    Great stuff riise.

    Had a few holidays!
Bloody women and their dryers - I would've framed the jersey
Everton aren't bad but hopefully Pool aren't in first again for a while
    What was Bermuda like?
Software testing, to my knowledge (people have droned on about it) seems like a boring job.

Bermuda's a great place. I usually warn people off holidays there because it's expensive to get to and expensive when you're there, plus the tourism scene is basically just the elderly day-tripping when cruise ships stop off there. Unless you like sitting on the beach all day (and there are loads of amazing beaches), there's not a great deal to do. But it was great living there because I'd be kept busy in school all day and then go to the beach! Almost no crime, probably because everybody knows eachother.

RE: software testing, probably depends on what you're testing! The last few development phases have been a little tedious, but it can often get more interesting. I've learnt a lot more in the 18 months I've been doing this than I did in the previous 10 years doing project management-related stuff.

I do like the thought of staying here as an international man of mystery... but yes Riise, I accept!

I'd not seen this post before so i'll have a gander at some of the others and have a think over the next week or so

Nothing particularly exciting - I work for a company in the education industry and we provide schools with a program that helps them better analyse their students' grades data, so that's the program I test (as opposed to being a contractor doing all different things for different companies).

    Great stuff Riise!

    Some fine answers there

    Nice interview, riise!

Bermuda always makes think of Kyle Lightbourne, who Stoke signed for a then club record fee (500k). He was awful. Think he went on to manage the national team.

Software development, sounds like a road I kind of want to go down job-wise. I dabble in a bit of everything in my job so thinking I want to go more specialist in the future.

Craft ales Prefer amber ales over pale/dark ones though.

750 miles Is that all in marathons/half-marathons only or just running when you can?

Never used to have chorizo's but find them quite tasty now.

I want one of those maps too.

Literally watched Drive for the first time last night. It wasn't what I expected but still decent.

Haha I almost replied to jacobclear's "had a few holidays!" comment with "you can tell I don't have kids"!

Everyone normally says Shaun Goater, so Lightbourne is a different one! Wikipedia seems to half-corroborate him managing the national team...

I kinda fell into this, but wish I'd done it sooner. Though the project management stuff I used to do helped, as I was familiar with the software development lifecycle.

I only did one half marathon all year it works out as 2.05 miles per day but ideally I'd be doing a couple of 10k runs in the week and a 10-miler at the weekend, but it seldom turned out that way. I was 35 miles behind par at one point so I was literally just running 3 miles EVERY day for over a month so I could make a mile back every day. I don't miss it

I find myself having to defend Drive a lot, but there's something about it that I just can't explain - I love it!

Lucky woman, I'd love to go back. I said it's expensive to be there, but wages are very much in line with that!

My dad was meant to be moving back there, so I was looking forward to going back, but instead he's working for a Bermudian company in their Guernsey branch

Quiet day in the office so I've had a bash at this...

Q1 - What place do you call home and what is your spiritual home?
I live in Wickford, Essex. Iím not a TOWIE wet-look hair gel wanker though. Born in Essex, I lived in Sheffield for 5 years as my dad got a job up there when I was a kid, then came back. My spiritual home is a place called Portland Bill Ė on the Dorset Coast. We have a family home down there and I used to go there every summer as a kid, those of you in England, itís a beautiful part of our country.

Q2 - Which CM superstar would you like to see play for your IRL club and why?
Iíve seen him and he didnít disappoint Ė Rafael Van Der Vaart! Still cannot believe Tottenham managed to get him. That said, having sold Mousa Dembele I am a little surprised Pochettino didnít go all out to sign Mark Kerr to replace him as Iím sure he could still do a job with that 20 determination!

Andrea Pirlo and Andres Iniesta would probably get a game to be fair tooÖ. if Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko were injured...

    Q3 - What's your drink of choice?
I am a man of many beers! Love trying new ones. Personal favourites are Sierra Nevada, Brooklyn Lager, Hop House and Camden Hells Lager Ė current favourite is Pistonhead Amber Ale.

Lager/Pale Aleís Ė any recommendations are welcome, anyone who mentions Fosters or Carling though, you are dead to me.

Q4 - What do you do for a living?
I hate this questionÖ itís hard to explain ha. I am a ďClient Relationship ManagerĒ for an IT Company working in Financial Services. Long and short, I manage the relationships with our clients from day to day issues/queries, contract renewals, projects, sales opportunities etc. and I also go out looking for new business, doing pitches and creating proposals. In the past Iíve been a project manager and a people manager in operations Ė Iíve always worked in the Financial Services/IT environment, but in non-techy roles as ironically, Iím shit at using computers. Downloading the font pack for CM 01/02 is about the maximum capability of my IT skills Ė my big mouth is what I primarily use in my job!

    Q5 - Who's your favourite Viper?
Now this is a tricky one. Iím new to this site so Iíve not worked my way around everything thatís going on.

So the straight answer is this Ė I am a big fan of the Dodge Viper, but I do prefer the Ford Mustang if Iím honest.

Q6 - Who would you like to see in the Forum Hall of Fame?
Jacobclear. In the short space of time Iíve been here, I think heís had more bans than Roy Keane, Eric Cantona, Lee Bowyer and Sergio Ramos combined... Thatís some serious tekkers and I donít think it should go un-noticedÖ ha!

    Q7 - Any other hobbies?
Football. And Football. I also quite like football. And beer. And FootballÖ.

Also a fan of Ice Hockey. First got into it living in Sheffield when they started up a team (Sheffield Steelers) and then moved on to the NHL Ė Philadelphia Flyers were my favourite team and Eric Lindros my favourite player. I love stand-up comedy and also annoying my wife has become more of a passion than a hobby so I guess that can be included.

Q8 - What is the best thing about this forum?
Nobody knows each other, but everyone knows each other... if that makes sense. Everyone is very welcoming, no drama (well, not much, anyway). Common interest in the game and football. Great to see different hints and tips, new ďstuffĒ in the downloads section to try out and also peopleís stories too.

Q9 - What do you eat the most?
If I had it my way it would be fillet steakÖ breakfast lunch and dinner! But Iím not minted so I donít eat it all the timeÖ Iím a sucker for a packet (or 15) of crisps.

    Q10 - Who's your favourite babe m/f? pic please.
HmmmÖ. Probably Jennifer Aniston or Mila Kunis. Or both. Doing this at work, so no picture sorry lads. Youíll have to use your imagination... Iíll edit the post later when I get home.

Q11 - Post a pic of your favourite football shirt:
THIS (had to do a hyperlink as i'm getting an error trying to upload the image).

    https://www.classicfootballshirts.co...t-good-xl.html

Makes me think of France í98, Robbie Earle - I think more people in England wanted Jamaica to win that World Cup than they did England ha ha. Jamaica have some absolute RASCAL kits though and yes, I do own one! (not this one!)

Q12 - How would your mates describe you?
Iíll choose my words carefully: A loud beer guzzling fucking gobshite and a terribly bad influence.

Q13 - What position do you look to strengthen first in-game?
AMC. Itís the most important position in the way I play. I get players in to fit my formation and I am very rigid on that. I generally play with pants teams and build my way up the leagues and I am a 3-5-2 guy. Itís always decent young keeper, 3 solid CBís, 2 quick and creative wingers, solid CMís, AMC is always my best player and where Iíd blow my budget and strikers Iím generally not fussy. I like 3-5-2 as goals get spread over the team rather than one player with 960 goals in 38 games, plus it makes for some fun high scoring games. Iíll win the league and concede 60 odd goals, top banter. Itís a completely unreliable formation, particularly in the higher leagues but it means I donít win everything, every year so keeps it interesting.

Q14 - Where do you go to on vacation?
I donít go on vacation. I go on Holiday. Which American came up with this? Ha ha.

Always try to go to different places, since we had a baby (who is now 3 and we have a second on the way!) it does limit where you can go and what you can do but prior to him arriving I was lucky enough to visit some amazing places. Mexico was my favourite, but Singapore and Thailand are not far off. I think I enjoyed Amsterdam and Prague but I couldnít tell you for sure. Bit of a blur those two if Iím honestÖ

Q15 - What's your most loved movie/tv series and who's your fave character in it?
TV Series Ė Probably Breaking Bad. Also love Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. Really enjoyed Boardwalk EmpireÖhated the way it ended though.

I donít have a favourite film, there are too many. Growing up there were 2 film characters I wanted to be (ideally, a combination of both): James Bond and Santiago Munez!

Q16 - Menubars. Do you bother?
Nope. See point re IT skills (or lack of).

Q17 - What feature would you like to see implemented in CM01/02?
Clearly as part of the update team Iím going to have a Ďmare off about the Editor arenít I. The ability to amend the number of teams in leagues and add/remove leagues in countries. It stresses me and particularly my OCD out that there are the wrong teams in the wrong leagues. Where itís the odd team I can just about live with (eg Conference having 22 instead of 24) but MLS is horrific. I donít even play MLS but it annoys me that you can only get half the teams in there.

Q18 - What team do you hate with a passion and why them?
Chelsea, Arsenal & West Ham Ė order of those varies day-to-day. Reason why? Iím a Spurs fan.

Q19 - Compare yourself to a real life football player!
Alfredo Morelos. An annoying little shit to play against, will try to wind you up at every opportunity to get an edge. Proper angry small person syndrome Ė great against shit teams but would never make it in the big leagues (probably offended some Scotís there havenít IÖ give a shit though Iím Alfredo Morelos!)

Q20 - Who would you like to see answering questions next and have you got a special Q for them?
Iíll go for another newbie in the Update team - the villan

I think, many years ago, Aston Villa used to be in the premier league didnít they? (hehehe)

Pick your best Villa team since the start of the Premier League eraÖ you can only pick a maximum of one player from each season. 92/93 - 15/16

Q21 Ė Question from Riise: Are you enjoying being part of the Update Team? How time consuming is it?

Yes. As mentioned previously Ė I have zero IT skills so I was worried about that, but itís straightforward in terms of what you need to do and what you need to check etc Ė a set of clear rules to make it (almost) impossible to break anything. Plus, everyone is really helpful and bounces ideas off each other. I used to update my own database before I came across this website, and as per my answer to Q13, focus would generally be on the lower leagues in England as thatís what I play with most. I first downloaded the Summer Ď18 update and noticed a few suggested changes so I sent a message to Dermotron, by xmas Iíd done some scouting then transferred what Iíd done, into the DB in JanuaryÖ Then I got carried away and all of a sudden Iím adding physioís for non-league teams in Turkey, deleting duplicate players in the Bulgarian third division and finding out the kit colours for new team FC Valor in the Canadian Premier League.

You spend as much or as little time on it as you want and the good thing is everyone chips in and has their own area of focus, then the non-playable leagues everyone has a bash to keep them going and up to date. Coming close to update time, Iíd say a few evenings a week Iíll do some research and/or updates generally after my son and wife are in bed Ė couple of hours at a time. We all use the same sources and guidelines for consistency.

Clearly I like to play the game, and I like using the new updates to find new players to mix it up, Iím looking forward to the new update coming out and do take a bit of pride knowing Iíve contributed a bit to it.

Dont stress it - I've said far worse things on here before and am looking to clean up my act, comments like that keep me on my toes.

    Excellent interview!

Pale ales... Can't think of any decent pales as I'm more of an amber ale drinker but tribute might be up your street?

Portland Bill sounds like a dodgy character from Australia

Ha, different answer to the Vipers question! Very cleverly done!

I don't think anyone needs to use their imagination for Jennifer Aniston or Mila Kunis

Looks like we watch the same sort of stuff. Never watched Boardwalk Empire but recently rewatched Breaking Bad and GoT (before new series comes out!). Still tracking Walking Dead too.

Great to see how you've bedded into the update team, I remember the days where I'd get excited to cover the global leagues but couldn't keep the commitment up!

Nice question for the villan, that'd be a good topic on its own really.

I think Walking Dead is coming to the end of it's shelf life, personally - but i'm staying loyal. Defo recommend Boardwalk Empire. I was disappointed with the ending, but that's just personal opinion and doesn't take away that it's brilliant - some great 20's mob-style violence in there too!

re the question... it's got me thinking now about a Spurs team and I have a feeling my afternoon is not going to be very productive ha.

Could make it over an a 11 year slot to make it really challenging, e.g. 00/01 - 10/11, or 08/09 - 18/19 etc. so if 1 year out of that your team have all been rubbish you've got to put a donkey in there somewhere, then it could be open to everyone whoever they support :-)

    Another Flyers fan!?!?!??!?

I'm a die-hard supporter and have been since I started watching hockey. My gf is too. We go to Philly every year to catch a game. Going April 6th this year for the final home game of the season
