    Older Football Manager

I love what has been done here and am playing CM0102 with the update. The problem is it's made me want to play FM05 (The greatest version of the game EVER) with current players. Does anybody know if there is anywhere in the world this has been done?

I'd imagine asking an FM dedicated site might have better results

Derm does have a point, Enormastitz! Football Manager is a completely different ball game to the old Championship Manager, you'd have better luck asking about on the FM scene website or whatever it's called.

I've heard that also that quite a lot of people think FM05 was the best of the FMs & for me the last FM I really liked and played all the time was FM07.

It was before they decided to turn football manager series into a virtual flight simulation and only a matter of time before they let you choose which toilet paper will be in the dressing room or what wallpaper is in the managers office

Championship Manager and Football Manager are the same thing as far as I'm concerned. It just changed it's name. Fans of the game are fans of the game regardless of name and thought this would be the best place to ask as this is the only place I know that has anything like it. Anyhow I only discovered this website as it was in the book "football manager stole my life" Odd place to find a link to a Championship Manager website if the two aren't connected.

And it's the only connection given that they ruined FM by completely changing it and forgetting their roots

Erm, tell that to those 700k fans they have on FB . There are people who actually love what they did. Moved forward. Accept it already .

Of the 700k probably half are old school cm followers who liked it on that basis but probably gave up playing FM almost 10 years ago when it turned from fun to flight simulator.

CM0304 is class, on modern pcs it isn't that slow. If I was going to rank games I would play it would go -

    1 - 0001 (+ CM3 series)
    2- CM9798
    3 - cm0304
    4 - FM07
    5 - FM05

It's not worth discussing with you lot. I will just let it rest here and let you believe what you want .

    Try on here - http://www.thedugout.net/community/f...play.php?f=117

I've heard (not by info0 though, as the latest FM is always the best iho) that FM07 is the best ever FM before it became too much like a flight simulator that took months to do a season.

I too would like to play it but would like a decent tac and they always seemed a bunch of plonkers on the dugout not sharing tacs or advice like it was some sort of big secret. Not like on here where we all share our tacs and give tips and stuff.

I Have to agree with Cam, i probably enjoyed 2007 more than any other since 0102. seem to remember Torres, Bendtner , and Bojinov where awesome.
I will make it my mission to get some tactics posted in here so we can give it another go

    Football Manager 2010

I have had this on my pc for a long time, if any of you still play FM2010, here it is https://www.sendspace.com/file/zr7ov5

It's the best database on any FM game i played, must be around 5000 legends on it, so the author claimed. Its not my work.

    Anyway download if interested.

    Mervmeister is.

Let's be fair here for a second though. I start to dislike annual game releases. Too little changes to warrant full price... (yes, that includes FIFA and other sport titles too).

So skipping it this year, even though, I am hearing good things about it. Although there is BIG issue with beta currently. It's hellishly SLOW even on high end PCs...
