Any advise on this lad are welcome.
I think he could become a great defender, but he plays midfield. As form, he scored a 6 on the midfield, and solid 7's and a 8 playing centre back.
Should i retrain him for defender, or should i position him as defensive midfielder (not keen on that position in my tactics, but i would find it nice to build a tactic around my squad instead of the other way around)
Also. Any tips on getting him better by training?

I had a look,, he wasn't. Port Vale was his club. So I don't even know what caused this rare comment. Definitely a local rival thing but interestingly a few months later the player is complaining lost confidence in manager etc so the supremo was correct@TheImmortal316

How did this transfer even go through?? I remember trying to sign Jadon Sancho in a PSG save game for £27M and the board kept cancelling the transfer because they thought it was too much money!!!

In case you don't know how this works:
Go to training, choose an empty slot (right bottom, f.i.), call it "DC" or something.
Set Fitness: normal, Tactics: intensive, Shooting: none, Skills: normal/intensive (depending on how fit he remains), New position: defender (or defensive midfielder, whichever you choose).
Go back to where the boy is at, and drag him to the new slot. Then click Ok, so you don't accidentally cancel your changes.
There's a good to fair chance that the player will start to complain about not liking his training schedule.
If this happens, too bad. He'll keep whining until you put him back to his normal schedule.
But if you're lucky, he'll accept it and become solid at his new position after a few months.
He will get better at the new position more quickly if you also let him play that position regularly.
You can use him as a DC or DMC without training him to become good at these positions, but he will get a penalty on performance for not playing in his "good" position.
So it's definitely worth a shot, considering his stats. Only concern I'd have is Aggression 1. That's not a lot, so he might not make as many tackles as you'd like him to.
