It seems my months need a silly loss to be complete. This time CSKAss delivered it. Bummed about drawing 2/2 at ManUtd, would have loved to put more distance between us and Janis, who in my opinion is a mayor contender for the title.

And it looked and read quite nicely Markus. WTG.

What a fantastic month! A draw against a strong Villa side followed up by three wins, two against opposing managers. This season is shaping up quite nicely, glad to be with the top pack and challenging for those top four places. Glad I changed my formation to be a bit more defensive this month, but it was goals galore this month!

2 wins and then 2 heavy defeats (although a goalie being sent off didn't help). Still, won at home in the UEFA Cup so not all bad.

I checked the save last night. Against Jesus we both had 5 shots on target, but he wins 4-2

And my keeper still got a 6 or 7...

3 wins (1 in cup) and 1 loss for Swans - decent month again

Didn't deserve to lose v Arsenal either - got superkeepered

1 point behind 3rd place and a game in hand - remain nicely positioned and pleasing to see that even when we lose games we look the better team on the stats/paper......................but sadly its the scoreline that matters in those games!

Smashing write up and effort in the SB again Mark!

Wont be able to make SB next week as will be on a heading towards the home of the 2022 World Cup!

    "IS HE AT IT AGAIN?!"

Liverpool suffered in their first season when Ste117 was the manager and subsequently lost his job after a series of no-show's, even after building his own team. After being in hiatus in season two, Ste117 returned to the Dream Team League as Chelsea manager and now the Stamford Bridge faithful fear that he is about to repeat the feat after being handed a second strike of the season. It doesn't bode well for the club, who are 16th in the Premiership, just two points away from the bottom three.

    The UEFA Cup
Hull City returned from their second leg at Spartak Moscow with a 1-1 draw. Ezequiel Lavezzi's opener cancelled out just two minutes later by Aleksandr Kozlov but it's a result that is enough to put trunky's team into the Third Round after winning the first leg 3-1. A result of 1-1 was also the outcome for BobMem's West Ham, who hosted Molde at the Boleyn Ground. Stefan Kiessling found the net for a 10th time of the season but Molde equalised in the 83rd minute. Nevertheless, the Hammers also go through to the next round after winning 2-0 in Sweden.

    Stefan Kiessling strikes again!

    The League Cup
Although four games were yet to be concluded in the Third Round, the draw for the 4th Round was made where we may see four of our managers go head to head. Ste117 (Chelsea) and Jesus (Man City) will certainly consider themselves fortunate to land home draws against teams outside of the Premiership:

    Chelsea v Sunderland
Norwich v Aston Villa or West Ham
    Everton or Arsenal v Swansea
    Man Utd v Crystal Palace
    Man City v Portsmouth
    Bournemouth or Hull v Tottenham

    The Premiership
A programme of just three games in the Premiership on a Saturday saw a much needed victory for ebfatz's Norwich. Rickie Lambert's first goal in Norwich colours earned a 1-0 win over Leeds to help Norwich to a massive jump into 13th place. Janis89 also moved into 2nd place with a 3-0 win at Leicester with Hatem Ben Arfa finding the net for a first time along with Sergio Aguero's 10th of the season while Younes Belhanda scored the first goal of the game. The real shock came in the third game where Tottenham were given a 3-0 beating by Liverpool that cost them 2nd place.

More results arrived on the Sunday with Fodster celebrating an excellent win over Arsenal away from home. Everton had fallen behind but they soon rallied through a Nigel de Jong penalty and a brace from Mattia Destro. They then lost Adil Rami to a red card and conceded shortly afterwards but managed to hang on and win 3-2, moving into the top 10 for the first time this season. There was also a red card in the match between trunky and Cafcjgreen with Yann Sommer being given his marching orders for a second time already this season. It was bad timing for trunky who fell behind to a Shawn Parker goal and had just pulled it back through Antonio Nocerino. The red card allowed Jonathan de Guzman to put Crystal Palace ahead and Niko Kranjcar wrapped up a 3-1 win. The biggest game of the day was argubly Jesus at home against Dermotron. However, the league leaders were dealt a double blow as Adam Szalai and Andres Iniesta were both injured and it paved the way for Southampton to win 1-0 courtesy of Marco Verratti's 5th of the season. Lastly, the missing Ste117 suffers a 1-0 defeat at Stoke.

Monday Night Football witnessed a Welsh clash as Swansea headed to Cardiff. Surprisingly, Redknapp69's team weren't quite in the clash and it took a Francesco Totti goal for Cardiff to secure the three points for the home side.

Jesus was horrified to lose Andres Iniesta to injury

    The League Cup
Unusually for a League Cup fixture, the Third Round game between Aston Villa and BobMem was also played on a Sunday and it went into extra-time! Arturo Vidal had given Erkifino a lead by way of a penalty and although West Ham were hardly in the game, BobMem's side were able to take it into extra time thanks to Juan Ernesto Sosa's 5th strike of the season. Unfortunately, as the game went all the way to penalties, Sosa was one of two players along with Maxwell to miss their spot-kicks to allow Erkifino to progress and face Norwich in the 4th Round.

Remy Cabella scores the winning penalty for Erkifino against BobMem

    The Champions League
With qualification already a given, a 3-0 win at Red Bull Salzburg with goals from Reto Ziegler, Mathieu Valbuena and Mirko Vucinic meant that Newcastle finished first, remaining unbeaten in their group throughout Phase 1. Manchester United also wrapped up 1st place with an unbeaten record in Phase 1 after concluding with a 3-1 home win over Ajax. Younes Belhanda's brace took him on to five goals for the season with Pedro scoring the other.

The following night, Tottenham also confirmed top spot despite suffering one defeat during their group campaign. ajvonkrondor managed to end on a high note with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Patricio Julian Rodriguez and Ander Herrera (x2) contributing to a 4-0 win at Viktoria Plzen. Finally, the stage was set for Erkifino to finish top spot as well but losing 4-1 at Marseille with Rodrigo scoring the only goal for Aston Villa meant that they instead finish second place. At least they do qualify for the next Phase!

The draw quickly followed as Aston Villa supporters weren't too pleased to be put into a group of Anderlecht, FC Bayern and Real Madrid. Newcastle will face up to Ajax, Juventus and Shakhtar Donetsk. In group B, ajvonkrondor will play Dortmund, Marseille and PSV and last but not least, Man Utd are in Group D which consists of Barcelona, Napoli and PSG.

Despite scoring, Rodrigo was on the losing team as Aston Villa finish 2nd

    The UEFA Cup
The Third Round draw sees the 'losers' of the Champions League join the UEFA Cup which means it can only get tougher for BobMem and trunky from here on in. trunky gets a home tie in the first leg but will face Turkish giants Galatasaray while BobMem goes on his travels to begin with, heading to Germany to face VfB Stuttgart.

    The League Cup
With most eyes on the Champions League, the remaining Third Round fixtures were concluded with trunky and Fodster securing passage to the next round. After a scare in going 2-1 down, Hull beat Bournemouth 4-2 with Edin Dzeko having initially put Hull ahead but further goals from Sergi Roberto's 5th of the season and Ezequiel Lavezzi (x2) turning the game around. Fresh from beating Arsenal in the league, Fodster recorded another impressive victory over the Gunners as Mattia Destro and Will Hughes's first goal as a Toffee helped Everton to a 2-0 win. Fodster will now host Redknapp69 and trunky will face ajvonkrondor at home.

Mattia Destro is helping Fodster at Everton to turn things around

    The Premiership
Soccer Saturday returns with a defeat that leaves Ste117 facing the chop. Chelsea had travelled to Southampton and despite a Nicolas Otamendi equaliser, Dermotron picked up the win thanks to Mauro Icardi and Leandro Paredes. Also suffering defeat is BobMem who made a quick return to Villa Park and was beaten by Erkifino once again. Lucas Moura, Remy Cabell and Marko Marin (5th of the season) had already put Aston Villa ahead before Raul Albiol was sent off for West Ham, leading to an Arturo Vidal goal (5th of the season) and a meaningless strike from Pirmin Schwegler. trunky was also a winner of 4 goals as his Hull team beat Leicester 4-2 thanks to Hulk, an own goal and a brace from Edin Dzeko. ebfatz continues a remarkable upturn of form with a 2-0 win over Cardiff as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Luuk de Jong found the net while Redknapp69 was lucky to salvage a point after going 1-0 down to Ipswich, Kevin Volland scoring a late equaliser. The most interesting game of the day was undoubtedly a trip to White Hart Lane for Mark who lost 2-0 as Rasmus Elm and Ander Herrera scored to put ajvonkrondor's Tottenham top of the league table.

Jesus had the chance to return to the top the following day but could only manage a 1-1 draw at Everton. Nigel de Jong gave Fodster a lead but Stevan Jovetic levelled from the spot before Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Vasilis Torosidis were sent off for a scuffle. One team losing form is Arsenal who lost 2-0 to Cafcjgreen. It was a deserved victory for Crystal Palace though as a first goal of the season for Michael Bradley was followed up by Fredy Montero's 5th of the season.

Next, it was Janis89 on Monday Night Football and another chance for a team to overtake ajvonkrondor. Unfortunately, it was not to be as Manchester United were beaten 1-0 by Liverpool despite having 22 attempts on target. Naturally, the Liverpool goalkeeper was Man of the Match!

Rasmus Elm's first goal of the season for Tottenham helps them top the league for the first time

    The League Cup
Before a ball is even kicked in the 4th Round of the League Cup, the draw for the Quarter Final has already been made:

Norwich or Aston Villa v Chelsea or Sunderland
Bolton or Liverpool v Everton or Swansea
Man Utd or Crystal Palace v Man City or Portsmouth
Hull or Tottenham v Reading or Cardiff

    The Premiership
Now that Tottenham are top of the league, there are no signs of letting slip as ajvonkrondor records a 2-1 win at Ipswich on Soccer Saturday. Ander Herrera continues a fine run by scoring both goals and has now reached 10 for the season. The most thrilling game took place at Elland Road though where Leeds led 2-0 against trunky's Hull. A fightback began with Sergi Roberto and Edin Dzeko both scoring twice before Sebastien Corchia was sent off. That let Leeds score a 3rd but two goals from Pablo Osvaldo made it 6-3 to Hull! After four league wins in a row, Norwich were finally beaten as ebfatz lost 2-0 at Arsenal. Also tasting defeat was Jesus who is beaten 2-0 at home to Swansea as David Villa scores both goals for Redknapp69. Newcastle turn around a 1-0 deficit against Southampton who had Artjoms Rudnevs scoring his first goal for Dermotron. But goals from Leon Osman, Rafael van der Vaart and Mirko Vucinic gives Mark the win while Pirmin Schwegler and Arjen Robben score for BobMem in a 2-0 win at Stoke. Finally, Erkifino drops points at Chelsea where Fabian Delph scores for Ste117 who lost Asier Illarremendi to a red card. Rodrigo though, pulled one back for Aston Villa to save a point with his 5th of the season.

There are two away games for our managers on Super Sunday and both go home with a point. Sergio Aguero scored for Janis89 at Cardiff but they levelled soon afterwards to record a draw. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace fought back from a goal down to go 2-1 up thanks to Niko Kranjcar and Aaron Lennon but lost two points in the last minute of the game to Leicester.

The Merseyside Derby was then on show on Monday Night Football but Fodster's 4 game unbeaten run came to an end in a 4-3 defeat. Nani, Mattia Destro and Pierre-Michel Lasogga's goals turned out to be of no use.

Spurs' Ander Herrera reaches 10 goals already this season, an impressive statistic for a midfielder

    The Champions League
It was going to get tougher in the Champions League now and that's why Newcastle were delighted to start Phase 2 with a 2-0 win over Ajax as Rodrigo Palacio and Mirko Vucinic scored for Mark. It was bad news for ajvonkrondor on the same night who lost Jan Vertonghen to a red card although Spurs were already losing 3-0 to PSV.

ajvonkrondor turned out to be the only losing manager as Erkifino started with a 2-0 win as well with Lucas Moura scoring twice to beat Anderlecht while Janis89 came out on top in a 4-3 win at Barcelona. Mario Gomez struck twice at the Nou Camp along with Sergio Aguero and Hatem Ben Arfa, the latter being a 90th minute winner.

Mario Gomez has 18 goals in 19 starts for Man Utd

    The League Cup
With most in European action, there was a chance for the rest to play in the Fourth Round and the only manager to be knocked out is Redknapp69 who lost 3-2 at Everton. Ibrahim Afellay and David Villa had given Swansea a 2-1 win but Fodster saw Will Hughes score twice along with a Nigel de Jong penalty that puts him into the next round. Ste117 gets a reprieve as Vitaliy Mandzyuk and Javier Hernandez help Chelsea beat Sunderland 2-0 but the most grateful manager will be Jesus who finally gets back to winning ways with a 4-1 win over Portsmouth. They conceded the last goal but Welliton, Nuri Sahin, Adam Szalai and Jack Rodwell had already put Man City 4-0 up. Jesus will now face an away trip to either Man Utd or Crystal Palace while Ste117 travels to Norwich or Aston Villa. Fodster certainly has the best draw on paper as he will play at Bolton.

Will Hughes is starring for Everton

    The UEFA Cup
It is always tough to start the first leg away from home and that was the case for BobMem at VfB Stuttgart where he was beaten 2-1. At least Kelvin struck in the 88th minute to at least record an away goal for West Ham. trunky also conceded an away goal to Galatasaray but he did win 2-1 thanks to an own goal and Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Ezequiel Lavezzi remains a key man at Hull City, helping trunky to beat Galatasaray

    The Premiership
It's definitely hotting up in the Premiership now with 2nd placed Southampton winning 3-2 against Ipswich and 3rd placed Aston Villa winning 4-0 against Newcastle. Mark was given a torrid time against Erkifino who had Joleon Lescott, Sami Khedira, Lucas Moura and Jerome Boateng on the scoresheet! As for Dermotron, he saw Balazs Dzsudzsak, Leandro Paredes and Sidney Sam help him to a much needed win. Elsewhere on this particular day, Cafcjgreen had Fredy Montero, Shawn Parker (x2) and Michael Bradley scoring in a 4-1 win against Leeds but ebfatz lost 2-0 at home to Leicester. A 1st minute Rafael Toloi red card did not give orwich much of a chance!

Super Sunday was a chance to see if Janis89 could reassume the title challenge for Man Utd and he did just that as a 3-0 win (Koke, Hatem Ben Arfa and Ilkay Gundogan) over Arsenal put him into 3rd place. Swansea also actually moved into 4th place with a 3-2 win (Kevin Volland, Virgil van Dijk and Danny Welbeck) over Liverpool that will please Redknapp69 no end. Also moving up the table for the first time in a while is West Ham as Stefan Kiessling scores the only goal to help BobMem beat Ste117 at home. Elsewhere, Maurico Isla and Adil Rami help Fodster to a 2-0 win against Cardiff and trunky is held to a 0-0 draw at home by Stoke who failed to have shot on target.

Monday Night Football was a big one and for Jesus, Andres Iniesta made a return from injury to feature at Tottenham. Both managers are good friends but Spurs were dealt a shock 1-0 defeat thanks to Ola John's first goal of the season. ajvonkrondor remains top but Man City are now just a point behind.

Swansea City move into 4th place with Danny Welbeck recording his first goal of the season

    The League Cup
There's just two days for ajvonkrondor to bounce back from the defeat to Man City as he travels to Hull and wins 2-1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera gave Spurs the lead to help them beat trunky despite a late goal from Ezequiel Lavezzi. For Janis89, it's a routine win for Man Utd as a hat-trick for Pedro puts him on 5 for the season and helps them beat Cafcjgreen 3-0. Finally, ebfatz seems to be down on his luck once again as Erkifino wins 2-0 at Carrow Road, Shinji Kagawa and Arturo Vidal scoring for Aston Villa. That means Erkifino plays host to Ste117 in the Quarter Final, ajvonkrondor welcomes Reading and Janis89 is at home in a Manchester Derby against Jesus.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores his first goal for 6 games!

    The Premiership
With action on the same night in the League Cup, it gave Mark and BobMem a chance to catch up with the rest and the winner was BobMem. Stefan Kiessling gave West Ham the lead as Newcastle then lost Paolo Cannavro and Mirko Vucinic to red cards! It's a win for BobMem that puts him 4th and a point behind Spurs as well!

Could it BE any tighter up there?!

2 league wins a draw and a loss isn't too bad. Nor is the UEFA Cup results so far. Pity about the League Cup defeat so early on and that bloody Sommer getting sent off again!

I'm a lot higher than expected having read the results. It still feels like a false position as the only DTL teams I've beaten have either been on default due to failing to submit, or had 2 red cards!

Bit to do in UEFA cup too. Hopefully we'll smash 'em at the Boleyn!!

    Great work once again Mark

The month started so well and then went down the pisser!

Seem to be clear of the relegation places so happy enough.
Would have liked a decent cup run. Shame I had to draw Erk!

I am baffled. Never lost so many games in a month and yet, lo and behold! We're top of the league. Bummed to lose to Jesus, but he's earned it, he's building a beast and I told you so.

Damned Jan isnt living up to his pricetag. One more cock up and he;s off to the circus as well.

thanks Mark. Thanks so much for all the funs!

Meanest defence in the league... unfortunately that seems to equate to most draws.
    Excellent stuff Mark. KUTGW

So out of the four games this month I lost to Southampton (Dermo), drew with Everton (Fods), lost to Swansea (Redders) and then pulled it back against Tottenham (AJ). One win, a draw and two losses. Definitely not good enough, and it goes to show how much of a key player Iniesta is for me - him getting injured hurt me hard this month. Thankfully he was back for when it mattered in the final game of the month.

As always, a fantastic write up Mark. Time to study the save and get a formation drawn up..

Was the better team v Cardiff and Ipswich and only picked up 1 point

Was the worst team v Jesus's Man City - but somehow scored 2 goals from only shots on goal!

Didn't deserve to lose in league cup either but some crazy HT action with 3 goals in as many mins did us over

So - 2 wins, a draw and a loss - 6th place but a game in hand and unbelievably tight in league!

Brilliant stuff and a whoppingly good update Mark!

    One In, One Out

As the Dream Team League approaches its midway point of the season, there were a couple of changes to the system as one set of fans were left disappointed and another feeling rather apprehensive about a third manager taking over in as many years.

Firstly, following the disastrous spells of Ste117 and EL-TOPPO, Liverpool have hired vinjwoods as their third manager. Secondly, a failure to submit a team for a third time this season has led to the resignation of Ste117 as manager of Chelsea. This is the second time that Ste117 has been withdrawn from the competition following a similar spell as manager of Liverpool in the first season of the Dream Team League.

    Arsenal 2:1 Hull
    Cardiff 1:1 Crystal Palace
    Ipswich 1:2 Everton
    Liverpool 2:1 Norwich
    Man City 3:0 Man Utd
    Newcastle 0:3 Swansea
    West Ham 0:1 Southampton

An Adam Szalai brace along with a goal from Wesley Sneijder gave Jesus a dream 3-0 win in the Manchester derby to top the table while Janis89's men were booed off the pitch. Wins for Dermotron in a 1-0 win over BobMem (Lacina Traore) and Redknapp69 over Mark (Per Mertesacker and David Villa x2) means that they are both now 2nd and 3rd in the table. vinjwoods didn't take over Liverpool in time to face Norwich where ebfatz took a 1-0 lead through Darren Bent only for the home side to win 2-1 thanks to Romelu Lukaku and Alex Teixeira. Originally trailing, Cafcjgreen saw his Crystal Palace team fight back to draw 1-1 thanks to Fredy Montero while Fodster moved up to 11th with a 2-1 win at Ipswich courtesy of goals from Zdravko Kuzmanovic and Jermain Defoe. Finally, trunky suffered a disappointing defeat at Arsenal where Hull lost 2-1 despite Hulk originally tieing the game.

Adam Szalai struck twice to condem Man Utd to a 3-0 defeat

    Chelsea 2:4 Tottenham

Chelsea began life without Ste117 with a 4-2 win for Tottenham. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar's opening goal had been cancelled out within seconds before Ander Herrera (x2) and Yohan Cabaye secured a victory that restored ajvonkrondor to the top of the league.

    Real Madrid 3:4 Aston Villa
    Man Utd 3:0 Napoli

Erkifino's men only needed 5 shots on target to score 4 times against Real Madrid. This despite losing 1-0 before Marko Marin, Shinji Kagawa's 5th of the season and 2 goals from Arturo Vidal gave Aston Villa a 4-1 lead. Two late goals for Real Madrid almost helped them pull off a comeback. There was none of that in Manchester though as Janis89 bounced back from defeat to Man City with a 3-0 win over Napoli where Younes Belhanda scored twice along with a Mario Gomez penalty. Both teams top their groups having taken 6 from 6 points on offer.

Younes Belhanda puts in a Man of the Match performance against Napoli

Bolton 2:2 Everton (Bolton win 3-2 on penalties)

Fodster's boys went to Reebok Stadium for their Quarter Final clash against Bolton in the League Cup. Despite his Everton team registered twice as many shots, they fell behind twice before Jermain Defoe equalised both times. The game went to penalties with Defoe and Michu scoring their spotkicks but Georginio Wijnaldum, Chris Smalling and Illsinho missed their efforts as Bolton went through to the Semi Final.

    Juventus 2:1 Newcastle
    Tottenham 0:1 Marseille

Our Dream Team League managers both taste disappointing defeats in the Champions League with Yaya Toure having put Newcastle ahead only for Juventus to win 2-1. Meanwhile, Tottenham also lots after falling behind after 10 minutes and even an 88th minute red card for Marseille didn't stop them from winning. Tottenham now lie at the bottom of their group without a point while Newcastle are 3rd.

Galatasaray 2:2 Hull (Hull win 4:3 on aggregate)
West Ham 2:3 VfB Stuttgart (West Ham lose 3:5 on aggregate)

Trailing 2-1 from the first leg in the UEFA Cup 3rd Round, it was a big ask for West Ham to turn it around against VfB Stuttgart. However, they led 2-1 through Khaleem Hyland and Christian Atsu which levelled it up on aggregate only for two further goals from the German side to knock BobMem out of the competition. trunky was in a slightly better position going to Turkey but still found himself 1-0 down before Hulk equalised. It looked to be enough to go through when Galatasaray scored an 85th minute goal to force the game into extra time. But Ezequiel Lavezzi's 96th minute goal was enough for Hull to progress to the next round.

    Crystal Palace 2:0 Ipswich
    Norwich 1:3 Newcastle
    Swansea 1:0 Aston Villa
    Tottenham 2:2 Southampton

Mathias Valbuena's 5th goal of the season and two rare goals from Martin Caceres helped Mark to get a much needed win over job threatened ebfatz, who had Darren Bent scoring a penalty. Also picking up a much needed win was Cafcjgreen who despite having Marco Amelia sent off in the 33rd minute, managed to beat Ipswich 2-0 with goals from James Tomkins and Fabio Borini. The big result of the day has to go to Redknapp69 who watched David Villa score the only goal of the game to beat Erkifino at home. There was also looking as though a shock was in store at White Hart Lane where Marek Hamsik and Lacina Traore gave Dermotron a 2-0 lead at half-time. But two goals in the last 11 minutes from Ander Herrera and Patricio Julian Rodriguez's 5th of the season saw ajvonkrondor claim a point to stay at the top of the table.

    Everton 0:1 West Ham
    Hull 2:2 Man City
    Leeds 1:2 Liverpool
    Man Utd 1:0 Chelsea

After the draw for Tottenham, Jesus knew that a win at Hull could see him back at the top of the table. It all looked so good for Man City who had Stevan Jovetic and Renato Augusto's first goal of the season giving them a 2-0 lead. But Antonio Nocerino and Ezequiel Lavezzi scored within 3 minutes of each other in the 81st minute to snatch a point and keep Man City in 2nd place. BobMem just shaded the game against Fodster with Alvaro Negredo scoring an 83rd minute penalty giving him a win to go 5th. Janis89 will be disappointed that in a game where Chelsea had no shots, he only won 1-0 thanks to Hatem Ben Arfa with Mario Gomez missing a penalty. vinjwoods took charge of his first game and saw Facundo Ferreyra score twice to get into double figures for the season after Leeds opened the scoring to win 2-1.

    Aston Villa 2:1 Chelsea
    Man Utd 4:1 Man City
    Tottenham 2:0 Reading

They say revenge is a dish best served cold and that was the case for Janis89 who knocked Jesus out of the League Cup in style. A hat-trick from Sergio Aguero took him on to 15 goals for the season and a penalty from Mario Gomez took him on 20 goals for the season with Andres Iniesta scoring for Man City. The result was made all the more remarkable as Thiago Silva was sent off with the score at 2-1! Remy Cabella and Rafa scored goals for Erkifino in an easy 2-1 win over Chelsea while Ander Herrera kept up his goalscoring form with 2 goals taking him to 16 for the season in a 2-0 win over Reading for ajvonkrondor.

    Hull 1:2 Newcastle

Just the one Wednesday night game in the Premiership where trunky led 1-0 through Moussa Dembele but Mark's neck was saved thanks to Ever Banega making his debut off the bench and scoring twice to help Newcastle win the gamea and move up to 8th.

    Chelsea 3:1 Everton
    Ipswich 2:1 Norwich
    Liverpool 1:1 Hull
    Man City 2:0 Crystal Palace
    Stoke 3:0 Southampton
    West Ham 0:1 Swansea

An extremely disappointing result for Dermotron who loses 3-0 to unmanaged Stoke allows Jesus to pull away from Southampton after a 2-0 win over Cafcjgreen where Stevan Jovetic got a 5th of the season along with Andres Iniesta. Moving into 2nd place was Swansea who are on a roll at the moment with Alexis Sanchez scoring to beat BobMem's West Ham. Elsewhere, trunky and vinjwoods play out a 1-1 draw with Facundo Fereyra and Ezequiel Lavezzi on the scoresheet and Fodster loses 3-1 at Chelsea despite a goal from James Ward-Prowse. The biggest result has to be a 2-1 defeat for ebfatz who despite Luuk de Jong scoring, was given a vote of confidence after the derby defeat.

    Aston Villa 0:1 Tottenham

Erkifino will consider himself unfortunate to lose to ajvonkrondor on Super Sunday where Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a 77th minute winner to help restore Tottenham to the top of the league having been pushed off the previous day by Jesus.

    Newcastle 1:1 Man Utd

1-1 would appear to be a fair result in an even game where Mario Gomez scored first only for Ever Banega to equalise. The result leaves Janis89 6th and Mark 8th.

    Norwich 2:0 West Ham

ebfatz really needed this Wednesday evening win to relieve some of the pressure. He'll certainly be indebted to Christian Clemens and a penalty from David Vaughan helping Norwich to 3 points as BobMem suffers a second defeat on the bounce.

Silvio Proto is the league's highest rated goalkeeper who has helped Norwich to a clean sheet against West Ham

    Crystal Palace 1:0 Liverpool
    Everton 1:0 Newcastle
    Hull 2:0 Cardiff
    Man Utd 2:0 Ipswich
    Norwich 1:0 Man City
    Southampton 2:0 Aston Villa
    Swansea 2:0 Chelsea
    Tottenham 1:0 West Ham

A very rare programme of home wins all round! The 1-0 win over BobMem for ajvonkrondor will be viewed as fortunate given that Tottenham were down to 10 men thanks to Winston Reid but won through Doria. It was a key victory after Jesus suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to ebfatz who has now won twice in a row as Tom Carroll scored for Norwich. A 2-0 win over Chelsea thanks to an own goal and David Villa helps Redknapp69's Swansea into 2nd place while Dermotron is 4th after a 2-0 win against Aston Villa. Southampton had been down to 10 men after Marc Bartra was sent off but Sidney Sam converted a penalty for his 5th goal of the season and Mauro Icardi scored his 10th. Janis89 beat Ipswich 2-0 (Mario Gomez and Pedro) and Cafcjgreen moved into 9th after being vinjwoods 1-0 with Shawn Parker notching a 10th goal of the season. Pierre-Michel Lasogga scored the only goal of the game to help Fodster beat Mark 1-0 while trunky won 2-0 at home to Cardiff thanks to Antonio Nocerino and Edzin Dzeko.

    Crystal Palace 3:2 Newcastle
    Everton 1:0 Aston Villa
    Hull 2:0 Ipswich
    Leeds 1:2 Man City
    Leicester 0:1 Liverpool
    Man Utd 1:1 West Ham
    Norwich 1:1 Chelsea
    Stoke 0:3 Tottenham
    Swansea 1:2 Southampton

Patricio Julian Rodriguez, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar's 10th of the season and Ander Herrera helped to maintain ajvonkrondor's lead at the top of the league with a 3-0 win over Stoke. Goals from Stevan Jovetic and Andres Iniesta in a 2-1 win at Leeds helped Jesus to reclaim 2nd spot after Lacina Traore struck twice to help Dermotron come back from a David Villa goal to beat Redknapp69 2-1. Janis89 managed to claim a point against BobMem but only after Sergio Aguero's last minute goal had cancelled out Joshua Guilavogui's opener. After a 1-0 win at Leicester with Facundo Ferreyra scoring, vinjwoods moves into 6th while Cafcjgreen now lies in 8th place after a 3-2 thriller against Mark. Martin Caceres had given Newcastle the lead by way of a penalty only for a Vlad Chiriches own goal, Fredy Montero and Shawn Parker to give Crystal Palace the win after Wendel had scored late on for Newcastle. Erkifino continues to struggle after losing 1-0 to Fodster with Mauricio Isla scoring a penalty while Andre Schurrle and Edin Dzeko helped trunky to a 2-0 win over Ipswich. Finally, ebfatz missed the chance to make it 3 wins in a row with Luuk de Jong scoring first but Chelsea equalising to make it 1-1.

    Aston Villa 2:0 Crystal Palace
    Liverpool 1:1 Stoke
    Man City 3:2 Cardiff
    Newcastle 3:1 Leicester
    Southampton 4:0 Norwich
    Swansea 0:1 Everton
    Tottenham 1:3 Man Utd
    West Ham 0:1 Hull

A very frustrating day for ajvonkrondor who has Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scoring a consolation goal. Younes Belhanda, Mario Gomez and Hatem Ben Arfa may have helped Janis89 to a 3-1 win but Tottenham remain top but just 1 point clear of Man City who beat Cardiff 3-2 with goals from Aiden McGeady, Stevan Jovetic and Oscar de Marcos. Dermotron is also a point away in 3rd place following a 4-0 thrashing for ebfatz (Gabriel x2, Nikola Maksimovic and Sidney Sam). A further three points behind are Swansea who lost 1-0 to Everton with Pierre-Michel Lasogga scoring for Fodster. Alessandro Gamberini helped vinjwoods pick up a point against Stoke in a 1-1 draw while BobMem lost to trunky as Vurnon Anita came off the bench to score a winner. After 3 games without a win, Newcastle finally won again as goals from Jeremy Menez and Olivier Giroud (x2) helped them to a 3-1 win over Leicester while Erkifino also ended a poor run of 4 defeats without scoring by beating Cafcjgreen 2-0 with goals from Sebastian Rode and Remy Cabella.

It's been an extremely busy month, productive for some, not so much for others. Erkifino in particular will be disappointed with an alarming drop of form that has seen him sink to 13th! ebfatz will be happy to pick up some points but his job remains insecure. The next month will tell us a lot more about how the Dream Team League will end this season!

    Disasterous month.

Lost, lost (UEFA), won, lost, lost, lost, drew, lost.

So 1W, 1D, 5L in league and a UEFA cup beating as well. Failed to score in 5 games too. Bad times.

    Great write-up though Marko!

Great start to the month for Swans...........

    Played 4
    Won 4
    Scored 7
    Conceded 0

I then get cocky on the SB and we proceed to lose the next 2 games - although no way I should have lost v Everton as we dominated the game

Mark - I'm unable to view the Swansea v Saints game on 26th December - any idea why this is - never seen in CM before where you can't view a game to see stats etc? Would be interested to see what went wrong given we were amazing for the 4 games before that

So - 5th in table but got a game in hand on everyone above me

All in all 4 wins and 2 losses is good but I am left thinking..............what if?

    Top effort as always Marko!

Looks like 3 wins, 2 draws and 2 loses so not to shabby...plus through to the next round in the UEFA Cup.

    Great write up Mark again.
