton are playing catch-up having the meager total of 19 points from 11 games. There's still plenty of time left in the season but is it enough for me to climb up to catch the big boys?

A horror session for me with a couple of defeats in the league, including a spanking from both Ian's Man Utd and Mikey's Liverpool . Also I suffered an early exit from the League Cup at the 3rd round.Mikey and Ian both made it into the 4th round.

All 3 of us have breezed past the competition in the Champions League 1st group stage

On the international front, Ian is still chomping at the bit to get back in the national hot seat.

    ONWARDS!

And so Season 60 comes to an end, and what a finale it what

My newly beloved team, Liverpool, claimed the EPL, with a couple games to spare, but it came at a cost within the next 2 cup games, as that's all I ended up with, but Im happy with that, more than happy. A lot of rebuilding for next season already started taking place, with key players out, although to nearest rivals, had to go where the best business was, as finances are not the greatest at Anfield

London and his Man Utd, well he took the League Cup earlier on, took the FA Cup by hammering me in the final, and after knocking out the Saints in the CL Semi, he took on AI team, Napoli who upset my Pool, and destroyed them 9-1 to retain the CL. So all in all, a very successful season with 3 cups

Pepe and his Southampton, where do we start? well with nothing I guess, as that's exactly what he won. Alot of worked needed at St Marys if hes to be a force again, hes made a couple signings, but maybe something else needs to change, and if hes not careful, could be the manager - only joking Pepe, but some work needed

We're just at the start of the World Cup 2074, Pepe's Brazil and my Spain, will be deemed favorites but who knows, and who knows if either of us will still be at the helm post tournament, regardless if we win it

Onwards and Upwards as we celebrate 5 years on this game, well 5 years and a day since we first started this game, back in Div 3, as 3 average teams with little to nothing to spend, and an average squad, but 60 seasons later and 5 years on, here we are

60 Season Recap and New Years Honors

So let's take a look at the hall of fame between the 3 of us, and who's achieved what over the 60 seasons (5 years in real time) as it's been a rollercoaster for all of us.

The main 4 competitions have really been dominated by us all, with AI not having the won the EPL since season 3. The AI have won the Champs League (CL) 8 times whilst the FA Cup (FA) they have claimed 6 times. And the League Cup (LC) they have taken 5 times, (4 of which was the first 4 seasons)

    EPL
Ian is our king here, he has claimed the elite prize a record 21 times, where his eye for regens has been critical, and lead him to always be the pre-season favorite. Myself - I've claimed this title 20 times, most recent of course was my 2nd for Liverpool, to add to the 18 titles I'd claimed with Scunthorpe, in these titles include 3 hatricks of wins. Pepe and his Southampton, are a tad behind with 15 crowns

    CL
Europe's elite competition, and Pepe is our king here, with 21 victories to his name, he was the first of the 3 of us to win this. 17 for Ian and a mere 14 for myself

    FA
Ian just had the nod on this with 18 Cup triumphs, Pepe in 2nd with 17 which included 1 for his starting club, Mansfield, and 16 for me

    LC
Pepe is killing this as he has won this 25 times with Southampton, which included 6 in a row at one point. I am on 16 with Ian on 14

It was way back in Aug 2017 when Pepe shocked us by taking the Southampton job, and leaving his FA Cup winners, Mansfield to fend for themselves. Ian waited until Jan 2019 before accepting he'd taken Wycombe as far as he could, and rebuilt Man Utd, who in fairness, needed some major work, considering we were only 4 and half seasons into the game. Then there's me, when shortly after winning the domestic cup double in May 2068, I upped and left Scunthorpe to drop down a division and take on the role at Liverpool, and sort the mess out there. Now as we enter season 61, (8th Aug 2074) it's all to play for on all fronts

We're at the business end of season 61. All to play for as we all take our places in the Champs League Quarters. Pepe looking good for a League Cup as he takes on AI and Bogey team - Everton, but boy he needs it whilst he is 20 points off the pace with only 8 games left. Utd lead the way on goal difference from Pool with couple of massive games for pool to play yet, Saints and Utd

FA Cup looks good for Liverpool, with AI waiting in Semi and final should that make it.

    To echo the above post:

Season 61 comes to an end, and what an end it was. For me and my Liverpool, ran out of steam, and ultimately, defeat at Man Utd, ensured the title would be returning to Old Trafford. I did however win the FA Cup and claim runners up spot. So a great season for Ian and his Red Devils as Utd also clinched the Champions League with a golden goal 4-3 victory over Southampton. But the main story of the story, as mentioned in prior post, Pepe, who's Saints have been somewhat out of sorts the last few seasons, shocked us all by finishing 5th, now although winning the League Cup, could've sneaked a back door ticket into the Champions League, had they won the final, but didn't, and will therefore take their place in the Uefa Cup next season

So team building starts now for all of us, as am sure we'll see ins & outs at both Anfield and Old Trafford, something tells me, we'll see quite a few changes at St Marys. World Club Cup during next season, has a tendency to disrupt ones EPL assault challenge, we shall see

On the International front, Pepe still has Brazil and Ian still has Argentina, both will be looking for Copa America Glory as we head towards our record hitting season (62) for a network game, and its fair to say, at least for me, it just doesn't get boring

Been back on this a couple times over the last week. We've fired through pre-season as we head towards season 62. But it was a busy Summer for Pep and Ian on the International front - Firstly Pep's Brazil have held onto the Copa America for the last 16 years, thats right, the last 8 times, they won it, couple with Pep as boss, then myself before hand, but this time he had to face Ian's aging Argentina in the final, and the honors went to..... Ian, with a great result to claim the trophy. Up next was the confederations cup, with both countries involved - avoiding each other at the Semi stage, Pep wont through, as Ian bowed out on pens to Spain, and then to lose 3 place match also on pens. Pep meanwhile won the final to keep his fans at bay after a terrible run from a domestic perspective view. As for me, I'm still in the International wilderness, and tbh, its been nice, but who knows - maybe 1 day I may return.

On the EPL front, Utd have bought here and there, but mostly, it will be a case of players stepping up from the fringe to make an impact. My Liverpool are as strong as ever in my opinion, question is, will the newly tweaked formation work? As for Pep and his Southampton, well its Uefa Cup assault this season, which he'll be clear favorite for, not too much activity of players coming in, but in fairness, becoming harder by the moment to locate world class players that would make our squads.

    Onwards
