Good evening guys, I tried the Saturn patch to fix the structure of the Italian championships, but I can't reduce the game window and therefore the resolution, how can I do it please?

Just come across this post and it got me thinking. Could you change the Italian Cup to include all Italian League sides (so Serie C2 A, B and C also). That is a total of 132 teams, divided into 18 groups of 4 for the opening group stage. You could have the top of each group qualifying for round of 32 along with best 14 runners up and then it becomes a straight knock out competition from this point onwards. I know that the Serie C cup takes the best 6 runners up from 16 groups of 5 alongside winners and 10 teams who get a bye into round of 32.

I'm only just getting back to the game and using ollydbg after too many years away, so struggling to find all the offsets that need changing to attempt this. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

well... after a week, i read a lot of thread about league structure.. offsets, swapping league... and:

if we swap Italy and Portugal we have already the three group in third division ( lega pro ) but they don't have playoff and playout... also we have to add 2 teams to first and second portugal divisions...

the only way that is near to reality is to swap italian serie c1 and c2, so we have 3 groups and playoff playout like in the reality...
but.. this way is really really difficult ( impossible for me.. )

so.. no way to improve italian league...

I think, there is no need to. Better to accept the thing, that the game is working in that state and have fun with it

If somebody will develop new methods to create things like that an easier way, there will be more "this season" accurate patches. Saturn's have a nice jobs here, and he reach the farest of modding to be accurate.

Dear John Locke, i'm not able to do what i want to do, my purpose is to change italian structure into the new one, Serie A, Serie B with playoff and playout, Lega Pro A,B,C with playoff and playout
unfortunately i'm not good enough to do this ( and maybe also to explain this with my poor english ).

So i've to wait if a good boy will do this or put me on the right way

Not sure it will be possible to get exactly what you want - particularly the playoff and playout in Serie B and Lega Pro A, B, C (is this what serie C is now known as?)

What I have been able to do is swap Italy and Portugal - so now at least you have Serie A, Serie B and then 3 divisions beneath Serie B (ie Lega Pro / Serie C). I'm still changing around the award names, but once done happy to share the exe (if someone can remind me how best to upload it - and which files - am guessing the data folder and the exe itself). All this has done is patch Italy onto the Portuguese league structure which has also meant that Serie A and Serie B are now only 18 teams rather than 20, albeit the Liga Pro now has 20 rather than the old 18 teams in each group - I've not had any luck changing the top two divisions to 20 in Portugal.

the last but not the least: maybe after the swap we can try to change the league structure to have 20 teams instead of 18? No good i'ven't read you last message till now...

I think there might be a way of increasing from 18 to 20 as the original database had 18 in Serie A and in Ligue 1 if I'm right, and they are both now 20. Have tried a couple of ways to change it but no luck as yet.

Once I have the awards tidied up I will get a version uploaded for you - getting a tad side tracked with Europa League Qualifying (Inter-Toto Cup) at the moment.

Please note, I've still not finished tidying up the award names - so some Italian awards are in Portugal and some Portuguese awards are in Italy.

This patch is built on the March 2020 update with both Saturn and Nick patches applied. I'd suggest updating your game with the official patch, Saturn and Nick patches, then extract the two files from the Celtic Cup patch and put these into your main folder replacing the files already there - hopefully all will work.

List of changes;

Italy swapped with Portugal
- Italy now Serie A (18 teams), Serie B (18 teams), Serie C1/A, C1/B, C1/C (20 teams each)
- Portugal now Primeira Liga (20 teams), Liga Pro (20 teams)
- There are 5 divisions below Primera Liga, however these have been renamed as I'm in process of trying to disconnect these and connect to English leagues to increase league pyramid. (Portuguese teams in here currently and all works fine, feel free to rename the leagues)

Welsh League replaces Scotland League Two
- 18 teams in Cymru Premier (still not resolved relegation in this league)
- Scotland League 1 (teams relegate to Scottish Non-League) expanded to 18 teams while Scottish Championship expanded to 12 teams
- Welsh Premier Cup and Welsh Cup now playable

Ukrainian Cup replaces Welsh League Cup
- 18 team cup with group stage (saw this as an opportunity to expand some playable clubs with some structured matches)

Celtic Cup replaces Scottish League Cup
- With the Scottish Challenge Cup having included teams from outside Scotland in recent years thought it good to expand on this
- Rewritten the code for the cup ("stole" Russian cup code for this), to expand cup to 50 teams rather than 42.
- All Scottish Championship, Cymru Premier, Northern Ireland Premier and Ireland Premier take part. Fixture dates changed to avoid clashes with any other competitions in these 4 countries.

English League Trophy
- Have included 8x U23 teams in this competition rather than teams from the English Conference (similar to what happens irl)

Cyprus League replaces Greece Division 2
- Greece Premier League and Cyprus Premier both 16 team leagues
- Currently Greek Cup includes Cyprus teams (still working on this)
- Still trying to fully sort out relegation in these leagues with their national non-league system, proving tricky.

Europa League Qualifying
- Increased number of teams from 60 to 66 (these extra teams primarily come from Italy, Spain and England, hence if you manage in one of these countries you have an increased chance of playing in Europe)

Hi Footballer,

i've downloaded the patch and installed it.

So, as you said, some names aren't completely swapped with portugal league, everything it's ok except Serie A and Serie B 18 instead of 20 teams.
Anyway this is a great step forward and i say thank you another time.
Do you think there's an hope to fix Serie A and B?

Another question is:
In this way we've lost playoff and playout isn'it ?

Hi Marco,

Yes, with this way the Serie A and B are now 18 teams, I've tried changing it to 20 but unsuccessful so far. The playoffs and playouts are also gone - that would require someone to completely recode the league structure, that's not happening anytime soon. Just noticed that the fixture dates on the Celtic Cup aren't correct, so I'll try and sort that before putting up and update of this patch.

Glad it downloaded for you and is playable.
